I want Xi Ting killed at any cost
"What did you say?" Qin Yan stood up from her seat.1
"What?" Yu Zilong looked at Qin Yan in confusion, 'What's up with such a reaction from her?'
"What the hell did you say?" Yun Jian held Yu Zilong by his collar once again, "Who did you say was your first target?"
"Doctor Mo Ran..That renowned doctor.." Yu Zilong repeated with a puzzled expression.
Yun Jian and Qin Yan looked at each other after which Yun Jian asked Yu Zilong, "How? How did you kill her?"
Yu Zilong then reminisced him murdering Mo Ran. Once he figured out his target list, what Yu Zilong understood was that his first target was none other than Mo Ran.
As done with other targets, he started following Mo Ran as much as he could. He was not able to do so everytime as she was extremely alert of her surroundings.
However on one fine day, Yu Zilong finally found a step to execute his plans. He followed Mo Ran as she weaved through the busy city streets, a blur of color against the gray backdrop. He watched her from a distance, trying to discern her destination. Suddenly, she ducked into an alleyway, and he followed her.
She paused, glancing over her shoulder, while Yu Zilong held his breath. Had she noticed? But then she turned and continued on her way, oblivious to the presence of Yu Zilong behind her.
Mo Ran walked down the busy city street, lost in thought. She weaved her way through the crowd, her short hair blowing in the wind. Yu Zilong was hidden in the shadows. He kept a safe distance, careful enough not to be noticed.
As Mo Ran turned down a side street, Yu Zilong picked up his pace, eager to keep up. He knew that he needed to be careful - one wrong move and she would spot him. He ducked behind a parked car as she paused to check her phone, heart racing.
Finally, she reached her destination - a small café tucked away in a quiet corner of the city. Yu Zilong watched from across the street as she disappeared inside. He waited for a few moments, before slipping inside the cafe.
The café was cozy, the sound of soft music filling the air as Mo Ran sat across Xi Ting who was already waiting for her. Yu Zilong thus took a note of Xi Ting's presence in Mo Ran's life.
Mo Ran's smile was infectious, and Xi Ting found himself unable to look away. After their coffee arrived, they talked about everything and nothing, their conversation flowing effortlessly.
As they laughed and chatted, Xi Ting couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment. He had never felt this way before, and he knew that he didn't want the moment to end. Mo Ran seemed to feel the same way, her eyes sparkling with laughter.
After a while, they left the cafe smiling. Yu Zilong noticed all this. As he continued following Mo Ran hoping for a chance to kill her, he noticed that Mo Ran and Xi Ting would meet quite often.
Not finding a chance to directly kill Mo Ran and show it as if it was a natural death, what Yu Zilong did next was to follow Xi Ting in hope that he could get a breakthrough.
When he followed Xi Ting, he realised that the latter's life was pretty simple wandering from just his home to his office. Other than meeting Mo Ran from time to time, there was nothing interesting in his life.
However, when Yu Zilong was following Xi Ting, he realised that some other people too had been following him. He grew puzzled. He couldn't figure out Xi Ting's exact identity but he knew that the latter was not a simple person.
Yu Zilong thus tried to know about the people following Xi Ting. One day, he spotted the group of men who had been stalking Xi Ting loitering on a street corner. Yu Zilong waited for them to leave before going after them secretly.
The sun was setting as the men approached their hideout oblivious to the fact that someone was behind them. Meanwhile, Yu Zilong's heart racing with anticipation. He was also anxious as his one mistake could lead to loss of his life.
As he approached the place, he could hear the sound of muffled voices coming from inside. He scanned the area carefully, checking for any signs of danger before making his move. He finally crept around the back of the building, searching for a way inside.
After a few moments of searching, he found a broken window on the second floor. With some difficulty, he climbed up and slipped inside. The smell of stale cigarette smoke and alcohol hit him immediately, and he tried to remain as quiet as possible as he made his way through the darkened halls.
Yu Zilong soon found himself in a large room, filled with other members of the group lounging on couches and chairs. The room was dimly lit, with only a few candles casting flickering shadows on the walls. He stayed in the shadows, carefully hidden from the rest of the members.
The leader of the gang sat at the head of a long, darkened table, his eyes blazing with anger. The rest of the gang members sat around him, their heads bowed in shame.
"You failed again," he growled, his voice low and menacing, "Even after trying for so many times, you couldn't get the task done."
The gang members shifted uncomfortably in their seats, their eyes darting nervously around the room. They knew that their leader was not one to be trifled with - his punishments were legendary, and they feared what he would do if they continued to disappoint him.
The leader slammed his fist down on the table, making everyone jump. "Do you know what this failure means?" he barked. "It means that we're vulnerable. It means that our enemy will think that we're weak. And do you know what can happen to us?"
No one dared to answer, knowing that the consequences would be dire. The leader stood up, his eyes blazing with fury.
"We cannot afford to fail again," he hissed, "This time plan meticulously. I don't know anything but I want Xi Ting dead at any cost."
"The guys following him- Did you get any information that might be useful?" the leader asked.
The members shook their heads in denial.
"Get out," the leader growled, dismissing them with a wave of his hand. "And don't come back until you've some useful information."
As the gang members filed out of the room, they couldn't help but feel a sense of dread. They knew that their leader's words were not just empty threats - they were a warning of what was to come if they failed again. And they knew that they had to work twice as hard if they wanted to regain his trust.
The leader after scolding his subordinates, stormed back to his room in anger. As he closed the door behind him, the leader felt a strange sense of unease. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but something felt off. As he looked around the room, he saw that everything appeared to be in its proper place, yet he still couldn't shake the feeling that someone had been there in his absence.
The leader's eyes scanned the room for any signs of trouble. Finally when he walked towards the table, he noticed a new photograph sitting on top of the papers. His eyes widened in shock as he recognized the face - it was someone he knew.
It was none other than Xi Ting sitting across Mo Ran in the coffee shop. The leader was stunned. He didn't have a clue about this. Although he was puzzled at who had left the photo on his table, his mind was clouded with the mission to kill Xi Ting.
Thus, he came out of the room and summoned everyone again.
The gang leader stood in front of his members, his arms crossed and his expression stern. He cleared his throat and spoke in a low, commanding voice, "Listen up, we've got a clue," he said, his eyes scanning the room.
He handed the photograph to his right-hand man, "Investigate this. I want every detail of this picture."
The right-hand man of the leader too was stunned seeing the photo. He however didn't ask anything and replied to the leader, "Yes boss. I will let you know everything soon."
Yu Zilong slipped out of the gang's hideout and sighed. He had finally figured out the way to murder Mo Ran.
After a couple of days, the right-hand member sat across from his boss, his hands clasped together on the table in front of him. He took a deep breath and began to relay the results of the investigation done by them.
"Boss, we found out that Xi Ting goes to meet this girl every few days," The man continued, "What is worth knowing is that the girl doesn't seem to know about his identity and thus Xi Ting has only half of his security when he meets the girl."
