Keep an eye on him

Qin Yan and Yun Jian immediately left the latter's house to investigate the case.

In the first suspect's house.

A servant served two glasses of water to Qin Yan and Yun Jian. The two looked around the house of the suspect carefully.

"What the hell is going on? Why did you pierce her hand so hard? I give you money to take care of my wife and not to torture her. Do it properly," A man roared at the nurse attending his sick wife.

"Sorry Sir," the nurse apologized.

The man stormed out of the room and saw Qin Yan and Yun Jian.

"Yes ladies, what's the matter?" he asked them.

Yun Jian got up from the couch and introduced herself, "Hello, I am Senior officer Yun Jian from crime branch."

"Oh, please sit," the man offered seats to the duo.

"It's a routine inquiry..."

"Do you mind if I smoke?" the man interrupted Yun Jian.

"No.."

"Thanks. So how can I help you?" The man asked the duo.

"Routine inquiry, Sir. We know that your wife is sick. These days smuggling is quite common in the medical field. Some people offer organs for immense amount of money, some trade with blood," Yun Jian continued, "So we wanted to know, did anyone approach you with regard to your wife?"

"Nobody approached me," The man said, "I am waiting since last three years. Every night I am afraid that something will happen to my wife. What would I do then?"

"Living with a patient is worse than being a patient, officer," the man threw his cigarette in the ash tray, "In this situation if somebody approaches you and says that you will need an immense amount of money but your wife will be saved."

The man laughed sarcastically, "Do you think I will inform you about this matter? No, I will save my wife."

"What the hell are you saying?" Yun Jian was baffled by the man's attitude.

"There is only one rule to save our dear ones, Officer Yun Jian," the man said, "There is no rule."

"Crash..."

"What the hell! I told you to work properly.." The man left Qin Yan and Yun Jian in the living room and started shouting at the attending nurse again.

"Yan Yan.." Yun Jian nudged Qin Yan, "Let's go. I think this man is mad. I will ask some of my juniors to keep an eye on him."

"Okay.." Qin Yan could not figure out anything from this visit.

The duo left the house eventually.

On the other side, Qiao Qing was happy as Shen Yong was visiting her today again. Actually it was not that he was visiting her but that he had some work in the capital and thus he had asked her to accompany him.

Qiao Qing took out her favourite dress from the wardrobe and got ready prettily. She dressed up nicely for Shen Yong and left the campus in her family's car.

Shen Yong had asked her to pick him up from the train station and arrange a transportation for his convenience.

As soon as Qiao Qing reached the train station, she got a call from Shen Yong.

"Qing Qing."

"Brother Yong, where are you? I have already reached the train station."

"Qing Qing, I am sorry but I will be half an hour late. I could not catch the desired train and thus I had to settle for the next one."

"It's okay, Brother Yong..I will wait for you here."

After hanging up the call, Qiao Qing waited for Shen Yong for almost an hour. Dozing off, when she was almost about to fall asleep, she spotted Shen Yong waving at her.

Seeing her love in front of her, Qiao Qing perked up immediately. She opened the car door and ran towards Shen Yong, "Brother Yong!" She stopped a meter away from Shen Yong as the latter did not like public display of affection and had forbidden her from hugging him in public.

Shen Yong smiled prefunctarily at Qiao Qing, "Qing Qing, you are here. Can we leave now? I have a lot to do," Without waiting for Qiao Qing's reply, Shen Yong walked towards the car.

Qiao Qing was disappointed for a minute. She wished that Shen Yong would spend some quality time with her before going for his work. But she made herself understand that he was stressed about work and once his work was done, he would definitely give her some time.

She suppressed her disappointment and smiled back at Shen Yong before returning back to her car.

"Brother Yong, where do you want to go first?" Qiao Qing asked on behalf of her driver.

"Qing Qing, I need to go to XX building. I have a meeting there.." Shen Yong opened his laptop and started to go through the presentation of the meeting.

"Oh..Then how long will your meeting last?" Qiao Qing asked hesitantly.

"Not much..just 15-20 minutes. Then I will spend some time with my darling," Shen Yong smiled at Qiao Qing.

Hearing this, Qiao Qing was overjoyed. She immediately asked the driver to take them to the place stated by Shen Yong.

Arriving at the place, Shen Yong went forward to the meeting while Qiao Qing waited obediently in the car again. She was bored of waiting but when she thought of how she would get some time with her loved one, she cheered up again.

After about an hour, Shen Yong walked out of the building. Qiao Qing unscrewed the bottle cap and handed over water to Shen Yong with a smile, "Brother Yong, you must be tired."

Shen Yong stretched his body before having the water, "Yes, it was hectic."

"Then is your work over now? Where should we go? Shall we go to a park?" Qiao Qing asked excitedly.

Shen Yong sighed, "Qing Qing, I encountered a problem in this meeting and thus I need to go somewhere else to solve it. But after this, we will go wherever you want."

"Okay, don't worry. Your work is more important," Qiao Qing said in understanding.

Once again, Qiao Qing accompanied Shen Yong to another place of his work. But unfortunately, Shen Yong could not free his time for Qiao Qing.

After waiting and accompanying Shen Yong for about 4-5 hours, tears started to appear in Qiao Qing's eyes.

She was losing her hope of spending time with her boyfriend as the latter would have to leave in sometime.

"Hash..." Shen Yong heaved a sigh of relief in the car, "Finally my work is done."

Qiao Qing looked at the time and saw that there was only half an hour left for Shen Yong's train to depart. So if he wanted to catch the train, the couple had to leave for the station immediately.

Qiao Qing was on the verge of tears. She had waited for a whole day without getting even an hour of personal time with Shen Yong. Continuously sitting in the car, her back ached and she was hungry.

Thinking of the way which could allow her to atleast have a meal with her boyfriend, Qiao Qing opened the train booking application.

"Driver, let's leave for the train station," Shen Yong ordered.

"Brother Yong, are you leaving by 6 o' clock train?" Qiao Qing asked.

"Yes, what else! I will reach by 9 pm. I cannot be any more late. I really wanted to spend some time with you but the situation did not allow it. You won't blame me right, Qing Qing?" Shen Yong replied while typing something on his phone.

Qiao Qing's eyes lit up after hearing Shen Yong, "Brother Yong, if you also wish to spend some time with me, we can. Look.." Qiao Qing showed her phone screen to Shen Yong, "There's this train at 7 pm which will also reach at 9 pm. If you go by this, we get an hour to be with each other and you also reach the destination by time. Isn't it great?" Qiao Qing smiled from ear to ear seeing a hope.

On the other hand, Shen Yong frowned, "Qing Qing, I am sorry but I have a few friends who are returning by 6 o' clock train. I want to go with them. If I return by this train, I will get their company. But if I board the 7 pm train, I will have to return alone. I will get pissed for two hours."0

"But Brother Yong, you also wished to hang out with me. Can't you adjust a little bit for my happiness?" Qiao Qing sobbed before her boyfriend.

Unfortunately, Qiao Qing's tears had no effect on Shen Yong, "Qing Qing, how can you be so selfish? Just for some time with me, you want me to get bored for two hours. Can't you think of me for once?"

Qiao Qing's eyes widened at Shen Yong's words. She was being selfish? For his work, she had wasted all her day in the hope that she would get some time with him. But what did she get? Being called selfish?

Tears started rolling down her eyes.
