Surprise!

"Sister Yan, let's go please," the little bun used his charm on Qin Yan and looked at her with his big round eyes.

How could Qin Yan resist the charm of little bun? She agreed immediately, "Okay! Let's go!"

Xi Ting's eyes lit up. On the other hand, Xi Jung showed a thumbs up to the little devil. Only he could coax Qin Yan immediately.

The four of them boarded the car and Qin Yan had the little guy sit in the middle of her and Xi Ting.

She teased the little guy by pulling his cheeks and kissing him. The little bun blushed furiously, "Sister Yan, don't tease me."

Xi Ting looked at the duo and smiled. He liked this feeling of being accompanied by his family. Qin Yan was like a missing puzzle piece in his family potrait.

Xi Jung looked on the backseat and a faint smile blossomed on his face seeing his brother happy. Finally after such a long time, his brother seemed so happy.

Everyone had different thoughts in their minds as the car reached Gold and Silver Pavilion.

The family got out of the car with Xi Jung leading them to the entrance.

"Welcome Young Master Xi, Second Young Master Xi, Little young master and Miss Qin," the manager greeted everyone separately. He was familiar with the main branch of the Xi family as Young masters were friends with their bosses.

This was so ironic. Xi Yaohua, even being a member of side branch of Xi family had never seen the little bun's face. On the other hand, the manager of Xi brothers' friends' restaurant recognised the little guy.

Xi Ting nodded at the manager's greeting.

"Please come in. I'll take you to your booked table," the manager led the way while the family followed him.

The manager led the family to the rooftop of the hotel.

The setting was perfect. Candlelight, polished cutlery and a single rose set in a delicate vase decorated every single table. The soft sweet music of the violin kept the mood amorous.

Being the best hotel and restaurant of the S city, the whole city was visible from the rooftop.

The city looked beautiful from up there, tiny twinkles of light winked brightly at them. The night was cool, and the air quite chilly.

The family took their seats on the table where again the little bun was seated between Xi Ting and Qin Yan. Qin Yan didn't want to separate from the little guy even for a moment.

Xi Ting looked at Qin Yan and subconsciously stared at her. Her gorgeous face was even more mesmerizing in the dim light. He suddenly felt regretful bringing his family over.

Sensing this regret, he glared at Xi Jung who was the one who wanted all of them to be together.

Xi Jung felt a glare from his brother and felt extremely confused, 'What was wrong! What had he done now to receive his brother's glare!'

Xi Ting brought his gaze back from his brother and signalled the waiter for something.

Suddenly, all the lights went dim with only the candlelight brightening up every table. The other guests along with Qin Yan grew confused at what was happening.

Qin Yan looked around and saw the calm faces of men of Xi family. Her confusion deepened but before she could think further..

"Boom!"

Following the loud explosive sound, "small missiles" flew into the air one by one, and a large group of fireworks like a handle with huge umbrellas exploded in the air. A cluster of dazzling lights were illuminating the night sky, like a clump of flowers in full bloom which was floating with golden powder. A series of fireworks burst high in the air. And finally, like countless meteors with long tails, those fireworks reluctantly slipped from the night sky.

"Wow, it's so amazing!" People on the rooftop were amazed seeing the fireworks show.

Xi Ting and the little guy looked over at Qin Yan and saw her face filled with surprise. Qin Yan was bewildered and looked at the sky in surprise. Her small mouth opened slightly in amazement and her eyes twinkled with light.

The night sky was as bright as the day with the effects of fireworks, and the shapes along with the colors of the fireworks changed the entire time. Various images of animals and Chinese characters were shown in the air.

Finally fireworks burst in the air and a few words were seen in the sky...

"CONGRATULATIONS QIN YAN!"

A moment later, another line of words appeared in the form of fireworks..

"COLLEGE ENTRANCE EXAM PROVINCIAL TOPPER!"

Everyone looked in surprise. They didn't know who the topper was this year.

Qin Yan's mouth and eyes were opened wide in surprise.

Before she could process anything, a waiter pushed a cart carrying a triple layer cake on it.

The Xi family men stood up gentlemanly and brought the cart in front of Qin Yan.

Qin Yan stood there in daze. Xi Jung handed over the knife to Qin Yan encouraging her to cut the cake.

"Congratulations Qin Yan for scoring the highest marks in college entrance exam," Xi Jung clapped his hands.

"Congratulations Sister Yan for being the provincial topper," the little guy clapped his small hands as well with a shine in his eyes. He was proud of her.

Seeing Qin Yan still in daze, Xi Ting walked over to her and held her hand with a knife in it. He whispered in her ear, "Congratulations cookie, your moonpie is proud of you!"

Qin Yan flinched back when Xi Ting's voice reverberated in her ears. The feeling of him being so close was different.

Qin Yan and Xi Ting held the knife together and finally cut the cake. The little bun and Xi Jung clapped happily.

Qin Yan's face blossomed with a wide smile and even her eyes curved with a smile. She noticed that every time she was this happy, the reason had something to do with her moonpie. He was one of the most important sources of her happiness.

She was really surprised at this scene. She had never imagined that Xi Ting would do so much for her. She didn't think that he would bring his family to the S city all the way from the capital just to celebrate her success with her.

Being with her closed ones, she felt her heart full of happiness. Her eyes were filled with tears of joy. Till this time, although being a provincial college entrance exam topper was a really big deal for everyone, Qin Yan didn't think much of it. But now that Xi Ting and the little guy celebrated this success for her, she felt happy for her success.

Although she was born intelligent and College entrance exam was not much a challenge to her, but still she had to work hard since it had been a long time she appeared in the exam in her previous life.

This hard work had paid off and thus the success celebrated was also worth it.

After the cake cutting, Xi Jung instructed the waiter to distribute the cake to everyone. They wanted maximum of the guests to know of Qin Yan's success.

Everyone then took their seats for the dinner. Two waiters served the food immediately.

When she looked at the spread on the table, Qin Yan was surprised again. All the dishes were her favourites. She was too happy to realise that her moonpie had not forgotten anything. He remembered what her likes and dislikes were.

Even though he was not very good at expressing his love with the help of words, but his actions proved everything. This meant a lot to her.

Even though he did not eat spicy food, but for her, all the dishes were spicy. He did not think of himself for even a little bit.

Qin Yan signalled the waiter and whispered something to him.

After a while three more dishes were served. These were Xi Ting's favourites. The little guy looked at his father enviously. Sister Yan cared so much for his father.

As his and Qin Yan's taste was almost similar, she didn't order for him separately.

On the other hand, Xi Jung face was scrunched up as he was fed with dog food continuously. He looked at his brother and Qin Yan and then lowered his head to focus on his food.

'Let them do whatever they want, I will focus on my love- my food!' he decided in his mind.

During the meal, Xi Ting kept putting food in Qin Yan's bowl and Qin Yan picked food for the little guy.

Soon Qin Yan's bowl was filled up with food like a mountain. She looked at Xi Ting speechlessly. 'Did he think that my stomach is a hole! Does he think I can eat so much!'

Xi Ting noticed Qin Yan's glare on him and looked at her bowl filled up with food. He scratched his nose in embarrassment and stopped adding food to her bowl.0

The meal ended like this with Qin Yan and the little guy filled upto the brim. The two of them burped in a similar manner and returned in an extremely relaxed state.
