Kana nodded and felt much better, knowing both Elder Ning and Elder Shaun were on the same page. She reached out and placed her hand on the crystal. It began to light up bright and brighter, with swirls of white and black forming inside. The crowd of disciples all stared at the crystal in confusion as they had never seen such a sight before. This was a given as her Ying yang root was rarer than a heavens root and something that only appeared rarely.  0

"What kind of spirit root is that?"

"I have no idea, but her spirit power keeps rising and rising as well."

"Is it because she is not human?"

"It must be."

Elder Ning was all smiles seeing Kana's results. They were much better than he had expected. She had just reached qi gathering, and her spirit power was already as high as a stage five qi condensation cultivator. "Her rank two beast core is helping out a lot in this test." Kana could not be considered a divine beast in her current state as she only had a rank two beast core. This made her a demonic beast of a divine beast bloodline, allowing her to take human form. Or this was the only way that Elder Ning could explain it.

  But one thing he knew was Kana would end up being very powerful as she grew. No one in her realm would be her match. He felt that he made the right decision back then to help her grow. The girl was kind to those who were kind to her and ruthless to those who harmed her or those around her. She was a true cultivator.

"To think I would actually get to see a ying yang root. Little one, I really have to thank you." Elder Shaun patted Kana's head. She had only read about such spirit roots. She never thought a day would come when she finally got to see one. She looked over at Elder Ning, who was smiling away and wanted to punch him! 'He could have told me!'' But still, it was a nice surprise.

"You pas…" Elder Shaun was about to tell Kana she passed the first test when an annoying voice came from the sky.

"Hold it!" This voice was none other than Elder Ye's

Elder Ning frowned and wondered who let him out of his cage. "Elder Ye, this is not your place to interfere. We are in the middle of testing new disciples."

"That is all well and good Elder Ning, but this demon girl is an exception. She killed my law enforcement hall's disciples earlier in the year, and you know it!" Elder Ye yelled out. He would not let this damn demon girl join his sect! 

"That is not for you to say Elder Ye, or do I need to get the sect master here to tell you these words? I have full authority over who gets in. As long as she passes the tests, she will be our Moon Crest Academy's disciple, and there is not a thing you can do about it. Are you trying to go against the laws laid down since ancient times? Are you above the sect master?" Elder Ning was not backing down this time. He already discussed this with the sect master, and he already said to make sure Kana was tested. If she passed, she got to join. If not, she would not join.

"You!" Elder Ye's face contorted. He turned and looked at Kana with eyes killing intent. A wave of spiritual pressure shot forward and landed on her, causing Kana's knee's to almost give out. Sweat began to build upon her forehead as she gritted her teeth, trying to bear it. 

"Elder Ye!" Elder Ning appeared next to Kana and placed his hand on her shoulder, dispelling the spiritual pressure. "You dare to attack a junior!? I will be reporting this to the sect master! Let's see how you talk your way out of this one!"

"No need to explain…." A voice came from the top of the mountain p[eak where the sect master stayed. "Elder Ye, you attacked a junior and will be punished to the back mountain and enter seclusion for three months."

Elder Ye was gritting his teeth. He couldn't kill the demon girl, and his anger got the better of him. This demon girl had made him lose face so many times now. He could not let this little demon girl off. He sneered and decided to make some plans. If he recalled correctly, the incident from before was done by that person. "Humph! Just you wait!"

No longer wanting to stay, Elder Ye flew off. Elder Ning let out a sigh seeing how Elder Ye retreated so quickly. "Thank you, sect master!"

Kana also bowed her head and said: "Yes, thank you, sect master!" Kana breathed a sigh of relief. She would at least have three months of not needing to worry about the idiot old man. She hopped Ako would be healed by then. Ako was still trying to purge out the strange energy from her body.

"Mmm… Do your best to pass the tests." The sect master's voice trailed off as he said this. 

Elder Shuan was wondering what had actually happened between Elder Ye and Kana. All she knew was such a talent could not be kicked out of the entrance tests because of that old fool. She leaned over and whispered to Kana: "If you get into the sect, come see me if you have any troubles. I am in charge of the outer sect. With that said, you have passed the first test. Take your token."

"I will thank you." Kana received the token and smiled. She was happy that other than the old idiot, the rest of the people she had met so far, for elders, were very nice.

As Kana got off the stage, another person came floating down from the sky and landed next to her. "Ahhh! Little girl, you're here!"

"Elder Fang! It's good to see you again!" Kana saw the old man who taught her alchemy and smiled. She then remembered something and took out a porcelain bottle. "Elder Fang, please take a look at this."

"Hmm? What do you have for me?" Elder Fang was curious and took the bottle. He popped the seal, and a stream of spiritual qi entered his nose. His eyes went wide as he stared at the bottle then stared at Kana. "This!? This! How did you do it!?"
