Do I look like a saint?

"All your answers are correct," Zhu Lin announced, still in shock after checking the papers.0

She placed the papers on the table, and Xia Mingzhou snatched them without hesitation.

She went over each of the papers, and the more she examined Jiang Yue's answers, the tighter her grip on the papers became.

Even the math problems she wasn't sure she could answer in a few minutes were brilliantly explained on the side.

"How about the essay?" Xia Mingzhou questioned as she searched for Jiang Yue's papers for her essay.

When she finished reading the two papers, she could only dejectedly place the materials back on the table.

Her essays were also on point, with a strong thesis statement and well-explained topic sentences.

Not to mention that her handwriting was identical to the notes.

There's no denying Jiang Yue was the one who wrote the lecture notes.

As a result of this knowledge, Xia Mingzhou lowered her head, her eyes filled with anger and resentment.

She couldn't accept the fact that Jiang Yue, who she believed was beneath her and a good-for-nothing, was truly this smart, and it appears that she may even be smarter than her.

Jiang Yue who had been watching the girl was amused as she saw Xia Mingzhou's expression shift from uncertainty to shock to contempt.

Despite Xia Mingzhou's best efforts to conceal her disdain for her, she had witnessed every emotion that passed through the girl's eyes.

"Have I cleared my name?" she stood up, a smirk slowly forming on her lips.

Zhu Lin nodded and paused before saying, "Let the other students use your notes, it will be very helpful to them."

"Do I look like a saint Teacher Zhu?" Jiang Yue tilted her head as she coldly stated, "They accused me of plagiarism just based on the fact that I'm an underachiever and I still have to let them use the notes I made?" She scoffed, "Aren't I too kind?"

Zhu Lin's face darkened and she retorted, "Student Jiang, this is for the greater good of everyone. Besides, you can't blame the students for thinking that way."

Jiang Yue couldn't believe what she just heard.

The students were quick to point their fingers without any proof even before Xia Mingzhou posted the picture of her assignment paper, yet their actions were justified merely because it was her who made the notes?

"Let Xia Mingzhou write her own notes and distribute them to everyone, she's the one who cares about the greater good, not me."

She's no saint for continuing to let those students use her work after what had happened.

"Don't be petty—" Xia Mingzhou hasn't finished her words when Jiang Yue cut her off, "—I'll be petty if I want to."

In fact, Jiang Yue doesn't care what the other students say about her.

Let them run their mouths and say whatever they want about her, however, accusing her of plagiarism is entirely different.

And now they're claiming that she still has to share those notes because it's for the greater good of everyone?

Bullshit.

If they see her as someone petty, then so be it.

"Stop being so arrogant, those are just some notes; don't act as if they are important papers," Xia Mingzhou said, which irritated Meng Deming, who had been quiet all this time.

"Whether it's important or not, it's hers. If she doesn't want to share it, that's her problem. Let's not force her any longer," Meng Deming said.

"Let her be, it's hers after all," remarked the other teacher, "and I understand Student Jiang's sentiments."

She believes that if the students weren't so quick to pass judgment, the girl wouldn't mind if her notes were used by other classes.

"Then what do you want to do?" Xia Mingzhou questioned, "A lot of students had downloaded the picture of the notes and some had already made another copy of it. Do you think it would be that easy?"

"That's my problem, you don't need to concern yourself with my matters," hacking into the forum and deleting every picture circulating in the school isn't hard for Jiang Yue, she then remembered, "I have already cleared my name, aren't you forgetting something?" she asked with a raised brow.

She could tell Xia Mingzhou was confused by what she meant, so she said, "Xia Mingzhou, go and post the truth on the forum."

Xia Mingzhou's expression hardened.

"Go on," Jiang Yue said, motioning to her skirt's pocket, "get your phone and post it. I won't let you leave until you post a clarification."

Teacher Zhu, noticing the intense atmosphere between the two, advised her student, "Clarify the issue on the forum, there's nothing to be ashamed about it."

Zhu Lin believes it is not something to be ashamed of because her student only posted the picture of the assignment paper with the intention to help.

However, for Xia Mingzhou who believes that she's superior to others, apologizing was something to be ashamed of, especially since the whole school will see it.

Xia Mingzhou gritted her teeth and grabbed her phone.

The anonymous account was still logged on the forum, and she wrote a clarification about the notes, claiming that Jiang Yue was the true owner and that she had wrongfully accused her.

"Don't forget to introduce yourself; I can't be the only one who becomes famous for this," Jiang Yue insisted, and the other girl could only comply by revealing her identity.

But Xia Mingzhou still tried to write the post in a way that she was just afraid the students were being lied to and claimed that her intention was good.

The post had tens of responses within minutes and quickly became a popular topic in the forum.

"Go back to your rooms now, this matter is settled," Zhu Lin stated and the two girls went out of the office.

After leaving the office, Xia Mingzhou blocked Jiang Yue's path, making her halt in her place.

"What are you trying to accomplish by concealing your capabilities, Jiang Yue?"

"Xia Mingzhou, don't think everyone is as shrewd as you," Jiang Yue said, tilting her head.

She never considered pretending to be foolish to achieve something.

"Don't expect the Xia family to accept you back—"

"—I never thought of that, so stop wasting my time already," Jiang Yue pushed the girl aside, "Not only are you annoying to look at, but my ears are about to bleed from your nonsense."

Jiang Yue walked away without waiting for the other girl's response.
