Going back to Country F
She wanted to come with the girl just in case something would happen to her then she could help, but she knew that if Jiang Yue didn't ask for her help then she doesn't need or want it.
Sunshine could only bid her goodbye.
"Well, have you told Luo Zhelan that you're leaving?" Sunshine asked to change the topic.
Jiang Yue purse her lips and nodded, "I told him I'm just going to visit someone."
"Good, I don't want him bothering me asking about you. I'll be busy pursuing my man." Sunshine remarked to lighten up the atmosphere which was effective as the girl merely rolled her eyes at her.
"I'll be going now, take care." Jiang Yue bid farewell and slung the black bag on her shoulder.
She turned around and went to her designated plane.
***
Country F, Shangshu City.
The plane landed around 10 o'clock in the morning and the first thing Jiang Yue did was go to a hotel for a place to stay.
She took a taxi and she couldn't help but look around when she found that some alleys were blocked off, probably from the pickets that happened.
"Are you a tourist?" The taxi driver suddenly asked, getting Jiang Yue's attention.
Jiang Yue fixed her cap then turned to the taxi driver and nodded.
"You visited at the wrong time. There are a lot of rallies and riots right now, which caused some of the roads to be blocked off. It would be best if you stay at your hotel for the first few days first as it's not safe right now."
Jiang Yue hummed an assent and she asked, "What caused the civil unrest this time?"
"What else? It's still the same reason," The middle-aged man scoffed, "It's because numerous children had started to disappear these past few months. This matter had been settled years ago because a syndicate that was trafficking children had already been caught. Now who knew this would happen again? Now thieves and human traffickers are using the civil unrest to their advantage. It's really messed up."
Jiang Yue couldn't help but pursed her lips when she heard the man's words.
It seems that this matter isn't as simple as it seems.
However, Jiang Yue wasn't there for the missing children's matter, she was there to find out more about Feng De.
Jiang Yue arrived at her hotel and booked a room for a week.
Around 8 o'clock in the evening, she went out dressed meticulously.
Her hair which was short before had now become long and wavy once again as it lay on her shoulder. She was wearing a body-hugging dress that accentuated every curve, hugging her figure in all the right places, leaving little to the imagination. Her makeup was expertly applied, enhancing her natural beauty, highlighting her best features, giving her a mature and seductive look.
She doesn't look like a girl who just turned eighteen and just took her National College Entrance Examination, instead she looked like she was in her 20s and was successful in her career due to the aura that she exuded— confident and exposing.
Jiang Yue took a taxi to the well-known club of Shangshu City.
She had planned everything about what she was supposed to do to uncover more about Feng De based on the information given by Ma Jie.
They asked Ma Jie about Feng De's family due to the man's condition that what he's going through might be hereditary to get more information about her without raising her doubts.
And Ma Jie answered them that Feng De doesn't have any family, which Jiang Yue had already know and Ma Jie started to talk about how she and Feng De had gotten to know each other.
Ma Jie was Feng De's friend, a very close one, to the point that the man considered him as his family. They got to know each other because Feng De had approached her more than seven years ago to ask her about a certain person— Tang Shuren— the Young Master of the Tang Family of Country F.
Ma Jie had worked as a maid in the Tang Family's mansion for years and when she had saved enough money, she moved to the western border of Country Z and stayed there. A year after she had retired, Feng De reached out to her and asked about Tang Shuren and the Tang Family.
He asked her what kind of people they are and if they are exactly what the public portrays them to be— sympathizing and soft-hearted.
Ma Jie honestly answered his question at that time— The Tang Family may seem like they are a loving and understanding family but they are far from that. Ma Jie was Tang Shuren's personal maid and if it weren't for the huge amount of salary, she wouldn't be able to last long even for a month as that man's maid.
So when she was able to save enough, she retired without any second thought.
With this information from her, Jiang Yue got another clue about what Feng De might be up to at that time, which may lead to the answer to why Luo Zhelan was desperate to treat him.
And so during the previous days, she had tried to learn everything about Tang Shuren and hacked into his social media accounts to know the man's schedule. And the man had planned to go to a club at around 9 o'clock in the evening along with his group of friends.
Jiang Yue had already gotten a good grasp of what kind of person Tang Shuren was— a lustful and egotistic kind of man.
Someone who would be easily baited with beauty and words.
Although she had never done this before, she is confident she'd be able to hook the man without any doubt.
Jiang Yue arrived at the club with just enough time for her to find a good spot so she could observe Tang Shuran once he arrives.
She could feel numerous pairs of eyes gazing at her yet she shrugged it off. She leaned on the couch and swirled the glass of wine in her hand as her eyes shifted from one person to another.
However, her body couldn't help but stiffen when she saw someone she hadn't seen for years.
What was she doing here?
