Xu Wuying roamed her eyes around the place and she couldn't help but remark, "I don't know why my target still hasn't arrived. He's supposed to be here around 9 p.m."

Jiang Yue turned on her phone to check the time and it was 20 minutes before 9 o'clock in the evening, "What are you being so anxious about? You have all night to kill him."

"I know but I want to get it done right away, so we could have the night to ourselves and enjoy some men," Xu Wuying remarked and drank a glass of wine.

Jiang Yue hearing those words, uttered, "I can't do that."

The woman asked, "What can't you? You're at the right age already, so I don't see how's that a problem."

"I already have a boyfriend."

Xu Wuying who just gulped, couldn't help but choked on her saliva with the girl's remark, "What did you just say? A fucking boyfriend? Aren't you too young for that?"

Jiang Yue pursed her lips and then replied, "I'm already eighteen."

"Oh-- right, I forgot about that. It's because in my mind you're still that little girl-- but why? I thought you hated men?" Xu Wuying stated with raised brows.

"When did I even say that?"

"You haven't, you just acted like one."

"That's because most of the men in Alpha Assault are bastards."

"That's a good point but who's the unlucky man?" Xu Wuying asked to which Jiang Yue rolled her eyes. 

"It's Luo Zhelan. You might not know him but he's from the Capital of Country Z." She answered, and Xu Wuying who had a teasing expression on her face was dumbfounded, so she couldn't help but question, "What's with your reaction?" 

"Luo Zhelan? Damn. Don't you know a lot of assassins are after that man?" Xu Wuying cursed under her breath then continued, "Don't tell me you became his girlfriend just for the thrill of being assassinated?" 

Jiang Yue didn't expect those words from her friend. 

She knows that Luo Zhelan, as the president of the largest corporation of Country Z, was impossible that there would be no people to get the man killed, but she didn't think it would be that many to solicit that kind of reaction from Xu Wuying. 

Then Luo Zhelan being the target of many assassins must be connected to why his information is confidential and encrypted. 

Jiang Yue shook her head in answer to the woman's question, "No, why would I even do that? Do I look like I have nothing to do?" 

"Then you really like that guy?" Xu Wuying asked with a grimace on her face and Jiang Yue nodded with a solemn expression. 

Xu Wuying didn't wanna believe the girl's words cause just as this girl turned eighteen she was already taken, and it was only now that they had seen each other again yet they can't even enjoy a night.

In the corner of Jiang Yue's eyes, she couldn't help but notice when there was a small commotion that happened around the entrance of the nightclub. She turned around and saw the man along with his friends being accompanied by women, she remarked, "He's here." 

"Who's here?" Xu Wuying turned to where she was looking and seeing the group of people, she said, "How did you know he was my target?" 

"Huh? I didn't. I was talking about Tang Shuren," Jiang Yue explained as she thought that Xu Wuying was referring to another person, "He's the one who got the information I need." 

Xu Wuying placed the glass of wine on the table with force, making a clanging sound, "Tang Shuren is the person you need?" 

Jiang Yue nodded. 

"Well, what a coincidence, he's my target too," Xu Wuying remarked with a twisted smirk on her expression, astounding Jiang Yue. 

"You're here for Tang Shuren?" she asked and the woman nodded and then stated, "Who would have thought Tang Shuren would be the reason for us to meet again? Now I'm having second thoughts if I should kill him." 

"You can kill him once I've gotten the information I need." 

"Then shall I say 'may the best woman win' now that the two of us are going to seduce him?" Xu Wuying said with anticipation on her face. 

"No, there's no need to. It's actually a good thing he's your target then I don't have to do it myself. Good luck," Jiang Yue smiled, then patted the woman on her bare shoulder. 

Xu Wuying's smirk immediately faded, "You're too boring." 

Jiang Yue just shrugged then motioned towards the group of people who settled at a big table just two tables away from them, "Go on, I'll cheer you from here." 

"Fine, watch and learn. Who knows, you might use this trick again in the future." 

Jiang Yue rolled her eyes and then shooed the woman away. 

She leaned on the couch and crossed her arms on her chest as she looked at Xu Wuying who had just approached the group. 

Tang Shuren was a man around 27 years old. He had been married at the age of 25 but then got divorced, Now the man is single again and had been club-hopping with different men and women.

He looks handsome and is actually very appealing, but he has that demeanor of a man who thought that the world revolves around them which was piercing to Jiang Yue's eyes. 

Xu Wuying sat on the semi-circle couch two persons away from Tang Shuren. However, despite that, she would still try to get Tang Shuren's attention in a subtle way which had been effective. 

Jiang Yue seeing the two interact couldn't help but roll her eyes. She grabbed her phone and distracted herself for almost 2 hours, with men coming up to her asking if they could buy her a drink from time to time. 

The loud sound of the music in the nightclub was ringing in her ears, causing her to furrow her brows. 

"Excuse me." 

Jiang Yue looked up only to see a man with a drink in his hands. 

This was the sixth person that approached her table.

Then she remembered that it was one of the men on Tang Shuren's table— probably his friend. 

Her laid-back demeanor immediately changes to one that was cold, dumfounding the man as it was too fast and too much of a change. 

Jiang Yue merely raised her brow, and the man couldn't help but be anxious under her stare so he immediately said, "I couldn't help but notice that you were alone all this time."

She nodded and the man seeing her reaction, smiled at the thought that she doesn't seem so unapproachable even though she looks like one. However, Jiang Yue's words made the man's smile stiffen. 

"And that will stay that way. I would like to be alone, so," Jiang Yue uttered and gestured for the man to leave. 

Seeing that with her words the man still wasn't dissuaded from talking to her, she added as she grabbed the glass of wine Xu Wuying had drunk from before, "I don't mind expressing it in actions if you don't understand that I want to be alone." 

The man looked at her up and down and then sneered, "Then what's the point of going to a club looking like that?" 

Jiang Yue answered emotionlessly, "That's none of your business. Now, leave." 

However, the man didn't heed her words and even sat at her table, "I know women like you who refuse men just accept another person's advances due to that person's background and looks. So tell me, who among these men here, are you here for? Then I'll prove to you that I'm so much better than them."

Jiang Yue sneered, "I know men like you who can't accept no for an answer too." 

She turned to look at the dance floor where Xu Wuying and Tang Shuran were just dancing as though they can't be separated a while ago, only to find them gone. 

She opened her phone and tracked Tang Shuran and found out that the two had already left the nightclub. 

She stood up and immediately left her table, astounding the man who just started his ted talk. 

Jiang Yue went to a hotel that was not far away from the nightclub, as that was where the tracker shows Tang Shuran was. 

It is only then that Jiang Yue remembered that she hadn't gotten Xu Wuying's phone number and she was afraid that the woman might be too engrossed in what she was doing and would kill Tang Shuren. 

She still needs to know some information from him.

Jiang Yue hacked into the surveillance camera of the hotel using the program in her phone that she had made and she immediately got access to the footage.  0

Jiang Yue looked through it and then found the two entering the hotel 10 minutes ago. She followed the two through the different surveillance cameras and found their room right away. 

She then went to the room where the two had gone.

10 minutes is enough for Xu Wuying to deal with Tang Shuran so she didn't hesitate to open the door. 

"And here I was wondering how I should contact you," Xu Wuying uttered when she saw the girl come in, "Look, I almost killed him right away, good thing I remembered that you still need him." 

"Who are you, people? What— what are you going to do to me?" Tang Shuren exclaimed, with blood dripping on the corner of his mouth while his feet and hands were tied with a cloth. 

Jiang Yue raised her brow and asked the woman, "Don't tell me that's a bedsheet?" 

Xu Wuying understood what she meant and said, "What? I didn't bring any rope with me so I had to make do with whatever is here." 

"What do you want with me? I'll give you anything just please don't kill me," Tang Shuran asked with gritted teeth as his eyes shifted between Xu Wuying and Jiang Yue. 

Xu Wuying turned towards the man and grinned like a maniac, "Oh, I don't need anything from you, it's my buddy here who needs something from you."
