The little guy is back!

The golden rays of the morning sun spilled over the quiet villa, casting a warm glow on the neatly manicured lawns and blooming flowers. The chirping of birds filled the air, creating a symphony of nature's melodies. It was a picturesque morning and a tranquil setting.0

As the clock struck 8 a.m., the ornate iron gates of the Moonlight villa swung open. The gravel crunching beneath the car tires echoed through the entrance. The sleek car came to a graceful halt in front of the villa.

Qin Yan filled with anticipation, stood on the threshold with Xi Ting both waiting on the entrance.

Xi Xiaobao's heart fluttered with a mixture of excitement and nostalgia as he stepped out onto the entrance, clutching his small worn duffel bag.

As Qin Yan caught the sight of the little bun, her eyes welled up with tears and her face lit up with joy. She rushed forward, arms outstretched, ready to embrace the little guy.

As the little bun reached the doorstep, Qin Yan enveloped him in a tight, loving hug, holding him as if she never wanted to let go. The child buried his face in Qin Yan's shoulder, taking in her familiar scent and feeling the warmth of her embrace.

The two of them remained in that moment, their collective sighs of relief serving as a testament to the love that had kept them connected during their time apart.

Xi Ting's lips curved up slightly seeing this scene.

After what felt like an eternity, Qin Yan and the little bun finally loosened their grip, their eyes filled with unspoken emotions.

"Aunty Yan," The little bun greeted Qin Yan, "I missed you so much!"

Qin Yan was surprised to be addressed differently by the little guy. She smiled, "Darling, I missed you too!" With that she kissed his cheeks making the little guy blush furiously as always.

"Alright, let's go inside," Xi Ting reminded them that they were still at the entrance of the villa.

When the two finally realised that they were still at the entrance, Qin Yan hurriedly carried the little bun in.

The little guy wrapped his arms around Qin Yan's neck, nestling his head against her shoulder. Qin Yan held him tightly, savoring the warmth and scent of the little one.

She then placed him on the couch in the living room and Auntie He brought the little guy water to hydrate his little body.

Qin Yan reached for a glass of water and handed it to the little one, "Baby, have some water. You might be tired from such a long journey."

The little bun took the glass of water and sipped slowly. His actions were just like a little adult which did not fail to make Qin Yan amused.

"Are you tired? Do you want to take some rest?" Qin Yan asked while placing the glass returned to her by the little one on the table.

"No, Auntie Yan. I had a good sleep so I am not tired," The little guy said.

"Okay then will you tell me about your trip?" Qin Yan's eyes lit up when the little guy said that he wasn't tired.

"Of course, Auntie Yan," The little guy said, "We went to the beach, and I built sandcastles that were taller than me! The sound of the waves crashing and the feel of the sand between my toes is still fresh in my mind. And I saw seashells, lots and lots of seashells!"

The little guy then remembered something and got up swiftly. Qin Yan was puzzled at what was going on when the little bun opened his bag and took out a pouch from the bag.

He then reached into the small pouch and pulled out a handful of colorful seashells, presenting them to Qin Yan, "Auntie Yan, I brought this for you," the little bun slowly handed over the seashells to Qin Yan nervously. He just hoped that Qin Yan would like his gift.

Qin Yan's eyes sparkled with delight as she marveled at the treasures her little one had brought home.

"Oh, my darling, these seashells are so beautiful! I love them! Thank you for thinking of me and bringing a piece of the beach back with you. They will remind me of the joy you experienced," Qin Yan exclaimed happily.

The little bun's eyes lit up when he saw that Qin Yan liked his gift. His eyes and lips both curved up in happiness.

"What else did you do? Tell me everything," Qin Yan was eager to hear everything that the little guy had experienced.

As the little bun shared his tales of daring escapades and magical encounters, Xi Ting gazed at the heartwarming scene unfolding before him—his girlfriend tending to his son, their bond evident in every gesture and word. He sat opposite to the duo, a soft smile playing on his lips.

In that moment, as the family sat together, the love between them became tangible—an unbreakable thread that connected their hearts. They were reminded that no matter where their adventures took them, they would always find solace and support in the loving embrace of their parents.

And so, with the morning light filling the room, the family basked in the joy of being together once again, savoring every moment as they reveled in the tales of their little explorer.

When the little guy was almost done with his tales for now, Xi Ting's voice reverberated in the living room, "Aunty Yan and I are going out today. If you are not tired, would you like to come with us?"

"Where are you going?" the little guy asked curiously.

"It's Tong Tong's birthday party today. So Uncle Nie has invited us. If you are tired, you can choose to skip it. They will understand as you just returned from the trip," Xi Ting replied.

The little guy hurriedly waved his hands, "No no, I am not tired. I will come with you guys."

"Okay then let's get ready darling! We will have a lot of fun today!" Qin Yan hugged the little guy excitedly.

The duo then went into the little bun's room.

"Baby, go and freshen up. I will pick out some clothes for you," Qin Yan said while reaching over to the little guy's suitcase, carefully unpacking his favorite clothes.

The little guy nodded before entering the washroom.

After a while, Qin Yan handed over a pair of shirt and jeans to the little guy. When the little one came out of the dressing room, Qin Yan's eyes lit up.

"Oh my! Darling you look so handsome!" Qin Yan exclaimed while pulling the little guy towards her, "Let's get you ready now!"

She then lovingly brushed the little guy's hair, carefully taming the unruly strands. As she ran her fingers through his hair, memories of his absence flooded her thoughts.

"Baby, I really missed you!"

The little guy could feel Qin Yan's emotions as he replied, "Aunty Yan, I missed you too!"

He then wrapped his arms around Qin Yan's neck, nestling his head against her shoulder. Qin Yan held him tightly, savoring the warmth and scent of the little one.

After a heartfelt embrace, Qin Yan got the little guy ready. He stood before his bedroom mirror, dressed in his finest attire. His hair was neatly combed, and his face beamed with anticipation.

He straightened his collar, adjusting his tie with great determination. He was wearing a vibrant shirt that Qin Yan had chosen for the occasion.

After Qin Yan got ready, the family of three stepped out together. Xi Ting as always was dressed in a tailored suit. Qin Yan was dressed in an elegant gown which flowed effortlessly around her. The whole family was too good-looking for anyone to take their eyes off them.

In the hotel.

Nie Mianmian was inside the big hall arranged for the birthday party. When she came to know that Xi Ting would also come, she dressed up elegantly.

Many people knew that she was the only female around Xi Ting, so they were naturally interested in conversing with her.

"You're so lucky to have grown up together with Young Master Xi. We definitely won't have such a chance anymore. We can only use our association with you to meet him," Someone said to Nei Mianmian.

Nie Mianmian said calmly, "It's no big deal. I will try to introduce you guys to Ah Ting. However, don't get too excited or too close to him. He is a person who doesn't really like noise."

The people around feel envious. At the same time, they wondered if there was something going on between Young Master Xi and Nie Mianmian.

While the relationships among these wealthy people were mostly very messy, Xi Ting always had a good reputation.

However, in any case, Nie Mianmian was nation's top socialite. There were plenty of men who wanted to try something with her just because of her title. Xi Ting had the same right to do so. Thus, for their relationship to be a little messy… it was completely understandable.
