Cheng Yazhu was about to leave after speaking with Cheng Jiayi when his phone rang. 

He hesitated to answer the phone because of the unfamiliar number, but he eventually accepted it.

"I heard Cheng Guanyu is about to sign a contract with Spiritechnologies, Young Master Cheng?" 

Cheng Yazhu furrowed his brows. 

His Older Brother was ready to sign a contract with Spiritechnologies, a multinational corporation in the next two weeks. 

This joint venture was a significant step forward for their family's company as they are about to expand internationally.

However, this matter was only known to a few people.

"Who is this?"

The man answered on the other end, "Luo Zhelan."

Hearing the name that was stated, Cheng Yazhu froze in his spot.

Luo Zhelan?

The President of Luo Corporation?

Who hasn't heard of Luo Zhelan?

The Luo Corporation is involved in two major industries, healthcare, and technology. 

They have dominated the healthcare industry for almost a century and have expanded globally. However, they were previously lagging behind other top tech companies in the Technology Industry. 

But during the last seven years, he has led the Luo Corporation to gradually dominate the tech sector, and now the Luo Corporation has expanded globally both in the medical and technological industries.

If the other person had said anything other than 'Luo Zhelan,' he would have thought it was one of those prank calls.

For Luo Zhelan whose time is worth millions, the man couldn't call him without any reason.

"President Luo, what do you mean by this?" Cheng Yazhu asked, unsure about what he meant.

"Young Master Cheng is aware that I can stop your family company's joint venture with Spiritechnologies, correct?" On the other end, Luo Zhelan said with a cruel smirk, he then continued, "Actually, I could do a lot more than that." 

The Cheng family may wield considerable authority in the Capital, but Luo Zhelan can tear them down them if he so desires.

If it was his way of doing things, he would already have crushed their meager company beneath his feet.

He was only doing it this way because this is what Jiang Yue wanted.

With the man's frightening words, Cheng Yazhu felt a shudder go down his spine, "President Luo— what— what do you mean by this, have we ever provoked you?"

His hands were shaking so much that he could hardly hold his phone. 

He had never even talked to the man and had only seen him during their corporation's succession.

"Ah, it wasn't me who you provoked," Luo Zhelan then added when he thought about it, "Which is much worse."

He'll go to great lengths just to make them regret what they have done.

"—then what do you want?"

For Luo Zhelan to call him and warn him, he probably wants something from them, right?

"I want your cousin to pay for what she did. I'll have someone to escort her to New Hope Hospital or you can forget about living in the Capital."

The call ended.

Cheng Jiayi seeing his cousin's reaction couldn't help but ask out of concern, "Cousin, who was it?"

"You..." Cheng Yazhu slapped the girl, causing her head to turn to the other side from the force.

She was going to scream about why he hit her when he said something that surprised her.

"Out of all the people you could have offended, you chose President Luo!"

She hasn't even seen that man in person and only heard some news and talks about him, so how could she possibly offend him?

Seeing her dumbfounded expression, Cheng Yazhu exclaimed, "That fuckin' girl you pushed knew Luo Zhelan!"

Cheng Jiayi's heart dropped. 

Jiang Xiu is acquainted with the President of Luo Corporation? 

Was this the reason Jiang Xiu is in Golden Imperial?

But how is that possible?

Cheng Yazhu calmed himself, "President Luo will send a person to escort you to New Hope Hospital."

Cheng Jiayi finally realized how bad the situation was.

She stood up and held her cousin's arms, "Cousin, I didn't mean it! I didn't know she was acquainted with him, if I had known, I would never have dared to cross paths with her!"

Cheng Yazhu removed her hands and coldly stated, "You brought this upon yourself. Do you want the whole Cheng Family to be ruined just because of this small matter?"

Her face became pale.

The Cheng family being ruined means she'll be ruined as well.

President Luo is unlikely to take any action against her, right? Maybe all she'd have to do is apologize to Jiang Xiu. 

With this thought in mind, she eventually agreed.

Not long after, three huge men arrived and escorted her to New Hope Hospital.

When she entered the room, she thought she was about to see Jiang Xiu laying in bed, but she instead saw Jiang Yue leisurely sitting on a sofa.

Her brows furrowed, however, seeing the man sitting next to her made her freeze in her place.

She had seen pictures of the President of Luo Corporation and the man sitting next to Jiang Yue was exactly that man.

She hasn't recovered from her shock yet when Jiang Yue suddenly stood up and walked towards her.

"What— what are you gonna do?" Cheng Jiayi uttered in a trembling voice.

"Cheng Jiayi, when are you going to stop provoking me?" Jiang Yue asked with a twisted grin on her lips.

"I did—"

"What did you do for Xiao Xiu to bleed that badly?"

Jiang Yue's eyes flashed with killing intent as she pushed the girl.

"Ughh!" Cheng Jiayi groaned as her whole body slammed into the wall behind her.0

The pain she felt from that one push filled her eyes with fear of what was about to happen.

"Did you push her like that?" Jiang Yue questioned as she came closer to the girl once again and grabbed her hair.

"Jiang Yue get your hands off me, you bitch— ugh!"

She slammed Cheng Jiayi's head onto the wall without any hesitation, causing the girl to scream in agony.

With just that one slam, Cheng Jiayi felt her surrounding get blurry.

But, just when she believed it was coming to an end, Jiang Yue took her to the small table on the side of the empty hospital bed. 

Jiang Yue smacked the girl's back of her head into the corner of the table with tremendous force.

This time, Cheng Jiayi could feel something flowing from the back of her head.

Touching her hair, and seeing the crimson color of the blood that smudge her hand made her furious, "AHH! YOU BITCH, I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!"

Cheng Jiayi was about to leap and strangle Jiang Yue when she kicked her aside, causing her to slip and fall to the floor. 

Jiang Yue glared coldly at the girl laying on the white-tiled floor as blood began to pool beneath her head. 

"Cheng Jiayi, this is what you did to Jiang Xiu," she stooped down and whispered, "What was it like lying in your pool of blood as you fought to stay awake?"

Cheng Jiayi hearing her words panted as black spots started to cloud her vision.

Not long after, Cheng Jiayi lost consciousness.

The bloodlust that Jiang Yue felt didn't lessen one bit.

She stood up, and said to the three men who escorted the girl, "Let her bleed to her death for ten minutes. After that, have someone check if her skull is fractured. If it isn't... then make it so."

She will make her feel what she had put Jiang Xiu through, no more and no less.
