Shen Zhenbai ignored his son's confusion and said, "Imagine getting a person to support you when you are at your lowest. At this time, Qiao Qing is at her lowest. If you approach her and act like you love her, what will she do! She will literally fall head over heels in your love. Then how easy it would be to manipulate her!"2

"On the other hand, the other heiresses of the influential families are confident and rich themselves. If you try to approach them, there will be very few things that you could offer to them. You would have to spend endlessly just to get familiar with them."

"In case of Qiao Qing, as she has not seen the society, it is very easy to fool her. Moreover, expensive gifts and other things would not be needed as long as you pretend to provide her with emotional support. Do you understand what I am trying to say?"

Shen Yong thought for a while. Now that he considered everything, he felt that his father actually made sense. It was very easy to lure emotionally vulnerable people in your trap. On the other hand, it would be really difficult to get a confident person to fall in love with him mindlessly.

Despite understanding the situation, he still had few doubts in his mind. He did not hesitate anymore and asked Shen Zhenbai, "But as you said, this Qiao Qing seems to be an unfavoured daughter. Will the Qiao family support our Shen group on account of Qiao Qing?"

Shen Zhenbai continued, "So if you become her boyfriend now, they will be more than happy to have their daughter be with an excellent guy like you. They would support the Shen group wholeheartedly fearing that if they disappointed you, their daughter would suffer."

Shen Yong nodded after considering all the things that Shen Zhenbai said. However, his heart still could not accept that he had to marry a monster.

He said, "This is all fine. But how can I bear to see her face everyday? There is no way that I could be willing to spend time with her."

Shen Zhenbai who had a rich experience in women had a solution to every problem, "You don't need to see her everyday. After you become her boyfriend, just speak on calls. Just make sure to support her emotionally till you get married. After marriage, when you take over Shen group, torture her mentally. She is so weak-minded that she would automatically commit suicide. We don't even need to explain anything. We will win at all fronts. Then you can marry your girlfriend."

Shen Yong's eyes lit up after listening to his father's idea. Finally, his father helped him with something.

He nodded, "Okay, I will listen to daddy!"

Shen Yong and his father had reached an agreement on what to do, but Qiao Qing knew nothing about it. She had no idea that she was being targeted by someone.

She was still a timid girl trying to cope up with her life and circumstances. One day when she was being bullied by some students, Shen Yong came out of nowhere and saved her.

Qiao Qing always had a habit of fighting everything by herself so when she saw someone standing up for her, her heart got filled with warmth. From then, she and Shen Yong started interacting with each other.

From the moment they first met, Shen Yong's expression had been cold and stern. But his actions represented something different. Qiao Qing thought Shen Yong was a quiet man, so she did not mind.

When they confirmed their relationship, Shen Yong revealed his identity to Qiao Qing. The latter was even more shocked knowing that a young master of a good family had taken a fancy to her. Everything was too good to be true.

Qiao Qing knew nothing about the successor war of Shen Corporation. But as she had just turned eighteen, she did not have enough courage to introduce Shen Yong to her parents.

Shen Yong tolerated all this as he knew that since Qiao Qing was not yet of the age of marriage, it would not be of any benefit even if she introduced him to her parents.

But as the time passed, all of Shen Yong's efforts to defeat Shen Xing had turned futile. And the successor war was gaining more momentum now.

BACK TO THE PRESENT!

Qiao Qing walked closely with Shen Yong. She talked about anything and everything to her boyfriend.

Shen Yong was full of disdain. Just as he was about to say something, he sensed a strong smell of perfume. Qiao Qing leaned forward and held Shen Yong's arm, "Brother Yong, I love you!"

Shen Yong's body stiffened. He wished he could push Qiao Qing's hand away. How shameless was she to get clingy in the middle of the road. He was tolerating her face and now he had to tolerate her perfume too! Shen Yong felt disgusted by Qiao Qing.

However, he could not push her away. He remembered that he needed to talk to Qiao Qing. If he lost his composure now, all his efforts of last year would go to waste. He had to endure it somehow.

Shen Yong lowered his eyelids and took a step back in disgust. After taking a deep breath, he asked in a low voice, "Qing Qing, then when will you introduce me to your parents? It's almost an year since we met but you haven't taken me home. My dad knows about you but in your house nobody knows about us."

Shen Yong continued to act pitiful, "Qing Qing, is it that you are ashamed of me and thus you don't want to take me home?"

Seeing Shen Yong doubt himself, Qiao Qing felt a pain in her heart. This was the man who supported her in thick and thin. He was one of the reasons because of which she started loving herself a little bit. And now because of her, this outstanding man was doubting himself.

Qiao Qing was not yet ready to introduce her boyfriend to her parents. It was not because Shen Yong was lacking in something but she felt that her parents would definitely stop them from dating if she introduced him now.

But seeing Shen Yong sad, Qiao Qing cried out, "Brother Yong! It is nothing like that. How can I be ashamed of you. It could be the other way but you love me so much. How can I be ashamed of such an outstanding man! Do not ever think like this. Otherwise I won't know what to do."

Shen Yong endured his disgust and pulled Qiao Qing in his arms, "Silly girl, why are you feeling bad? It's just that I am really insecure about our relationship. What if your parents introduce you to somebody else? Knowing what a sweetheart you are, anybody would love to have you in their lives. What would I do then?"

Shen Yong patted Qiao Qing's hand and continued, "I just fear losing you. That is why I am asking you to take me home. Nothing else."

Qiao Qing didn't know why but her heart was not permitting her to let Shen Yong and her parents meet. It was just her intuition but she felt that this was not the right time.

However, now she had to coax Shen Yong, so she smiled and got closer to him, "Give me some time. Once I settle down in the university, I will definitely take you home. Brother Yong, we have already waited so long. Let the right time arrive, I promise I will introduce you to my parents!"

Shen Yong's eyes showed slight struggle as if he had suffered a great loss. He held himself back and grabbed Qiao Qing's hand, "Okay, I trust you, my dear!"

Qiao Qing leaned over and hugged Shen Yong's arm tighter, "Let's go to the concert now!"

Shen Yong's smile disappeared but he still held onto Qiao Qing, "Okay milady!" He hugged Qiao Qing making her blush.

The couple left with smiles on their faces.

Qin Yan leaned against the wall, deep in thought. How did Qiao Qing end up with this guy? Also why hadn't she mentioned him to any of them? Countless questions were running through Qin Yan's mind. The answers to these questions could only be found by speaking to Qiao Qing.

But if she was hiding this man from her, should she take initiative to ask or should she wait for Qiao Qing to tell her?

Qin Yan was confused of her future actions as she had observed every expression on the man's face which Qiao Qing was unaware of. She saw the disdain and disgust clearly. But what should she do now! Qin Yan returned to her class deep in thought.
