Goodbye

Xi Ting's forehead gently touched Qin Yan's forehead, and his breath burned her lips. His voice was low and hoarse. "I missed you so much."1

After he heard about her death till he met the new her, there was not even a single moment when she was not on his mind. He missed her badly.

Qin Yan's lips trembled from the heat of his breath. She grabbed his shirt with her right hand and crumpled the shirt by his waist showing her nervousness.

Xi Ting's gaze suddenly darkened again, and his lips fell on hers passionately and violently.

He could not hide his joy as he let out a hoarse chuckle from his throat.

Qin Yan's hand on his waist held onto his shoulder to support herself. He had taken away more than half of her breath, and she was now trying her best to absorb the oxygen in the air.

Her face was blushing as if she was drunk. Her originally clear eyes were covered in fog and were misty.

Xi Ting couldn't help but look at her eyes again.

From the corner of her eyes and eyebrows to her slightly trembling eyelashes, not a single part of her eyes fell.

Qin Yan thought, no wonder people who were in love were always willing to stick together, kiss, and hug, regardless of whether it was in her previous life or this life.

So it felt this good.

She even understood the mentality of those star-chasing young ladies and those handsome idols that they liked.

Wasn't there a beauty ceiling right in front of her eyes?

Qin Yan even had the feeling that kissing him was a win-win situation.

She narrowed her eyes and looked at Xi Ting's eyelashes that were also trembling.

Qin Yan suspected that he was also nervous.

For some unknown reason, Qin Yan also planted a kiss on Xi Ting's eyes.

Xi Ting took a deep and tense breath. His dark eyes were still burning as he attacked her lips again.

Qin Yan's clothes were in a mess, and her long hair was penetrated by Xi Ting's long fingers. It was so messy that it made one's thoughts waver.

Xi Ting put her down. When Qin Yan's knees softened and she was about to sit down, he held her in time.

Qin Yan buried her face in his chest and sniffed the fragrance on his body.

Xi Ting pecked her red ears and sniffed the fragrance on her neck that was becoming sweeter and sweeter as her body temperature rose.

Xi Ting then sighed and said, "I can't hug you anymore. If I hug you any longer, something bad will happen."

Even though he said that, Xi Ting still kissed Qin Yan's lips reluctantly before letting go of her. He then ran off to calm down.

After Qin Yan calmed down a little, she went to order dinner. They had not eaten anything till now. First she had taken him to watch the play and then they had directly returned to his condominium without eating anything. After ordering the dinner, Qin Yan went into the guest room to freshen herself up.

On the other hand, Xi Ting took a shower before answering the call on his cellphone. Both of them returned to the dining room when food had arrived.

Xi Ting served the food on the plates without looking at Qin Yan. He was afraid that if he glanced at her, he would have to take a cold shower again.

Qin Yan sat on the opposite side of the table and gazed at her moonpie. She wanted to keep looking at him. She watched his movements and found him extremely handsome at this point of time.

Xi Ting felt a gaze on him and his ears turned red. He glanced at the girl sitting on the opposite side from the corner of his eyes and saw her staring at him, "Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Like what? Can't I look at my boyfriend?" Qin Yan asked teasingly. She had already noticed his blush and thus wanted to tease him more, "My boyfriend is so handsome, so I want to take a few more looks at him. What's wrong, moonpie?"

Xi Ting's eyes darkened at her teasing. He put the plate in his hand on the table and strode towards Qin Yan.

Seeing him coming towards her, Qin Yan finally felt the fear. But it was too late. Her smile faded and it was replaced by an instinct of running away. Just as she got up from her chair and thought of running away, Xi Ting grabbed her and picked her up in a princess hug. He then carried her to the couch and kissed her deeply.

At the end of the kiss, both of them were panting heavily. "Want to tease me more?" Xi Ting asked, his finger tracing her face.

Qin Yan shook her head in denial, her eyes full of mist. He arched back at his touch and begged him, "Let me go now!"

"You can look at me closely now! Didn't you want to stare at your boyfriend? What's wrong now, baby?" Xi Ting teased Qin Yan with a smirk on his face, "You can also taste me along with looking at me. Isn't it great?" he moved towards her lips again.

"No, No, I am sorry, I won't tease you anymore. Let's eat now, okay?" Qin Yan admitted defeat. She could not get as shameless as he was.

"You can eat me..."

'Rumble, Rumble..' a voice rang out from Qin Yan's stomach.

Xi Ting sighed and got up from the couch. "Your stomach saved you this time. Come, let's eat."

Qin Yan was overjoyed and quickly got up fearing that Xi Ting would change his mind anytime. She took her seat again and as Xi Ting arranged everything, both of them started the meal. Qin Yan had a big smile on her face and her happiness was depicted on her face clearly. Although Xi Ting maintained the stoic face of his, if looked closely, one could see his lips slightly curved up.

When the meal was nearing its end, Xi Ting's face turned serious and he gazed at Qin Yan. Getting his cookie's attention on him, he said, "I have to leave tomorrow."

Qin Yan's smile faded as soon as she heard this, "Tomorrow itself?"

"Yes, the work in the capital cannot be delayed anymore," Xi Ting said somberly.

"Okay.." Qin Yan hung her head low, upset with the thought of getting separated from him.

Xi Ting looked at his upset girl and asked, "Have you thought of the university you want to get admitted to?"

"Yes, the capital's Medical Academy," Qin Yan replied, her eyes shining with light.

"Yay! I will come to your city then. We can meet often!" She realised why Xi Ting had put forward this question. It was just to make her understand that their separation would not be long.

Xi Ting smiled seeing a bright smile on his girl's face again. He could not bear to see her upset, and not atleast because of him.

Both of them then washed their hands and then sat on the couch again whispering sweet nothings to each other. They talked till late night before retiring to their respective rooms.

The next day, Qin Yan packed her items in Xi Ting's condo and shifted them to her condo again. Xi Ting's luggage was packed and put into his car. The driver was to send his luggage back to the Moonlight villa.

Both Xi Ting and Qin Yan climbed onto the rooftop. A chopper landed on the helipad.

Qin Yan looked at her moonpie with tears in her eyes. She did not want to let him go. She wanted to stay with him forever. This short separation also broke her heart into pieces.

Xi Ting held her shoulders and looked into her eyes, "I need to go now. Promise me you will take care of yourself."

A tear fell from Qin Yan's eyes as she nodded her head, "You also take care of yourself, don't get injured again. Don't go anywhere without your bodyguards. Also give my greeting to my darling..." Qin Yan uttered a set of instructions for her loved one.

Xi Ting gazed at her girl lovingly and heard all her instructions patiently. He agreed to all of them before pulling her into his arms. Both of them hugged each other tightly. If not for her fractured hand, Qin Yan felt that Xi Ting would have embedded her into his bones.

Xi Ting then kissed Qin Yan's tears away, "I don't want to see you cry. I don't like to see tears in your eyes. So don't cry anymore, okay?"

Qin Yan took a deep breath and made herself understand, 'It's okay. It's just a few days. I can contact him on calls and messages. Then I'll get to meet him again,' she consoled her mind before smiling at Xi Ting.

Xi Ting saw that his cookie has collected herself and he planted a final kiss on her forehead, "I have to leave now. See you in few days. Take care till then.." With that he walked towards the chopper and bade goodbye to his cookie.
