Back inside the room, Kana was entranced by the picture on the wall. What she was seeing at this time was not the picture itself but a grand battle. Millions of cultivators were facing off against millions of other cultivators. But the opposite side seemed to have a dark aura about them.2

Kana was nothing more than a bystander watching from the sidelines. The images seemed to be directly implanted in her head and only focused on the woman. She had a sword in her hand, and blood dripped from its blade. Her robes, her hair, and any exposed skin was covered in blood. She ignored the pain and continued fighting. Attack after attack of different abilities played out in front of Kana as the blood soaked woman cut down her enemies.

Kana was drawn to these techniques and tried her best to remember each movement. She felt a connection to these sword techniques and felt they would definitely be of use later on if she was able to replicate them. The battle raged on, and it seemed to be never ending. At one point, the blood soaked woman was surrounded by enemies on all sides. But even being surrounded, not once did this woman show any fear. Instead, she sneered and raised her sword. "Heavens Wave!" She let out a mighty roar that shook the heavens. All the experts that were surrounding her suddenly had fear in their eyes. They turned to escape, but it was already too late. A massive wave of spiritual qi swept the area with the blood soaked woman at its center. Those experts turned into mists of blood, not even their souls were able to escape. 

But it seemed that attack had really taken a lot out of the woman. Her robes were cut, and even a part of her upper chest had been revealed. Kana was stunned when he looked at the woman's chest. On the woman's chest were black stars. She also had a black star forming on her chest. But she did not know what or where it came from. 

As Kana was dazed, staring at the black stars, a light laugh came from in front of her causing Kana to snap out of it. But as she looked in front of her, she almost jumped in fright! The woman she had been watching was now standing in front of her. "You… You can see me!?"

"Mmm… I mean, the picture you are looking at was created by my divine will, after all. I have waited for so long for you to arrive." The woman said carefreely. She was still covered in blood, but this did not hide her beauty and charm. 

"What do you mean?" Kana was confused by what the blood soaked women meant. 

"Because of this." Before Kana would even react, the blood soaked woman pulled open Kana's robes revealing her chest, which had a faint black star on it. "This star proves that you do not belong to this world and that the heavens have marked you. In order to grow stronger, you will have to fight many battles and walk a path filled with blood. Sadly my time ended as I reached the peak of this plane. There was never a time when I was able to enjoy life when I first came to this world. All I know is that the heavenly laws here will not allow our existence. I am sure you have already undergone a heavenly tribulation even though you are only in the body fortification realm."

" I did not too long ago," Kana answered truthfully. 

"As you are hated by the heavenly laws, you will undergo lightning tribulation whenever you reach the peak of this world's realms. If you are able to survive, you will then have three more levels in the same realm to force your way through, and breaking through is not easy at first as the heavens will fight back against you. But do not worry. You will breakthrough eventually. As you grow in power, the shorter the time between breakthroughs will get as your body will grow stronger, and the amount of spiritual qi you can take in will grow by leaps and bounds.

" I can only say once the opportunity shows itself, you will truly grow much stronger. I can tell you are very close to reaching the eleventh stage of body fortification. Your body is already stronger than most in your cultivation realm. On top of that, you have a rank two beast core. It seems you are more blessed than I was." The blood soaked woman had a solemn expression on her face. She truly had it hard. "There are many things I should tell you, but if I do, it will hinder your path more than anything. The trials and tribulations you will endure in the future are something you will truly need to go through on your own. The painting in front of you is my gift to you. It has a trace of my will and many techniques I learned."

The blood soaked woman paused before looking at Kana softly. She reached up and patted Kana on the head. "Your path is your own. But if you wish to survive, then you must grow stronger and more powerful than anyone else. The battle you witnessed was a battle between the righteous cultivators and the devil cultivators. Yet as you saw just now, I was attacked by those who were on the same side as me. Did you know I was from a world where all I knew how to do was farm? I had gone out to the forest to get some mushrooms to go with the harvest my father had just brought in when I fell into a hidden cave. I found a stone in the cave with many strange carvings, and when I touched it, I woke up here. I, a girl who knew nothing of fighting and killing, was forced down a path of blood shed in order to stay alive but in the end… "

Kana could feel the sadness in the blood covered woman's voice. "May I know your name?"
