Her Identity remains a mystery

Jiang Yue after receiving the drug medicine from Wei Ruolan, went to the laboratory of the hospital to test it out with Luo Zhelan being her little tail.0

"You shouldn't get close to that Wei Ruolan," Luo Zhelan said, earning him a taunting smile from the girl.

"You address her as if the two of you haven't worked together for years," she couldn't stop herself from saying.

"We don't work together that much," Luo Zhelan responded, gently laughing, "her research focuses on the brain, while I mostly do research medicine improvisation."

He couldn't recall anything about the girl because he had always immersed himself in work either at Luo Corporation or Research Organization.

He doubt he had even said more than ten sentences to her after all these years, but he do remember that Wei Ruolan had tried to talk to him about this medicine drug.

"I can see that woman despises you," he stated which made Jiang Yue laugh a little, dumbfounding him with how beautiful and mesmerizing her smile when she is genuinely happy.

He only mostly sees her with a twisted smirk or mocking grin, and sometimes she would have an indifferent expression and barely reacts to anything.

"I thought I was the only one who noticed that."

"I doubt it. If anyone else was in the room, they could also see the malice in her eyes."

Jiang Yue raised her brow at him, "And who do you think is to blame for that?"

Luo Zhelan could only grin with her question.

She had only met Wei Ruolan today yet she could already tell the girl has feelings for him.

"How is it?" He asked and motioned towards the results.

"There's no problem, father could use it."

The two of them went back to Jiang Guo's room this time after testing out the drug medicine.

Luo Zhelan after receiving a call from his grandmother, could only bid goodbye to Jiang Yue and promised to take her back to a hotel she could stay in that is close to the hospital.

She was just about to go to Jiang Xiu's room when she thought of something.

She took a piece of hair from her father and checked to ensure the hair follicles were still intact before going to her sister's room and taking a bit of hair from the girl.

She then went to DNA Diagnostics near New Hope Hospital for a DNA paternity and sibling test.

With the advanced technology, Jiang Yue was able to receive the test results in just three hours.

With the envelope in her hands, she sat on the corridor seat and opened it.

She skimmed the first few lines before settling on the most crucial part of the paper. 

Reading the words 'The possibility of Mr. Jiang Guo being Jiang Yue's biological father is 0.00%' made her heart sink.

Jiang Yue's mind raced as she tried to process this information.

She refused to believe it and opened the other envelope, which contained the DNA test results with Jiang Xiu.

The hope she had that there was something wrong with the test result was shattered when the same words appeared on the paper again. 

'The possibility of Ms. Jiang Xiu being Jiang Yue's biological sister is 0.00%.'

Her entire world came crashing down around her, and everything she'd ever known was thrown into question. 

She is not her father's biological daughter, and she is not her sister's sibling. 

She always believed she was a Jiang and that she and Jiang Xiu were fraternal twins.

As she thought more of the situation, she started feeling different emotions.

She felt lost and alone as if she were in a dark and empty place. 

She couldn't ask for help, and she couldn't do anything about it. 

She had no choice but to accept it. 

Despite this, she does not feel betrayed, nor does she harbor any ill will against Jiang Guo.

She doesn't blame her father for withholding the truth from her because she knew Jiang Guo loved her like his own daughter.

He never treated Jiang Xiu better than he treated her despite not being his biological daughter, instead, it was the other way around, Jiang Xiu at that time had to stop going to school for her sake.

She stood up and decided to leave, but her knees felt weak, so she could only sit back again.

She clenched her fist as she felt her hands trembling. 

Her phone rang, and just as she was going to dismiss the call, she noticed the caller's name, and her hand reflexively moved to take the call.

"Where are you? You're not in the hospital?" Luo Zhelan asked on the other end.

Jiang Yue cleared her throat and tried to say in her normal indifferent tone, "I'm in DNA Diagnostics."

"Stay there, I'll pick you up." She was just about to refuse when the call had already ended.

Just like Luo Zhelan had stated, he arrived at the Diagnostics shortly after.

Seeing her aura, he knew something must have happened.

He didn't say a word and simply sat beside her.

Jiang Yue remained silent as she tried to calm down. 

It was such a huge revelation that she, who had always been apathetic toward everything, felt as if her heart was being pulled down by something. 

It wasn't hurting her, but it was suffocating her.

The way she sees and treats Jiang Guo and Jiang Xiu won't change, they are still her father and sister to her, however, this truth still manages to turn her world upside down.

She couldn't even question anyone about it because she was certain that only her father was aware of the situation. 

So, who is she? 

What about her family?

And, if she is adopted, why does her father have to claim she and Jiang Xiu are twins? 

Jiang Yue never imagined the day would come when she would wonder who she was. 

Her true identity is a complete mystery.
