The original owner thought of Xi Yaohua as being different from men who cheat women of their feelings and enjoy hopping from one woman to the next.  0

Perhaps she really was blind. She hadn't realized only because Xi Yaohua had hid it well. Otherwise, given how long he and Qin Yan liked each other, how could she not have known?

Qin Yan was disgusted by Xi Yaohua. The way she evaded his touch and glared at Xi Yaohua agitated him. 

She could lie beneath another man and derive happiness from him, but she couldn't even bear to be touched by him? Did she hate him that much?

"Yan Yan, I know you're still angry with me," Xi Yaohua looked at her and took a deep breath. He suppressed his anger and tried his best to remain calm, "I know I'm in the wrong. I let you down. No matter what I say and do, I'll never be able to make up for my mistake. But, I really hope you can give me a chance."

He was finally clear of something. He desired Qin Yan and was extremely attracted to her. Every time he saw her, he would imagine her beneath him and relieve himself just by thinking about her. She was the only woman who really moved him.

In his entire life, he'd probably not be able to find another woman he desired this much. Hence, he really didn't want to give up just yet. He wanted to get her back.

"That woman has nothing to do with me. She is just my secretary. We wanted to discuss some work issues over a meal, nothing more. When you saw us just now, she was just about to slip. I only held her out of courtesy."

Xi Yaohua felt a need to explain things, despite how disinterested Qin Yan seemed. However, whatever he said was a white lie. 

Although Song Mei was rather good-looking, she was still a notch below Qin Yan. How could he give up on Qin Yan because of Song Mei?

Qin Yan could barely believe what she'd heard.

She widened her eyes. "What did you say? You want me to give you a chance?"

Was this even something a human would say? How shameless was he? That he could say something like that.

"Yes," Xi Yaohua looked at her deeply, "Yan Yan, I know I'm still in your heart. You're still in mine too. We've gone through so many years together, and I've only ever loved you. I can't forget you or the times we've spent together."

"I believe that I'm not the only one who still misses those days. You do too, right?"

The whole childhood together. She couldn't possibly feel nothing for him. She was so cold to him and appeared as if she detested him only because she was still angry at how he'd hurt her.

"Yan Yan, let's reconcile," Xi Yaohua stepped forward and reached out passionately, about to grab Qin Yan's hand. "Muran and I have already broken up. I'm single now. Give me one more chance and let me make up for my mistakes, alright?"

"I swear, I'll take good care of you for the rest of my life. I'll never do anything to let you down again."

Xi Yaohua knew that the two sisters would not speak to each other. Even if they did, it would be a quarrel. So he lied to Qin Yan without hesitation. 

This time, Qin Yan had heard him clearly.

She was stunned to hear that Qin Muran and he had broken up. But soon after, her expression blanked as he went on.

Her instinct when he reached out was to evade it, and she did so with a disgusted expression.

Xi Yaohua's expression was a little awful now. Qin Yan's was even more so. She was so grossed out that she almost puked. She felt she really underestimated how shameless Xi Yaohua was.

"Xi Yaohua, can you not be so disgusting?" Qin Yan couldn't hold it in any longer, "What has your relationship with Qin Muran got to do with me? I don't even care whether you're single or not. From the moment you rejected and humiliated me, you are practically dead to me."

"You want me to give you a chance. But what chance can I give to someone already dead?"

"I'm telling you clearly right now," Qin Yan said coldly, "Even if all other men in the world died, and I'm left to choose between you and a pig, I'd rather choose the pig. I will never get back together with you."

Xi Yaohua's dignity had been trampled upon. He was embarrassed and annoyed to hear what Qin Yan said.

"Qin Yan, do you even have any self-respect? You'd rather be someone else's mistress and be played around by him than to be my official, rightful girlfriend?"

"What's so good about that man that you're willing to be this loyal to him? Is he good in bed and manages to satisfy you? Is that why you can't leave him?"

"Slap!"

The moment Xi Yaohua was done talking, he felt a tight slap to his face. His head swung to the side.

Qin Yan had made it clear to this scum time and again, but he pushed her limits repeatedly. Just as she thought he was utterly shameless, he would do something even more absurd.

At one point, Qin Yan could barely believe her eyes and ears. She laughed mockingly, "Xi Yaohua, I really need to thank Qin Muran now. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have realized how blind I was before." Qin Yan spoke up for the original owner of her body.

Xi Yaohua slowly turned back towards her. Qin Yan had been merciless with her slap and had left a red handprint on Xi Yaohua's fair face. There was even a trace of blood at the tip of his mouth. His eyes were red and full of hurt and anger.

Qin Yan still looked at him coldly, as if he was a complete stranger, "No matter what I choose, it has nothing to do with you. Who are you to me? Does what I do concern you at all? I really don't wish to see you ever again. You make my stomach turn!"

At that last sentence, Qin Yan turned away and walked off. He could see her determination from the way she strutted away. It was as if they really wouldn't ever see each other again.

Xi Yaohua already regretted what he'd said. But it was too late to take it back. He panicked the moment he saw Qin Yan's back view. His instinct was to chase her. He grabbed her hand.

"Yan Yan, don't go. I'm sorry, I spoke wrongly," Xi Yaohua wouldn't let her leave. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean it. I'm just too jealous of that man, that's why I didn't think before I spoke.

"Yan Yan, forgive me. I really do love you. I can't do without you. Give me another chance, alright. I'll surely be good to you in the future. I'll be loyal and devoted to you for the rest of my life."

"As long as you're willing to forgive me and get back with me… I can promise you anything. Tell me, what do you want? I can give you anything that he can."

He was surely able to afford whatever that man could provide. He could match it. No, he could even better it.

He simply wouldn't believe that she would rather be that man's mistress than be the official and enviable Mrs. Xi.

"Xi Yaohua, let go of me," Qin Yan's expression was stone cold.

Xi Yaohua didn't let go of Qin Yan's hand and instead continued to convince her, "Yan Yan, forgive me. Alright? Give me one more chance and let me make it up to you."

They were getting physical in public. And both of them were good-looking individuals who quickly attracted others' glances. Quite a number of passersby assumed that they were a couple quarreling on the streets.

Xi Yaohua realized that the public was watching them. He wasn't embarrassed by the attention, so he raised his voice and said, "Yan Yan, I was wrong. I will never do anything that would hurt you in the future. I can swear in front of everyone."

"Everyone, please be my witness. Let the heavens strike me if I don't treat my girlfriend well in the future."

The pedestrians thought that they were fighting. They thought that the guy was at fault.

But because of Xi Yaohua's good looks and good attitude, they took his side and helped him, "Miss, you can see that your boyfriend is really sincere in his apology. He really cares about you. Just forgive him."

"That's right. Every couple fights. It's a part of a healthy relationship."

"Young lady, you should forgive your boyfriend. I feel that he's close to tears already."

"I agree. Young lady, you…"

The other pedestrians joined in the commotion.
