In the softly lit room, a sense of anticipation hung in the air as Qin Yan bustled about, carefully selecting items to pack for the upcoming business trip. As Qin Yan finally zipped the suitcase closed, a sense of accomplishment washed over her. She turned to Xi Ting, a mixture of excitement and contentment dancing in her eyes. They exchanged a meaningful glance, a silent affirmation of their partnership and the journey they were about to embark upon together.

The morning sun bathed the cityscape in a warm and golden glow as Qin Yan and Xi Ting hurried through the bustling streets. The streets hummed with activity, a vibrant backdrop to their shared excitement and the journey that lay ahead. 

Qin Yan, dressed in a comfortable yet stylish outfit, clutched her passport and essentials, her eyes shining with a blend of energy and anticipation. Her casual attire seemed to reflect her readiness for the trip. 

As they reached the airport terminal, the scent of possibility mingled with the chatter of travelers. The departure screens flickered with destinations, each one a potential canvas for new experiences.

At the check-in counter, their interactions were seamless, a testament to their seamless partnership. Their tickets were swiftly processed, and as they moved through security, a glance between them spoke volumes – a silent agreement to make the most of this trip. 

M Nation was nearby. It was a small country at the periphery of C Nation.

The country was not large and there were quite a few descendants of C Nation there, so there were also many people who spoke the language of C Nation.

Qin Yan and Xi Ting got off the plane together. Xi Ting knew that he was bringing Qin Yan along, so he especially decorated the place. It was very comfortable and suitable for Qin Yan to rest in.

Xi Ting went to the company in the afternoon with Qin Yan. He let Qin Yan rest in the company office while he went for a meeting next door.

Han Cheng, fifty-six years old, childless. He had built Bai Corporation from scratch. Today, it was already one of the top hundred companies in the world. Han Cheng was the third richest person in M Nation. He seemed quite capable. He was the person with whom Xi Ting wished to strike a deal with.

Whenever he wanted to have a deal with any company, Xi Ting would make sure that he knew everything about the person. This was to ensure that their party would not offend the opposite party in any way.

Meanwhile, inside the office.

Qin Yan felt very bored sitting in Xi Ting's chair, so she started eating food.

She placed her feet on the small table beside Xi Ting's desk and put a heap of cookies next to her. While she read some medical details on the internet, she ate cookies.

After a while, this comfortable position made someone look at her with condescension. Someone knocked on the office door, so she called to let them in. When the secretary walked in and saw the scene in front of her, she was almost in shock.

Qin Yan just made President Xi's desk into her dining table. Qin Yan was used to it as it was comfortable to eat cookies while people were around her. No one would say anything at home, and would just pack up the food after her.

But the executive secretary in front of her was in shock. It was also Qin Yan's first time to M Nation's headquarters.  The set-up here was more modern than in C Nation. The city itself was a contemporary city of concrete, but C Nation had a more cultural aura. Hence the people here felt like they were very efficient, unlike the people in C Nation who emphasized formalities.

Therefore, the people in C Nation were there for power, while the people in M Nation were here for the money.

Meanwhile, the woman at the front only looked at Qin Yan in surprise. Her long hair was tied up. She looked very clever and hardworking.

Qin Yan's curious gaze landed onto the secretary, "I'm waiting for Xi Ting."

The secretary looked quietly at Xi Ting from behind. Although she had worked with him for so long, there were too few chances to get close to him. Speaking so close to him just now already made her blush and heart flutter. 

However, she did things for him willingly. She worked diligently. Many people wanted to poach her with high salaries, but she refused. Being stationed in M Nation was like a very long wait, but she stayed put. Now, she felt as if she was pushed aside and she did not say anything more. She watched as Xi Ting focused on his meeting.

A staff member came in to give Qin Yan some water. This person was much friendlier and asked Qin Yan, "Madam, would you like to drink anything?"

"No thanks. I ate too much and I'm bursting," she said. "I don't want to trouble you either. Carry on with your work."

"Not at all! President Xi already instructed us to take good care of you."

Qin Yan laughed and looked at the staff. She asked, "The one who came in just now with her hair tied up. Is she the secretary here?"

"Secretary Lin?"

"Lin Yue. She is the administrative secretary. She's one of the old-timers in the company."
