Tong Chunian felt heartache.

As President Xi's special personal assistant for years, he always felt like he had a very important and strong presence.

She thought that Xi Ting did not prepare it. So she would have a reason to reject him.

Unexpectedly, he stood up with composure, reached beside the sofa, and fished out a condom.

Qin Yan was speechless.

Xi Ting grinned, bent down, and handed it to her. He said with a low and extremely sexy voice, "Baby, open it for me."

Qin Yan's heart skipped a beat. She stared at the condom in her hands. It was Strawberry-flavored. And the largest size.

They only had lunch two hours later.

They did not eat out.

Tong Chunian helped to deliver the food to them.

When Chairman Xi received the food, Tong Chunian unintentionally saw that he had some red scratch marks on his chest. The marks looked fresh. As if the scratches had just happened. 

Realizing what had happened in the office, Tong Chunian's emotions were indescribable.

Chairman Xi… had changed. He was no longer a workaholic that was innocent and distancing himself from women. He had changed. He was no longer able to withstand temptations.

Xi Ting closed the door and took the food to the lounge. On the single bed in the lounge, Qin Yan was wrapped in a bathrobe on the bed. Feeling exhausted, she slept.

"Baby, let's eat first before you continue sleeping."

Xi Ting sat on the side of the bed and pinched her cheeks lightly.

"Go away, you're annoying," Qin Yan was drained. She closed her eyes and did not want to move as her whole body was aching. She wouldn't be nice to the culprit.

Xi Ting had already eaten and was in a good mood. Although she was scolding him, he gently said, "Cookie, listen to me. Sleeping with an empty stomach isn't good for your body."

"After you're done eating, you can sleep as long as you want. Alright?"

"Annoying," Qin Yan turned to back-face him and used a pillow to cover her head. Her voice was muffled, "No, take the food away. I don't want to eat it. I only want to sleep."

"You have to eat."

Xi Ting pondered for a bit. He then placed the food at the side and went over to carry her, "Yan Yan, be good and don't throw a temper. I ordered your favorite dish. Please eat a little, alright?"

"I don't want to…"

"Not listening to me?" Xi Ting continued to coax her, but he did not succeed and sighed helplessly. He had to try another method. Despite her resistance, he forcefully carried her off the bed.

Qin Yan was exhausted and had no energy left. She simply had no appetite. She just wanted to sleep. But he couldn't even fulfill her small request. How could there be such an annoying man?

She was already fuming when he woke her up. When he dragged her out of bed, her anger peaked. She grabbed Xi Ting's hand and bit him.

"Ow."

Xi Ting furrowed his brows slightly and let out a soft grunt. Looking down, he saw a bite mark with some blood. He did not pay much attention to it and reached for the lunch box. He opened it and tried to feed her.

"Cookie, if you're angry, you can scold or bite me, but you have to eat," Xi Ting said gently, "My heart aches if I see you go hungry. Come, let me feed you."

With that bite, Qin Yan almost exhausted all her energy. She immediately started to regret it. Looking at the bloody bite mark, she wallowed in guilt and despair.

"Sorry," she said softly while biting her lips. Her eyes quivered nervously like a child who had done something wrong, "Is it very painful?"

"No," Xi Ting tried to feed her again, "If you feel sorry and want to apologize, eat."

This time, Qin Yan was obedient. Still feeling guilty, she cooperated and ate.

Xi Ting smiled, while taking another spoonful, and said, "Good girl. Eat more."

Feeling uneasy, Qin Yan reached out and said, "I can eat by myself."

She felt like a sick patient who was unable to move by herself. She was embarrassed and felt a little uncomfortable.

He ignored her and used the spoon to lightly touch her lips, commanding, "Let me feed you."

"Xi Ting, I can do it myself…"

"So you're not tired?" Xi Ting raised his brows as his deep gaze matched her delicate lips.

Qin Yan was speechless.

Finishing her lunch, Qin Yan was very tired and fell asleep quickly. It was 6 pm when she woke up. She rubbed her eyes and yawned. She then walked out of the lounge.

Qin Yan saw that Tong Chunian was also in the office when she came out. He seemed to be saying something to Xi Ting.

Behind the black desk, the man's handsome face was cold and serious.

Tong Chunian saw that Qin Yan was around too and greeted her, "Lady boss."

Qin Yan nodded and then walked towards Xi Ting. He turned to look at her. His expression seemed a little off, and he wasn't looking at her in the same gentle way he usually did. There was an eerie air around him.

Qin Yan stopped in her tracks as she met his cold glance. She couldn't help but feel a little apprehensive.

"What's wrong?"

Qin Yan went to Xi Ting and looked down at his face, "You don't seem too happy?"

Xi Ting didn't say a thing. He simply looked at her seriously for a while.

Qin Yan felt oddly stressed out by his look and furrowed her brows a little uncomfortably. She was so used to his gentleness that this seemed a little odd.

He seemed… strange.

Xi Ting did not respond to her. He simply turned to Tong Chunian and said, "You can leave first."0

"Yes, Chairman Xi."

When Tong Chunian left, he shot Qin Yan a worrying look.

Chairman Xi seemed very angry. He hoped that they wouldn't end up in a heated argument. 

The photos on his phone, however..Any other man would feel the same if they were in his position. Especially since Chairman Xi cared so much about Lady boss. If he was in Chairman Xi's position now, he wouldn't be able to take it. 

Chairman Xi was surely furious this time. Although Chairman Xi seemed rather expressionless when he looked at his phone and did not blow up…

He knew full well after all these years that the quieter Chairman Xi was initially, the bigger the eruption would be thereafter. Xi Yaohua was definitely going down this time.

Tong Chunian closed the door lightly when he left.

As the door closed, Xi Ting gestured for Qin Yan to come nearer. He seemed so scary and unapproachable, and even colder than usual. 

Qin Yan dared not get closer to him. She was stunned in her spot for a few seconds.

And in these few seconds, the man's eyes got even colder. The air around him got stale and thick.

It was so suffocating that Qin Yan almost wanted to flee the office. 

Seeing how she wasn't moving towards him, Xi Ting reached out and pulled her into his arms.

Qin Yan let out a short "Ah!" and then landed with her head against his chest. He then forced her into sitting on his lap.

Before she even looked up at him, he asked, "Where did you go today? What were you doing before you came?"

The man sounded rather calm, but his voice was laced with a hint of danger. 

"Why are you suddenly asking me this?" Qin Yan was confused by the abrupt questioning of Xi Ting.

Xi Ting took out his cellphone and showed it to Qin Yan. Qin Yan was shocked seeing it. 

On the screen were her photos with Xi Yaohua. They showed Xi Yaohua getting physical with her. It looked as though their relationship was beyond friends.

Qin Yan now understood why Xi Ting's behaviour was like this. His expression was really unpleasant. And his attitude towards her was also odd. 

He saw these photos and… got jealous over it?

Qin Yan found this possibility annoying but also amusing. It was only normal to be jealous after seeing such photos and videos without getting the full picture.
