Drop your guns
Jiang Yue's eyes narrowed as she waited for another person to enter the bedroom. However, the footsteps that were getting louder as that person was about to enter the bedroom, stopped.
She knew they must have felt something wrong for the man to stop, and it might be that they realized they are not the only person in the room.
If they still wait for these men to enter the bedroom and take them by surprise, there's a chance that these people would realize their presence and everything would be for naught.
And they can't let that happen, as that was their only advantage over them.
Juang Yue finally made up her mind.
She pressed her finger on the trigger, kicked the door open, and shoot the man who was just standing a step away from the door.
The man was hit on his left chest and Jiang Yue immediately grabbed him by his neck and placed the muzzle of the gun on the man's head.
Stopping the 5 men who had their guns pulled out and aimed at Jiang Yue already.
"Drop your guns down and I'll let him live," Jiang Yue uttered in a low and menacing voice as her eyes shifted from one person to another, trying to identify what kind of team they are. If they were bounty hunters, assassins, or police officers that were undercover, some had to identify signs on them, such as the Fallen Vengeance assassins who had a tattoo of a spider in a form of a butterfly on their wrists.
However, seeing the several men, Jiang Yue had no idea what kind of team they were.
"Just shoot me," the man she was holding and pointing the gun at, uttered with gritted teeth.
Xu Wuying slowly took her time to walk to the two as she watch the stand-off between Jiang Yue and the men.
She patted the man's body and grabbed the gun that she had found in his waist holster.
"Ay, this looks pretty cool." She stated with a wicked grin on her face as she played around with the gun.
Jiang Yue who could now see, studied the gun in her hand as well and her guess was right.
It was an improvised version of the Staccato XC, which was a full-size pistol.
Having shot with it once, she could already determine what changes were made to it. The Staccato XC already delivers incredibly flat and fast shooting, yet this improvised one is much faster.
The name 'Staccato XC' was removed from the gun as well as its logo, and instead, a logo of a skull had replaced it on its grip panel.
Finally understanding what kind of gun was in her hand, Jiang Yue's anxious heart settled down.
She could kill ten people with a Staccato XC in a minute and with this improvised one, the five people who had their guns pointed at her posts no threat to her.
It was a foregone conclusion that these 6 people in the living room will die tonight.
Jiang Yue returned her attention to the men in front of her.
Her eyes narrowed and she uttered, "I wouldn't do that if I were you," she warned as she noticed one of them move their hands and try to reach their watch.
She could already guess that these men must have some advanced technologies on their watches as all of them were wearing the same thing.
She knew she has to settle this immediately or else the other men who had left might come back in a second.
"Just shoot her, she will still kill me in the end!" The man that she had hostages, stated.
"We will let you leave the room, just let him go." One of them said, with their guns still aimed at her.
"Who are you, people?" Another person asked.
Xu Wuying who had her gun pointed at the five men, answered, "Us?" She then removed a patch on her wrist that was the same color as her skin, blending with it flawlessly.
A tattoo of a rose with a snake appeared on her wrist, and the word 'Scarlet' was below it in red ink, appearing striking and clear to see.
She transferred the gun on her other hand had no tattoo and showed her wrist to the five people, "Does this answer your question?"
The five men had their eyes trained on Xu Wuying's wrist and their eyes couldn't help but widen when they realized who the woman in front of them was.
Jiang Yue didn't waste any second and with the five men still speechless at the tattoo that Xu Wuying had shown them, she moved her hand and pulled the trigger five times, and each time it only took a second as she aimed on every man's center of their forehead.
The lives of the people in the living room were gone just like that— well, except for the remaining one that Jiang Yue was holding.
"Aye, this works every time as a distraction," Xu Wuying remarked with a proud grin on her face as she put back the patch skin on the tattoo, making it disappear.
Jiang Yue placed the gun back to the man's head and pulled the trigger, killing him instantly. She let go and let the body fall to the floor.
Jiang Yue then removed the watch from the man she last killed and checked it.
It was a normal-looking black watch, one that looks vintage yet futuristic at the same time. The design was a bit different from Tang Shuren's watch as he looks more expensive but the watch these men were wearing is simple-looking.
She turned it around and the same logo of a skull was engraved on its back, causing Jiang Yue to furrow her brows.
"What is it?" Xu Wuying asked as she put the gun in the holster on her inner thigh.
"A watch," Jiang Yue merely replied then opened her phone.
She went back to the program that she had used a while ago then said to Xu Wuying, "Wait give me time. The other men who had left might have already started looking through the surveillance camera and they might recognize you."
"They might have been near Tang Shuren all this time if they knew it was me who he was talking to at a hotel," Xu Wuying remarked as she fixed herself.
Jiang Yue focused on what she was doing.
If she had used her laptop, hacking into the surveillance camera and erasing their presence or even changing their identities so that people who are watching the surveillance right now won't be able to recognize or see them, would be an easy feat for her.
But since she only has her phone with her right now, she could only go through the easiest and most convenient way for her so they won't be detected— sending a virus to the surveillance camera system, disabling every camera in the hotel.
The security team who monitors the CCTV would try to fix this problem, but with Jiang Yue's virus creation, there was no way they could fix it in just a day, as not only would it disable the cameras but it would also ruin and mess up the CCTV system, deleting everything.
But the men they had encountered tonight, who were assigned to protect people, could immediately guess that someone had messed with the CCTVs. And who knows what they would do— they could lock down the hotel if they have to power to, or they could block every entrance and exit.
The virus that she had implanted started to attack the CCTV system and every camera in the hotel stopped working in no time.
Jiang Yue turned off her phone and then stood up, "Let's go."
"Do you think those men are outside the hotel, waiting to ambush us?" Xu Wuying couldn't help but ask, but just thinking about it made her blood boil from excitement.
Although she and Shadow had been friends long before when they were assassins in Alpha Assault, they barely had any mission together because the girl liked to work alone.
Shadow had never worked with anyone.
And when they started Fallen Vengeance, there are only a few missions in that Shadow would lend a hand and that is when Ethan isn't capable enough to hack into anything, then Shadow would step in.
And there were even cases where she had been caught and Ethan had no choice but to ask for Shadow's help, and the girl would hack into anything, trace her whereabouts, study the place where she was held hostage, and give her the information she needed so she could escape.
So having the chance to fight along with this girl, who was considered an assassin that no one wanted to mess with, was an honor for her.
"Why don't we just partner up? Everything seems easy with you," Xu Wuying suggested as the two went out and took an elevator down to the ground floor.
Jiang Yue glanced at her and said dryly, "Then you wouldn't have to do anything. That's why I don't work with anyone, they would be useless to me and would just be a heavy burden instead."
The corner of Xu Wuying's eyes couldn't help but twitch.
She doesn't even know what to say because the girl was right at some point.
During the whole incident, it was Shadow who handled everything. 2
