The look of surprise on Old Master Xi's face had not yet faded. When the pill went into his mouth just now, he realized that he had forgotten to drink water! It was such a big pill, if it was not taken with water, wouldn't he be choking?

On the other hand, after eating the medicine which Qin Yan gave him, he didn't know if it was a psychological effect, but he felt much better. His itchy throat also felt much better, and his body felt very comfortable. Also, he especially liked the herbal fragrance; the more he smelled it, the more comfortable he felt. 

Nie Mianmian, however, noticed Old Master Xi flushed face and thought that something was wrong with him. She gloated inside thinking that if something happened to the old master because of Qin Yan's medicine, she would probably be skinned alive.

She thus pretended to be worried, "Grandfather Xi, are you okay? Why is your face so red?"

Hearing this, the faces of the people at this scene changed. 

"What did you give father to eat?" Father Xi immediately stood up.

"Right! How come his face is getting flushed after taking your medicine? What were you plotting?" Mother Xi followed up immediately.

Nie Mianmian looked angry, as if she really cared about Old Master Xi, "Qin Yan, what kind of medicine is this? How can you casually give something like this to Grandfather Xi? Do you have a manufacturing license? Can you be responsible if someone took it and had problems?"

"Yes! If someone gets sick after eating it, it will be a problem!" Mother Xi's voice was sharp.

"Mom, dad," Xi Ting stood out, "Since this medicine is given by Yan Yan, nothing will be wrong with grandfather."

"Ah Ting," Mother Xi looked pained, "That's your own grandfather! How dare you trust this random girl instead of caring about him!"

"Of course, I know that's my own grandfather," Xi Ting shrugged, not anxious at all, "After a while, you will see the effect."

He had confidence in Qin Yan.

Meanwhile, people started whispering in the crowd.

The old madam nudged the old master, "Old man, are you okay?" 

At this time, Old Master Xi came back to his senses.

Seeing the surrounding people and his son scold his granddaughter-in-law, Old Master said coldly to Father Xi, "If you dare scold my granddaughter-in-law, don't expect me to give you any face later!"

"But father..." Madam Xi wanted to say something but the old madam glared coldly at her, so she reluctantly shut up her mouth.

"Old man, are you okay?" Old madam asked her husband gently.

"Yes, yes, I am absolutely okay. I have never felt so comfortable."

Father Xi still did not believe Old Master's words. So, he called the old master's doctor over. 

Doctor Wu had also been invited to the party but he was busy with some other patients, so he had informed that he would be late for the party. 

Thus, Father Xi asked him to come over immediately.

Everyone waited for the doctor to come over. 

Not long after, Dr. Wu came over. When he rushed over to the party, he thought that something had happened to Old Master Xi. 

Father Xi's sharp eyes spotted Dr. Wu, and he hurriedly got up to let him examine his father's body. 

Dr. Wu was also a little stupefied when he looked at the rosy-faced Old Master Xi. Even though the old man's health was better than his peers, he still looked haggard before. However, why did it seem so rosy today?

Dr. Wu immediately examined Old Master Xi, and was even more astonished. If Old Master Xi's body had been deteriorating because of his old injuries, his health was now actually taking a turn for the better.

Although it wasn't a full recovery, the best news was that he was getting better! His pulse was more stable than before indicating that the old injuries in his body were recovering.

What kind of miracle medicine did this Old Master Xi take? 

Tamping down his curiosity, Dr. Wu took a deep breath and said to the worried Xi family, "There's no major issue with Old Master Xi's health. He's getting better! Even his old injuries are getting healed. If this continues, there would be no problem for the old man to live till 100 years!"

As soon as Dr. Wu finished speaking, the Xi family and the other guests fell into a stupefied silence.

Old Master Xi was now certain that he was in good shape. When he heard it for sure from Dr. Wu, Old Master Xi, who had always been as steady as a mountain, was very excited.

Father Xi, in particular, was so excited that his lips trembled. He hurriedly had Dr. Wu examine his father again to confirm it. 

On the side, Old Madam Xi and Mother Xi's jaws almost dropped to the floor when they heard Dr. Wu's words.

What kind of pill did Qin Yan give to the old man? He took one an hour ago, and his condition improved instantly!

Father Xi was still worried, and asked Dr. Wu one more time. When he got an affirmative reply, he took a deep breath. He was so excited that his whole body trembled. 

After a pause, Dr. Wu stared intently at Father Xi and suddenly asked curiously, "President Xi, can I ask a personal question? What kind of miracle medicine did you buy for the old master?"

Father Xi was stupefied and only stared blankly at Qin Yan.

At that moment, Old Master Xi smiled and answered in a roundabout way, "It's all thanks to my good granddaughter-in-law. Old Wu, you have met her before."

"Is it Miss Qin?" Dr. Wu's eyes shone like stars.

"Yes!" Old Master Xi looked at Qin Yan.

When Dr. Wu glanced at Qin Yan, Qin Yan smiled back at him.

"Miss Qin," Dr. Wu smiled at Qin Yan, "Did you make this pill yourself?"

"Yes," Qin Yan nodded. "I made it myself."

Dr. Wu asked curiously, "This pill is amazing! By the way, what did you put in it?"

"Just some herbs and some special techniques, and then the final product came out like this," Qin Yan explained casually.

Before Dr. Wu could ask anything else, he was interrupted by the old master, "Old Wu, stop bothering my granddaughter-in-law."

Dr. Wu was a little unreconciled that he didn't get the answer he wanted. However, he also knew the fact that everyone had their own methods and formulae which they did not wish to share with others.  2

Meanwhile, Nie Mianmian's eyes were going green with jealousy. She didn't expect that Qin Yan's pill would really improve the old master's health. She had put in so much effort to obtain the purple jade screen but now Qin Yan's gift had attracted all the attention that was supposed to be hers.
