Faking amnesia

Sobbing in front of Shen Yong, Qiao Qing dropped the latter at the train station.

"Brother Yong, can you please stay? I really want to be with you just for sometime," She pleaded.

"No, I have to leave. My friends will be here anytime. We will meet again next time," Shen Yong rejected Qiao Qing ruthlessly. In fact, when he saw her crying, there was a flash of irritation in Shen Yong's eyes.

"Okay, I shall take my leave then," Qiao Qing bade goodbye to Shen Yong.

His eyes constantly on his cellphone, Shen Yong bade goodbye to Qiao Qing.

Qiao Qing returned to the car and cried her heart out. 'Why did this keep happening to her!' she thought. Everytime she hoped of something, her wishes would come down crashing on her. She didn't know if she was unlucky or she was doing anything wrong.

The next day, after putting on her makeup and changing into a casual dress, Qin Yan drove her car to the building that she previously bought in the auction. The drive there wasn't long and before she knew it, she already arrived in front of the building.

Standing right in front of it was Liu Ran, who quickly waved his hands to her. Qin Yan beeped her horn and slowly got closer.

"You're finally here!" Liu Ran exclaimed.

Qin Yan laughed, "That's why I told you to wait for me inside."

"How can I do that? I need to act as your tour guide today!"

Qin Yan laughed and finally got out of her car. The building finally had a touch of life in it. The insides of the building were also designed quite well, and it perfectly matched the pictures that Liu Ran sent to her by the interior designer.

After almost an hour of touring the whole place, Qin Yan finally stopped at the top floor where the president's office was located.

Qin Yan felt an indescribable feeling of excitement and almost wanted to jump when she saw her office. The whole top floor was hers to use and it was even more grandly designed compared to the floors below.

Liu Ran stepped behind her and asked, "Did you like it?"

"Of course, I like it!" Qin Yan happily exclaimed as she rushed to her desk. Her fingers caressed the smooth surface of her desk table and finally plopped on the cushions of the chair behind it.

"That's good to hear. The designer who designed your office would cry if she finds out that you didn't like it. Thankfully, you did..." He put his hands on the back of her chair and spun it around to face the floor to ceiling glass window. "Look in front of you."

Qin Yan raised an eyebrow in question as she looked in front, "What is it?"

The floor to ceiling windows were transparent. Since it was in the capital, there were many skyscrapers buildings and companies that were sporadically scattered. If they weren't as tall as the building that Qin Yan bought, she wouldn't even see them from where she sat.

The sun was already at its peak and the reflection of light was gaudy and dazzling against the glass walls of these buildings. And just when Qin Yan was almost blinded by the glare of lights, she saw Liu Ran pointing towards the tallest building in the center of the capital.

"You know what that building is?" Liu Ran asked mysteriously with a smile.

Qin Yan shook her head and said, "No."

She hasn't been in the capital for a long time. And when she finally got here a few weeks ago, she also had no time to sightsee and observe the capital. The memories of her previous life also did not include sightseeing as she was wholly focussed on treating patients. And so, she had no idea what Liu Ran was talking about.

Liu Ran let out a tired sigh before he pointed at the tallest building again as if it was an insult and an offending matter not to know that skyscraper building!

Qin Yan glanced at him, completely clueless.

Upon seeing her oblivious expression, Liu Ran finally gave up and dispiritedly said, "How could you not know that the Xi family is the one who owns that building?"

Qin Yan: "..."

After a long silence, Qin Yan blinked her eyes multiple times.

As if enchanted by the tallest building, Liu Ran described the exterior and interior of the building in detail.

Qin Yan didn't expect that her boyfriend's company building was just right in front of her. Fascination overwhelmed her as her eyes were glued to the skyscraper in front of her and wondered what Xi Ting was doing right now.

Seeing her in a daze, Liu Ran waved his hand in front of her eyes, but Qin Yan was quite captivated with what she was looking at.

Finally, he couldn't take it any longer and Liu Ran snapped his fingers, "Hey wake up! Did you hear what I said?"

Qin Yan stared at him with an odd gaze, "What are you talking about?"

Liu Ran sighed, "Nothing."

After touring the whole building, Qin Yan finally decided on the opening day of her entertainment company... actually it was a shifting day.

Qin Mufeng laid on the hospital bed in silence. Countless thoughts running through his mind, he couldn't figure out anything.

In actuality, he had not lost his memory. He just wanted some peace from his family as he wished to sort his thoughts out.

He had always given both his sisters equal attention but his family was biased towards Qin Muran. Even though he knew that Qin Yan was at a disadvantage, his behaviour towards both his siblings was the same.

But how did Qin Muran turn out this way! Even after receiving so much love, she didn't want to share even a little bit of love with Qin Yan.

Moreover, his mother's attitude towards Qin Yan was baffling. He had not seen any mother behaving like this with her child no matter how much she disliked the child.

Qin Mufeng felt that there was a missing piece in this puzzle. He wanted to find out the missing piece and give justice to Qin Yan.

As he was lost in his thoughts, he heard a knock on the door. Pretending to be asleep, he closed his eyes with the intention of ignoring the visitor.

Qin Yan entered the ward and glanced at the sleeping man on the bed. She had come to know about Qin Mufeng's condition.

She walked towards his bed and held his hand to check his pulse. A minute later, she put his hand down, "I don't know why you are pretending to be amnesiac but I shall respect your wishes as I know that you might have a reason in doing this," Saying her piece, Qin Yan walked out of Qin Mufeng's ward.

Inside the ward, Qin Mufeng opened his eyes in shock. 'How did Qin Yan figure this out! How is she so sure that I am pretending!' Qin Mufeng was astonished.

On the other side, Qin Yan sat outside the ward for a while. She calmed herself down and thought of visiting Elder Han, who she had not visited since a long time.

Elder Han's health had improved a lot, and the outside world was paying close attention to his condition. It could be said that the direction of the Han Family was dependent on his existence.

Everyone was observing, but the majority was certain that he would not be able to make it for much longer.

Yet, just as they were getting prepared to attend his funeral, he miraculously got better!!

"Grandfather Han."

Qin Yan immediately walked over and asked, "How are you feeling, Grandfather Han? Are you alright?"
