Shang could definitely see someone like King Sanctified Death going to such extremes to comprehend two Concepts.

After all, Shang would consider doing the same.

Shang actually felt bad about destroying an entire world.

Shang was willing to do everything for power, but for some reason, he felt uncomfortable with ending all life in an entire world.

Just the thought of turning Aterium into a place of eternal silence and stillness was one that Shang wasn't the biggest fan of.

Lastly, Shang didn't need the level six Concept of Death.

After all, the Entropy Affinity seemed to be an even stronger and more extreme form of death.

Death represented the end of living, but Entropy represented the end of existence, which included matter, movement, energy, space, time, and so on.

A theoretical level seven Concept of Death could very well just be Entropy.

So, why focus on the level six Concept of Death when Shang could just focus on something better instead?

If Shang were in King Sanctified Death's place, he might consider doing something similar, but it wouldn't be a sure thing.

"So, you think he wants to kill and destroy the entire world?" Shang asked.

The Lightning Emperor nodded. "As I said, I'm not entirely sure, but it seems to make sense."

"And the other Emperors are fine with that?" Shang asked.

"Shang, for the Mage Emperors, the truth of the world and existence itself is infallible. Life exists because the world wants it to exist. If the world didn't want that, it wouldn't exist."

"So, even if that kid threatens all of creation, they are certain that he won't succeed. Maybe this is just a trial from the world for its inhabitants."

Shang believed that the other Emperors believed this, but he didn't believe it himself, obviously.

After all, the true will of the world was just the insane God.

Although, the entire Abomination thing still kind of contradicted that.

Did the God control the Abominations or not?

The Lightning Emperor and Shang talked a bit more about general things before the Lightning Emperor used a very powerful Spell to hide Shang's intense Aura.

After all, at this moment, Shang's Aura was as intense as King Sanctified Death's, and if people felt his real Aura, they would most likely guess that Shang was the very person that the Lightning Manor wanted to foster.

The Lightning Emperor also told Shang that he only needed a couple more years before the war would enter its next phase.

For the moment, Shang should just help the frontlines. In recent years, the frontlines had been under a lot of pressure since the Land and Sky Empire also managed to crack the contract.

Isis Neweston saw this as a challenge and answered in kind.

They didn't even really talk before or during the war.

They just came to an agreement that a bit of war would help their Mages grow stronger.

Right now, there were only two Empires left in the world that weren't at war with anyone.

The Darkcold Fortress in the northeast and the Deepsteel Pearl in the southwest.

Both of the Empresses of these Empires had similar personalities, but they didn't like each other for some reason, which was also why they were at two opposite ends of Aterium.

They were both quite taciturn and weren't the biggest fans of interacting with others, which was why they mostly kept to themselves.

They probably also wouldn't be joining the war.

Right now, the territory at the southeast of the Lightning Manor was only under very little pressure.

The Judgment Palace had received heavy losses regarding Ancestral Mages, and they also needed to defend themselves from the Tower of Climate with a lot of Ancestral Mages.

Because of that, the Judgment Palace mostly ignored the southeastern part of the Lightning Manor and attacked the Archmage Zone west of the southeastern Ancestral Mage Zone.

The Land and Sky Empire had given them a one-territory-thick line of territories at their north, which stretched for nearly a million kilometers.

Naturally, such a thin line could easily be destroyed. One Mage of the Lightning Manor just needed to cut it off, and the remaining territories would be helpless.

However, the controller over these Zones was still the Land and Sky Empire, and they had transformed these Zones into Zones for Mage Lords.

And if there was one thing the Judgment Palace didn't lack, it was powerful Mage Lords.

Over 2,000 Mage Lords were permanently stationed in the ten territories comprising the line while an army of Archmages flew through it, right towards the Lightning Manor.

By now, the entire northern front of the Land and Sky Empire had transformed into Zones for Mage Lords.

Mage Lords were the most important force from now on, and the message that the Land and Sky Empire sent the Lightning Manor was clear.
