2"Yan Yan, who is this man? What is your relationship with him?" Xi Yaohua asked Qin Yan.

Even though Xi Yaohua was in-charge of Global World Entertainment which was a branch of the Xi Corporation, he had never seen Xi Ting. As Xi Ting had always kept a low profile, Xi Yaohua could not recognize him. 

Although Xi Yaohua knew that he was Qin Yan's boyfriend, he was not able to accept this fact. He felt that a girl who used to follow him around calling him Brother Yao, would not get into relationship with anyone so easily. He could not believe that a girl who was always at his beck and call did not have feelings for him anymore.

He simply could not believe that given the love she had for him, she could put their relationship behind her so quickly. This man that she got together with must have been to spite him. Or that she wanted to use this man as a means to forget him.

Didn't they all say that the easiest way to forget a person was to be in another relationship? The more she did this, the more she proved that she still loved him and could not forget him.

With that thought, Xi Yaohua felt better about himself.

On the other hand, Xi Ting looked at him with despise, as if he was just an ant, "You don't need to know who I am, but you do need to be clear about one thing. Qin Yan is my woman, and any man who bothers her is courting death. I don't care what your relationship with her was in the past. But now she is mine."

Xi Yaohua felt a sense of fear hearing Xi Ting's words. However, he didn't want to appear weak in front of Qin Yan and lose face. Hence, even though he was afraid, he still forced himself to say, "I've known Yan Yan for more than 10 years. Even though she is angry with me, we're still friends. I was just talking to my friend, how did it become entanglement?"

As soon as he said that, Qin Yan couldn't help but retort, "Xi Yaohua, I've said it before. I'm not your friend, don't try to get close to me."

Xi Yaohua didn't expect her to rebut him in public. His expression changed, and he quickly said, "Yan Yan, no matter what you think, I've always treated you as a friend. I don't believe that you can really let go of our childhood friendship just like that. I know you're still angry with me and unwilling to forgive me. That's why you did something to agitate me. Yan Yan, you can choose not to forgive me or ignore me, but you can't get angry at me by ruining yourself."

Xi Yaohua didn't believe that Qin Yan really fell in love with someone else. Even if the man in front of him was really eligible. 

But his relationship with Qin Yan was still different. He won because of all those childhood years. This was something this man could never compare to.

And he knew Qin Yan too. She valued relationships. So many years of feelings would never be gone just like that. She might still be angry about his rejection, so she quickly found another man to take revenge on him.

If this was her revenge, then she had succeeded. He was so jealous. He should be the one being so intimate with her. He had her, but because of his jerk, he lost her. He regretted it now and wanted to redeem himself…Would he… still have a chance?

Qin Yan was at a loss for words. She didn't know where Xi Yaohua got his confidence from. He still thought that she liked him. If Xi Ting was inferior to him in every aspect, she could understand why he was so confident.

But the truth was that he was inferior to Xi Ting in every aspect. What made him think that she was with Xi Ting to spite him? Moreover, she was actually not the original Qin Yan who had feelings for him. From the time she was transmigrated, Qin Yan had always viewed Xi Yaohua as a jerk. 

"Xi Yaohua, are you delusional?" Qin Yan laughed out of anger.

Xi Yaohua was stunned, "Yan Yan, you…"

"Firstly, I've already said that we're strangers now. Please don't address me so intimately. Secondly, I don't know who gave you the confidence to think that I'm angry with you because I'm dating someone other than you. May I ask Mr. Xi, how is my boyfriend inferior to you? He's more handsome, gentler, more loving, and more doting than you in all aspects. Where did you get the confidence that I don't really like him?"

When she said this, Xi Ting looked down at her and his eyes flickered. His arm around her waist tightened. This was the first time that Qin Yan was praising him so openly.

Qin Yan looked up at him and smiled sweetly, "He's a thousand times better than you. You actually think that I'm with him to spite you. What a joke. Mr. Xi, haven't you heard of this saying before?"

Ignoring Xi Yaohua's awful expression, Qin Yan's smile deepened, "People go for the high and the low. My boyfriend is better than you in every aspect. I'm with him because he has so many things that attract me. He's so outstanding and he's so good to me. It's not like I have a problem with my brain. If I were not to be with him, would I be with someone like you who rejected me because of my looks?"

"Ha, many years of feelings? I'll just treat those years of feelings as feeding a dog. To me, these aren't important at all.

"I only know one thing: cherish the person in front of you."

With that, Qin Yan held Xi Ting's arm and said softly, "Let's go, I don't want to see him again."

Xi Ting was silent for a few seconds before nodding, "Alright."

Seeing that they were about to leave, Xi Yaohua took a step forward and tried to stop her, "Yan Yan, I know my mistake. I really know my mistake. Please give me a chance, alright? As long as you're willing to forgive me, I'm willing to do anything."

There was only one thought in Xi Yaohua's mind. To get Qin Yan back. He didn't want her to leave just like that. 

But just as he took a step, Xi Ting turned around and looked at him coldly. His eyes were cold and warning. Xi Yaohua was shocked and didn't dare to go any further.

He looked at Qin Yan and pleaded, "Yan Yan, I swear, I won't do anything to let you down again. Please. Can you give me a chance?"

Qin Yan frowned and said coldly, "I've already made it very clear to you. Please don't pester me anymore. Xi Yaohua, you have to be less shameless in life. You already made your choice back then, don't regret it."

"But, I regret it…" Xi Yaohua looked at her blankly and then said sadly, "I regret it, Yan Yan. I know I was wrong. Can you give me a chance? I will never let you down in this life."

"Impossible," Qin Yan said firmly.

"Yan Yan…" Xi Yaohua refused to give up. He looked at Qin Yan's cold but beautiful face and felt even more reluctant to part with her. Then, he impulsively went forward to grab her hand.

Before he could even touch Qin Yan, he was punched in the face. This punch knocked him to the ground. He fell to the ground and cried out in pain.

Xi Ting still felt that this wasn't enough to appease his anger. He bent down, picked him up from the ground, and punched him on the other side of his face.

Xi Yaohua's face and one of his eyes were swollen. His nose was bleeding and his eyes were bloodshot.

Xi Ting's eyes were as cold as ice. Just as he was about to punch him again, Qin Yan stopped him.

"Xi Ting, don't…"

She shook her head at him, "Let's go."

Qin Yan didn't want Xi Ting to dirty his hands. 

The man's cold eyes warmed up. After a few seconds of silence, he nodded, "Alright."

Qin Yan heaved a sigh of relief. She let go of his arm and held his hand instead, "Let's go, then."

Xi Yaohua lay motionless on the ground as if he had fainted. But the moment Qin Yan held Xi Ting's hand and turned to leave, his body suddenly moved and his lips opened. He said weakly, "Yan Yan, don't go…"

Xi Ting's suppressed temper flared up again. He grabbed Qin Yan's hand and turned around with a cold smile, "Xi Yaohua, if you want to die, I can fulfill your wish right now."

"Ah Ting, let's go," Qin Yan was afraid that he would get angry again.

Xi Yaohua's eyes were unfocused. He glanced at Xi Ting and then at Qin Yan, "I-I'll always be waiting for you. Yan Yan, I… I won't give up just like that."

"Up to you." Qin Yan quickly dragged Xi Ting away.
