Zhou Daxin and Huang Jiajia sat on their beds worried for Qin Yan.

"What is going on with Qin Yan? Is that guy harassing her?" Zhou Daxin said anxiously.

"How can we know? Even if we ask her, she doesn't reply to this question. I hope everything is all right," Huang Jiajia was also concerned for her roommate.

"Why are you guys fretting over this matter? It is clear that even after having a boyfriend, Qin Yan enjoys the attention of other guys and that is why she has kept him hanging," Ma Haina commented viciously.

"Ma Haina! Don't spout nonsense! Qin Yan isn't this type of person!" Huang Jiajia grew angry.

The next day was a holiday so the two friends decided to roam around the next day.

In the evening, when Qin Yan came back to the dormitory, as usual Qin Mufeng was waiting for her there.

Qin Yan sighed. She didn't know how to deal with this situation. After seeing Qin Mufeng's efforts to seek forgiveness, her anger and disappointed had disappeared by half.

But still she could not bring herself to behave as if nothing had happened between them. Sometimes her heart ached terribly as she realised that these were the feelings of the original owner. It seemed that the original owner relied on her brother too much as she didn't get the love and attention from other family members.

Nonetheless, Qin Yan herself was not yet ready to get back to normal with Qin Mufeng. She walked past the man with the intention of ignoring him.

But Qin Mufeng clearly didn't want to let go today. He called out to her, "Yan Yan! Wait a minute!"

Qin Yan stopped in her tracks hearing Qin Mufeng's voice. There was an unconcealable sadness in his voice. Listening to him, Qin Yan didn't know why but her heart ached terribly.

Qin Mufeng ran towards Qin Yan and stood in front of her, "Yan Yan! I know it is not easy for you to forgive me but I really don't want to break our sibling relationship. I know I don't deserve your forgiveness but can you for once, try to pardon your brother?"

As he said this, Qin Mufeng knelt down on his knees in front of his sister, tears rolling down his eyes. He was tired. He was tired of managing everything. Even though he didn't like his family's attitude towards Qin Yan, he had to put up with it. It was extremely difficult for him to choose between the Qin family and Qin Yan and he didn't want to give up on any of them.

Qin Yan was his beloved little sister and her being disappointed with him tore his heart apart. He found it difficult to breathe when he thought of how he had disappointed his sister.

These days he thought of everything he could do to gain Qin Yan's forgiveness but he failed. Day by day, he had started feeling helpless. Today he felt like he had to gain her forgiveness at any cost.

He had not planned to kneel down but seeing Qin Yan unmoved by his efforts, he had no choice but to resort to kneeling down. He could give up everything including his pride for his little sister's forgiveness.

The sister who used to smile at him lovingly now was giving him cold shoulder. Her blossoming smile would disappear from her face whenever she saw him. How could Qin Mufeng bear all this!

Qin Yan on the other hand was stunned seeing Qin Mufeng kneel down. She wanted to stop him but it was as if she was frozen on spot.

Qin Mufeng took out a gift from back and opened it in front of Qin Yan. Qin Yan saw a resin plate in front of her with a collage of the photos of Qin Yan and Qin Mufeng. The photos comprised of their journey together from childhood till Qin Yan turned into an adult.

Qin Mufeng wiped his tears and showed the resin plate to Qin Yan, "Yan Yan, look we have experienced so much together. We had fights in childhood as well but you never got this angry with me. I am your big brother and you are my little sister. This fact will never change. Even if you don't forgive me, I will always be your big brother. This is my final call to you. I won't bother you again. But I still hope that you forgive one mistake of your brother. I promise you I will never disappoint you from now on. Just this once, okay?"

Qin Mufeng stuffed the gift in Qin Yan's hands and said, "This is for you. If you don't wish to keep this with you, you are free to throw it away. But I still wish for you to pardon me once," Qin Mufeng's face was covered in tears.

With that Qin Mufeng got up and turned around, walking back while wiping his tears.

Qin Yan gazed at her brother's back and felt a rare sense of loneliness and helplessness from him. She looked at the gift in her hands and her heart trembled. She had an urge to call her brother back but till she collected herself, Qin Mufeng was no longer in her sight.
