[Bonus chapter] Qin Mufeng returns!

Xi Ting held the car keys in his hand and walked out with Qin Yan, "I'll drop you!"2

Qin Yan nodded. Xi Ting pulled out a low key car and the two of them drove to the Beijing University. 

Upon reaching the university, Qin Yan had Xi Ting stop the car at a distance. She didn't want any kind of rumours to spread in the college. Xi Ting understood this and did not dwell on the matter. 

"I will come over on the weekend," Qin Yan bade goodbye to Xi Ting and rushed to her dormitory as she did not want to get late for the class.

Thankfully, all her roommates had already departed for their own classes otherwise she would have to explain her actions of previous day to them as well.

Qin Yan picked up her bag pack and quickly rushed to the class.

After the class, as Qin Yan was walking towards her dormitory, her gaze stopped at a familiar figure. Qin Yan felt that it had been a long time since she had seen him. She missed him sometimes but more than that she was disappointed in him.

Qin Yan didn't wish to speak to him so she ignored the person and tried to walk away.

"Yan Yan!" Qin Mufeng spotted Qin Yan and strode towards her, "Yan Yan, how are you?"

Qin Yan flashed a fake smile at her brother, "I am fine."

Qin Mufeng felt a pang in his heart seeing Qin Yan's formal behaviour. But he knew that he was at fault.

"Shall we have dinner together?" Qin Mufeng asked his sister while apologizing, "I want to catch up on all things from last few days. We will have fun. What say?" Qin Mufeng ignored the cold expression of Qin Yan and tried to behave like everything was normal.

Qin Yan glanced at Qin Mufeng and thought how he hadn't even come to meet her when she moved to the capital. He did not even bother to call or text her to know about her situation. And now he wanted to know about her. What a hypocrite!

She was very upset so she didn't mince her words, "No need. I don't have time to have a meal with you. Moreover, it has already been a month since I moved into the University. You didn't have time to ask before and now that you are asking, let me tell you that I have adjusted well. I don't need any help. I can do everything by myself. There is no need for you to be concerned for me. Instead you should be concerned about other people in the family. They might need you everytime," Qin Yan lashed out at Qin Mufeng and walked away without looking back.

"Yan Yan.." A box of Qin Yan's favourite cookies appeared in Qin Mufeng's hands but Qin Yan had already walked away. 

Qin Mufeng stood there in silence. He gazed at the box of cookies in his hand and smiled sadly. Tears emerged in his eyes but he held them back. 

His beloved sister was so angry at him that she did not even want to have a meal with him. He knew that Qin Yan's anger was justified as he had thoroughly disappointed her.

But he also knew that he had no other option back then. He had to choose one party at that time. And to bring peace to Qin family, he had no choice but to choose the family.

He had left Qin Yan by herself as he knew that she would be able to handle herself. Moreover, the man behind her would not let anything happen to her.

But this had generated a rift in the siblings' relationship which was very deep to fill in. He still wanted to try his best to bring everything back to normal.

The situations however were not in his favour. As soon as the college admissions began, he had to leave the city for a field trip. They had to visit a village and design a development plan for the village. But the village was so remote that there was barely any mobile network to make calls or send messages. He had not even contacted anyone from the family and as soon as he returned, he purchased a box of cookies for his sister and came to meet her.

Although he knew that he would receive a cold shoulder from her but knowing something and experiencing it were two different things. 

His sweet little sister had turned so cold just because of his deeds. He felt his heart tear apart seeing Qin Yan's behaviour towards him. However, he couldn't do anything but coax her now. He did not want to lose his sister. He decided to do everything he could to console her.

Qin Mufeng looked at the dormitory finally and left despondently.

The next few days, Qi Mufeng stood Qin Yan's dormitory every day. The moment she returned to the dormitory, she would see Qin Mufeng with different gifts everyday. 

It could be seen that he was hellbent on mending his relationship but Qin Yan's heart did not melt. She was the kind of person who if got disappointed with someone would not give the latter a second chance.

Even after receiving cold shoulder from Qin Yan everytime, Qin Mufeng did not stop. He was behaving like a pursuer and the girls in the dormitory had started thinking that Qin Mufeng was Qin Yan's admirer.

Qin Mufeng had inherited Qin Yicheng's looks and thus was quite handsome. His tall posture along with his angular features and gentle aura attracted quite a lot of girls in the female dormitory. Some of them even turned to be his fans.

These female fans felt that Qin Yan was going overboard. It had been so many days but Qin Yan still didn't even speak to Qin Mufeng properly. Even though Qin Mufeng knew that it was not easy to gain his sister's forgiveness, but he did not want to give up.

On the other hand, the female fans felt that Qin Yan was being arrogant by ignoring such a warm and gentle man.
