Another murder!
0Qin Mufeng smirked. Lu Yaran's threats meant nothing to him, so he didn't even blink an eye.
After staying quiet for some time, he said in a raspy and confused tone, "Ma'am, let me remind you that I am still a patient."
"Are you crazy? Mufeng just woke up. How could you try to hit him?"
Qin Yicheng quickly pulled Lu Yaran away. He was so strong that he caused her to stumble a little.
Wei Yuanfan also rushed forward to stop her. "Mrs. Qin, we already told you that the patient suffered serious trauma. To be honest, it's already a miracle that he survived and woke up. Judging by his current condition, we can pretty much conclude that he has amnesia. We will have to observe him further to determine whether it's long-term or short-term. But…"
"But what? I told you I wanted to have him treated overseas! It's all yours and that brat's fault for stopping me! If Mufeng doesn't recover his memory, I won't let you get away with it!"
Wei Yuanfan's expression also turned cold, "Mrs. Qin, don't take things too far. We can only tolerate so much. The hospital is here to cure and save people, not for you to insult! If you have a problem with us, then feel free to change hospitals! If you have so much faith in the medical facilities overseas, then why don't you fly overseas every time you catch the flu or have a fever!"
"How dare you speak back at me! You're the incapable one! Otherwise…"
"You guys take your time. I'm going back to rest."
The skinny man stood up; he looked even taller than usual. Paired with his powerful aura, he had a strong sense of intimidation.
The pain in his legs hadn't recovered yet. So he sat in his wheelchair with a coat on.
Somehow, his unremarkable clothes looked stylish on his body.
Qin Muran's eyes sparkled as she asked, "Brother, are you still my brother?"
For some reason, before she managed to react, she had subconsciously asked this question.
She was a bit surprised by herself.
"No."
But the man's response was quick, simple, and without hesitation.
"Dr. Wei, please take me back to my room," Qin Mufeng pulled over his wheelchair and proceeded to his hospital room.

Qin Yan was currently unaware of the happenings in the Qin family. She stood before Yun Jian's house and waited for the latter to open the door.
"Yan Yan!" Yun Jian greeted Qin Yan before bringing the latter into the house.
"What happened? Why did you call me at such an urgent notice?" Qin Yan sat on the couch in the living room and sipped the tea that Yun Jian had offered to her.
"We have found some clues on the previous cases," Yun Jian said solemnly.
Hearing Yun Jian, Qin Yan perked up, "What's the status then?"
"As you guessed, the clues point out that all the cases are connected," Yun Jian opened the investigation papers in her hands.
"What did you find out?" Qin Yan asked in curiosity.
"It's like this.." Yun Jian described everything that her team had figured out till now.
"We have shortlisted two main suspects but we still don't know who is the criminal," Yun Jian concluded, "We will interrogate both of them and try to figure out the situation."
Qin Yan fell deep in thought after her conversation with Yun Jian.
Suddenly, Yun Jian's phone rang.
"Yes, what's the matter?" Yun Jian asked.
The caller responded after which Yun Jian stood up immediately from the couch.
"What? Mr. Gu Yinglei is dead?"

THREE DAYS AGO.
In a car in suburbs of a hospital.
Music player of the car was set to 1300 decibels sound which was the highest sound of the player. It was a defining sound which could cause real harm to a person listening to it.
The man in the car opened a bag while listening to the loud music. The bag contained a large amount of soda bottles. The man opened a bottle and started drinking them one by one.
He then opened a jar of coffee powder and ate it continuously along with drinking the soda. Checking on his smartwatch, his heart rate was still 72 beats per minutes.
He continued eating the creamy coffee powder and drinking the soda. Even though he had the urge to vomit, he did not stop. His heart rate reached 78 beats per minute.
The air conditioning in the car was switched on to the maximum level but the man had started sweating. He continued having the coffee powder and soda and his heart rate reached 95 beats per minute.
"Shit! Why is it going up so slowly!" the man exclaimed in frustration.
He pulled out a vial and a syringe from his bag and administered himself a drug injection. His smartwatch showed the heart rate at 120 beats per minute.
By this time, the man was sweating buckets. His eyes could barely stay open, his lips started shivering and his breathing quickened. Heart rate: 145 beats per minute.
He got out of the car panting heavily. Somehow or the other, he walked in front of the hospital in an extremely weakened state. He felt everything around him moving around and he was just a while away from fainting.
He had a hand on his chest as he stumbled towards the hospital gate. Finally, the man fainted.
The laptop screen in his car displayed a google search "How to induce a heart attack!"

The nurses and ward boys wheeled a stretcher in the emergency room of the hospital. The man on the stretcher was unconscious as he was immediately taken to the emergency room.
A couple of hours later, the doctor checked on the man as he regained his consciousness.
"You had erratic heartbeats. If you were some time late, it would have caused serious consequences. Fortunately, you are fine now. Your body is also responding to the medicines. Take care and if you need anything, press the bell placed on your side," the doctor spoke to the man and advised him.
Since it was a case of a heart attack, the man was shifted to the ICU of the hospital.
"If your condition improves, you will be discharged in three days. But till then you have to stay in the ICU," the attending doctor concluded.
"Okay!" the man responded weakly.
"Fine then, I'll see you around," the doctor bade goodbye to the man.
As the doctor left, the man turned his head to the right.
Mr. Gu Yinglei was lying on the other bed with a ventilator providing him required oxygen support.
The man turned his head away and rested for a while.
*
12.45 am.
The man pulled over the curtains surrounding his bed and saw a nurse still sitting on the attending station. She was engrossed in a phone call. Disappointingly, the man rested for a while more.
4 am.
When the man pulled over the curtain again, he saw the nurse sleeping on the attending station. A smile slowly crept on his lips.
Slowly, he pulled off all the instruments attached on his body before getting up from his bed. He wore his spectacles back and strode towards Gu Yinglei's bed.
"Tu Tu Tu Tu.." the hospital machine's sound was quite clear in the silent Intensive Care Unit. A dim light was turned on so that the patients could get adequate rest.
The man reached Gu Yinglei's bed and pulled over the curtain surrounding the latter's bed before walking closer to Gu Yinglei.
He looked around and seeing the safe atmosphere, he held the blanket covering Gu Yinglei before removing the ventilator from with the help of the blanket.
He then looked at the machine monitoring Gu Yinglei's vitals.
"Haaaa...Haaaaaa....Haaaaaa..." Gu Yinglei had difficulty in breathing as his breathing rate decreased substantially.
The zig zag line on the electrocardiogram gradually turned straight as Gu Yinglei stopped breathing.
The man reattached the ventilator to Gu Yinglei's body seeing his mission accomplished.
He prayed to God and asked for the forgiveness to his actions before returning to his own bed.
*
The next morning after Mr. Gu's death.
"Your condition is quite stable now. I have prescribed you medicines but this should be accompanied with regular exercise and yes, no stress. Okay?" The attending doctor advised the man.
"Okay. Thank you doctor," The man thanked the doctor considerately.
"By the way, the patient on the last bed..He was taken away in the morning. What happened to him?" the man asked the doctor in concern.
Doctor: "He is no more."
"Oh god!"
Doctor: "We lost him this morning. Anyway, I'll get your discharge papers ready, okay? Since you have improved, there is no need to stay for three days."
"Fine."
"Take care," the doctor walked away with the reports in his hand.

In the hospital corridor.
"We had a very strong hope. According to the brain scan report, there is no activity in the brain. Unfortunately, your father slipped into brain dead condition," A senior doctor offered his condolences to Gu Yinglei's family.
