Seeing Qin Yan and the old man returning back together, Old Lady Xi was surprised. She looked at the two in curiosity.

Old Master Xi was amused seeing Grandma Xi's curiosity. He didn't say anything and just looked at his wife silently.

"How come you two returned back together?" Grandma Xi could not hold back her curiosity and even before welcoming them in, asked.

"Can we come inside first?" Old Master Xi giggled at Old Lady Xi's curious face.

Hearing the Old Master, Old Lady suddenly realised that she had not welcomed her future granddaughter-in-law inside.

"Oh yes yes, come inside, come inside first," Old Lady Xi welcomed Qin Yan and Old Master Xi inside with a warm smile on her face.

Qin Yan stepped inside the cozy house. She was greeted with the inviting aroma of freshly baked cookies and the sound of soft classical music playing in the background. Old Master Xi also stepped in with her.

Grandma Xi then led Qin Yan to the living room, where Aunt Chen had set up a tea tray and some delicious treats on the coffee table for her. Smelling the aroma of the delicacies, Old Master also followed the two ladies to the living room.

"Yan Yan, please sit," Old Lady Xi said, "I am sorry you had to wait on the door for so long," The old lady didn't want to leave a bad impression on her granddaughter-in-law.

"It's fine grandma, no big deal," Qin Yan smiled feeling embarrassed by the old lady's apology.

The old lady offered the treats to Qin Yan. She then turned to the Old Master who was secretly putting a delicacy in his mouth, "Old man!"

Seeing Old Master Xi almost put a delicacy in his mouth, Old Lady Xi screamed at him in order to stop him. The old master got so startled that the sweet delicacy fell out of his hand onto the plate again.

"Old man, don't you know that you can't eat sweets? Then what were you doing now?" Old Lady Xi scolded Old Master sternly.

Old Master Xi sighed and lowered his head indicating that he has accepted his fault.

The Old Lady then smiled at Qin Yan and said, "Yan Yan, have these. Everything is handmade and healthy, You can eat as much as you want."

Qin Yan smiled and picked up her favourite cookie.

Old Lady Xi then turned to her husband and said, "Now tell me, how did the two of you return together?"

As the Old Lady was asking the question to Old Master, Qin Yan did not say anything.

The Old Master, however, was not in the mood to reply. He said, "I won't tell you. You are not letting me eat the delicacies."

Qin Yan was laughing hard inside. Xi Ting's grandparents' bickering was too funny for her. On the outside, however, she was trying hard to control her laugh.

The Old lady grew furious at what her husband said, "Am I doing this for myself? I am stopping you so that you remain healthy."

"But just one cookie..I am not asking for much. Just one cookie, please," Old Master whined in front of the two ladies.

"Okay, but this is the last time I am agreeing to your tantrums," Old Lady Xi sighed.

Old Master ate the cookie happily while Old Lady glanced in the direction of Qin Yan and instantly felt embarrassed. While bickering with her husband, she had forgotten that her future granddaughter-in-law was also sitting with them.

She laughed sheepishly, "Yan Yan, don't mind us. I am sorry you had to see this."

The Old Master's face also turned red. He had also forgotten the presence of Qin Yan and was speaking to his wife as always.

Qin Yan shook her head smiling, "No worries, Grandma. In fact, I find both of you very cute."
