She's not worthy of him

Nei Mianmian could only look at Qin Yan and ask, "Qin Yan, are you okay?"

Qin Yan couldn't ignore her. She quickly looked at her and said, "I'm okay." Then, she held Xi Ting and said, "Go take a look at your arm. Which hand did you use to carry me just now? I hope the wound isn't big."

Qin Yan never thought that Xi Ting would carry a gun with him at all times. But then again, it was normal since he was in danger.

Xi Ting said that it was fine and went in with her. Nei Mianmian quickly caught up with them. She looked at the horse on the ground.

Someone sighed, "Oh my, this horse is such a waste. A chestnut-colored Hanoverian horse is specially bred. It must be very expensive."

Someone behind replied, "Which is more expensive: Young Master Xi or the horse? Furthermore, do you think Young Master Xi cares about the horse?"

However, Nei Mianmian only quietly walked away as she looked back at the horse's injuries.

These injuries were caused by her in an instant. But too bad this good horse actually couldn't kill Qin Yan here. It didn't even hurt a hair on her.

In the end, Qin Yan was even carried by Xi Ting so sweetly that it made so many people envious. Nei Mianmian was so mad that her chest started to hurt.

Thankfully, nothing happened to Xi Ting. Nei Yehai brought some people with him and specially came over to look. Seeing the couple's outfits, he smiled from ear to ear and asked, "Since when did Ah Ting wear such a fresh color?"

Xi Ting only turned back to glare at Qin Yan.

Nei Yehai remarked, "Not bad. Ah Ting can listen to someone else's words now."

Qin Yan said, "I begged him to do it. He refused to and I pleaded with him for so long."

The people at the side heard this and thought, Could Young Master Xi's mind be changed by begging him? Everybody knew Xi Ting's character.

After everybody made small talk, Nei Mianmian came over to Qin Yan again and said politely, "Qin Yan looks great in that outfit."

Qin Yan smiled and said, "Thanks for your compliment."

"Is this your first time at the ranch?" Nei Mianmian asked.

Qin Yan replied, "Yeah, it's my first time."

Although it was her first time visiting the ranch, she was not unfamiliar with riding horses. In her previous life, she was trained for almost everything in the army.

"Then let me introduce you to some horses for riding. The horses over there are not bad; they are very gentle and especially easy to ride," Nei Mianmian's eyes flashed as she gazed at Qin Yan. Her lips curled into a smile, completely hiding her coldness.

As Nei Mianmian dragged Qin Yan out, the people behind looked enviously at Qin Yan, "Miss Mianmian is an excellent rider. Nothing can go wrong with Miss Mianmian's recommendation."

This way, it seemed as if Qin Yan wasn't giving face to Nei Mianmian by rejecting her in front of so many people, if she chose to do so.

At this moment, Xi Ting suddenly came from behind and stopped Qin Yan. He pulled Qin Yan to stand behind him as he looked at Nei Mianmian and said, "No need. I'll pick a horse for her."

Nei Mianmian's eyes flashed and she looked at Xi Ting, "What's the matter? Do you not trust me?"

"That's right," Xi Ting said nonchalantly. He turned and pulled Qin Yan away with him, "Anyway she can't ride alone."

Everybody looked in shock at Young Master Xi's tyranny. He didn't give face to Nei Mianmian at all.

But Nei Mianmian was at a complete loss too. She stood behind, unable to utter a single word and she could only watch as Xi Ting took Qin Yan away.

Nei Yehai watched and said to Nei Mianmian, "Well, he's just like that. What can you do about it?"

On the other side, Qin Yan was crying inside. How could she not ride alone! Xi Ting was just worried that she would go wild and he was stopping her from doing that!

The people behind who heard this began to talk among themselves. That was indeed Young Master Xi; he was always so straightforward.

However, this must have been terribly embarrassing for Nei Mianmian.

A few people couldn't help but comfort her, "Miss Mianmian, forget about it. Let's go over there and choose the horses ourselves."

Young Master Xi was really overbearing as he disregarded the Nei family. However, the Nei family seemed unable to take any action on him.

Nei Mianmian was rejected directly. She could only maintain her silence as she watched him walk away.

She really wanted to get angry too, but she knew that it would not solve any problem. It was undeniable that nothing could be done to Xi Ting.

Xi Ting brought Qin Yan to select a horse of her choice. The caretaker was surprised that Young Master Xi would bring his girlfriend over. He quickly led them to the few superior horses he had.

"Mr. Xi, what do you think of this one? A purebred just imported from the British Royal Horse Barn!" the caretaker introduced his favorites to them passionately.

Qin Yan's eyes were glued to the midnight black dark horse. Purebred horses from the United Kingdom were well known for their speed in short to medium length races. One of the horses in the stable was internationally recognized for its speed. The one introduced by the caretaker was the best of the best, nearly at competition level and even better than the one Nei Mianmian had selected.

Xi Ting stayed silent while looking around. The caretaker asked Qin Yan, "Do you like it, Ms. Qin?"

Qin Yan nodded and looked enthusiastically at Xi Ting. It must feel great riding it! She could not wait anymore!

In the end, Xi Ting set his eyes on a brown horse, "Get that horse over here."

"Uh…that one…? Mr. Xi, are you sure?" The caretaker looked uncertainly at the brown horse which was much shorter than others.

The caretaker brought it over. Xi Ting patted its head as the horse gently rubbed his hand. Xi Ting nodded confidently. "We'll take this one."

Qin Yan was dumbfounded, "Moonpie, isn't this a pony?"

Xi Ting glanced at her and shrugged, "Why? What's wrong?"

Qin Yan was on the verge of crying. Of course, there would be a problem! Ponies were exclusively for children!

Somewhere nearby, Nei Mianmian and Yan Jingheng were racing and as they saw Xi Ting leading a little pony, Yan Jingheng accidentally fell off from his horse.

"Hahahaha…Brother Xi! What horse did you pick!? This is too hilarious!"

Yan Jingheng had to stop the competition, holding one hand up as he just lay on the ground, laughing non-stop.

Nei Mianmian stopped and turned around on her tall purebred.

Looking at Yan Jingheng's mocking and Nei Mianmian's tall horse, Qin Yan lowered her gaze to her short pony and felt really bad for herself. She wanted to ride a proper horse! It had been a long time since she did so.

Xi Ting's heart softened when he saw his cookie's upset face and he pinched the area between his eyebrows. He went up to her and held her hand, walking towards Yan Jingheng's cool, dark purebred.

After he helped Qin Yan up, Xi Ting joined her, hugging her from behind. "Happy now?"

Her wish granted, Qin Yan patted the horse's head. She was cheered up a lot and she turned around to kiss Xi Ting.

Nei Mianmian did not look very happy seeing both of them acting this way.

Yan Jingheng was practically blinded by their public display of affection "Darn it, I have never expected Brother Xi would act like this with a girl!"

Nei Mianmian said coldly, "She isn't worthy of Ah Ting!"

Yan Jingheng coughed lightly, "While that might be true, love isn't about being worthy or not…is it?"

"Keep going!" Nei Mianmian whipped the backside of Yan Jingheng's horse.

After a lap, Nei Mianmian won by reaching the finishing line first.

Yan Jingheng looked dejected, "Hey, can't you cut me some slack?"2

A girl welcomed her, looking at Nei Mianmian admirably. "Sis Mianmian, you're amazing! How do you know so many things and how do you do better than most people? Even better than the men! The only extraordinary person I know aside from Young Master Xi is you!"

She then glanced distastefully at Qin Yan who was in Xi Ting's arms. She wrinkled her nose, seeing Qin Yan in Xi Ting's arms, "You should be the perfect partner for Young Master Xi! I wonder if he's blind! I never thought he'd be as shallow as the other men! How could he be tricked by a woman like this?"

Nei Mianmian stayed silent after she heard the girl's words, her expression turning frosty. Obviously she agreed to the girl's words. The people around started whispering, apparently agreeing with her words too.
