"Not seeing you for years made me forget what kind of person you are," Xu Wuying said, "but it would still be pretty good to be your partner. I would just be riding your coattails."  2

Jiang Yue continued walking down the stairs as her eyes were stuck on the screen of her phone, "I already have a partner."

Xu Wuying who understood what the girl meant, rolled her eyes, "That's a different kind of partner." 

Seeing the girl too busy, she came close and looked at the girl's phone screen, only to find that Shadow had been checking the surveillance cameras that she had disabled.

Jiang Yue not only messed up the system but programmed it so that she could also use the surveillance cameras for herself, allowing her to watch what was happening inside the hotel. 

Xu Wuying had expected that it would be easy for the girl to hack into a hotel's surveillance camera, but making it so that the girl could still use it, took her aback. 

Anything is possible for Shadow. 

Several men dressed in black entered the hotel and took the elevator and Xu Wuying seeing that couldn't help but complain, "Fuck, we had to walk all these stairs?" 

Jiang Yue merely responded, "They only know about you and even if I took an elevator with them they wouldn't even do anything to me, yet here I am. Aren't I too good for you?" 

Xu Wuying rolled her eyes, "Well, thank you very fucking much for suffering with me." 

Jiang Yue shrugged her shoulders as she continued to watch the two groups of five men take two different elevators to their room's floor. The other group then entered the room, where the six dead bodies of the other men were laying on the floor— plus Tang Shuren's. 

She took out the watch that she inserted on the bosom part of her dress and then checked it.

Xu Wuying who was looking at it also, commented, "These watches that they had been wearing must be sending their vital signs to their group of people. Or else, why did they only appear when Tang Shuren was about to die when they had been near him all this time? This is damn cool, why don't you make one for me too?" 

Jiang Yue glanced at her, "Its only purpose is to give your other teammates your vital signs, serves as a tracker and alarm. What are you gonna use it for, when you don't even have a teammate now?" 

The grin on Xu Wuying's face stiffened, "Thank you for reminding me that?" 

Seeing that the woman might have been hurt by her words, Jiang Yue couldn't help but touch the tip of her nose and then explained herself, "I'm not mocking you, I'm just saying that it wouldn't serve its purpose unless you have someone to help you with your missions. I can't be that other person either, I have my life now and I can't always save you." 

Xu Wuying's expression changed to one that was delighted right away, "Then does that mean if I got someone to help me with my mission, you'll make it for me?" 

Jiang Yue nodded, "You do know that you can hire a person to make it for you, right? It doesn't have to be necessarily me." 

"Why do I have to pay thousands for that when I could get it done perfectly and free at that?" Xu Wuying responded. 

"Up to you, just tell me when you want me to make it for you." 

Jiang Yue turned her attention to the watch in her hand then turned it around, "Are you familiar with this symbol?" 

Xu Wuying looked at what she was referring to, which was the symbol of a skull engraved in gold metal at the back of the watch. 

"This symbol was also on their gun right?" She asked and Jiang Yue hummed an assent. 

She then continued, "I'm not familiar with it, there are a lot of logos or symbols that have a skull on them but this one I'm not really sure— it looks just like a normal symbol."

Jiang Yue's forehead creased, "I doubt they are a normal group. They were able to make these kinds of technologies and were even able to enhance a Staccato XC which is already one of the best pistols out there." 

Xu Wuying became silent, and Jiang Yue pursed her lips as she became too engrossed in her thoughts.

In the surveillance room of the hotel. 

The security team who are assigned to watch the surveillance cameras were knocked out and laying on the floor, and three men had replaced them sitting in front of the computer screens. 

However, these three men had their brows furrowed as just as they were on the move to find a certain person, the computer screens showing different places inside the hotel started to freeze, and in just a minute turned black in an instant. 

"What happened?" One of the men asked as he tried to go through all the surveillance cameras but the computer screen only showed a black screen, confusing them. 

"Something might have happened, wait I'll call Shi San Jing," the other man stated, and clicked something on the watch, turning the gold and vintage front part of it to a touchscreen. 

But just as he was about to call Shi San Jing who was the captain of their team, a call came in. He answered it immediately. 

"Connect me to the surveillance cameras, six of our men are dead. That woman must have been still inside the hotel." A voice on the other side stated in a cold and authoritative voice. 

The man's expression hardened when he heard the other person's words on the other end of the call, however, his voice couldn't help but say in a low voice, "We can't do that. We have a problem, the surveillance cameras aren't working." 

"What do you mean it's not working?" 

The man then explained as he tried to go through the computer again, "It was fine a while ago then everything started to turn black. We've tried our best to fix it but nothing's working." 

The three of them that were in the surveillance room were the best in terms of these kinds of things in their team, yet they weren't able to do anything. Then it only means that the woman they were after is good at hacking or she has an accomplice who had done it for her. 

"What exact time?" 

"Just 10 minutes ago." 

"That must have been that woman's doing. Don't bother with it anymore, search through every floor for that woman. I've already asked for backup from another team and they will appear here in less than an hour. For now, it is up to us, so no matter what happens, don't let that woman leave the hotel." 

"Understood."

Jiang Yue and Xu Wuying were on the 5th floor of the hotel already after walking for more than ten minutes.

However, seeing that two men from one of the groups are about to enter the 5th floor's emergency staircases, she and Xu Wuying stopped and hid behind the wall, waiting for the two men to enter. 

Knowing that those men will know once their teammates are dead because of their watches, they decided to knock the two men unconscious. 

And so they waited for the two to turn towards the stairs before taking action.

Jiang Yue and Xu Wuying each grabbed one of the two and punched them with the needed force on their jawbone.

They knew that hitting them on their jawbone rather than on their head is much more effective as it magnifies the force of their blow, traveling around the men's skull, causing them to be knocked out instantly. 

"I wanted to use their guns," Xu Wuying couldn't help but utter as she massaged her knuckles that just turned red, "I wanna see how much of a difference it is with a Staccato XC." 

"You can try it out." Jiang Yue remarked. 

"Those men might be sensitive to the sounds of their own guns, and they might locate us." 

"It has a silencer, you just need to activate it." 

"It has a fucking what— It has a built-in silencer? Damn, it is really an enhanced Staccato XC."

Jiang Yue didn't respond as her eyes were already on her phone. 

Her expressionless face then turned to one that was confused and then to one that was alert. 

Not even less than five minutes since they had knocked out of consciousness the two, and she checked the surveillance camera to check if any of those men are about to search through the emergency staircase. However, she noticed that the other fourteen men who were searching through different floors and hallways of the hotels, started to change their direction.

Now they're all going to the emergency staircase of the 5th floor of the hotel. 

Jiang Yue then realized something. 

She turned towards Xu Wuying and then remarked, "You'd be able to use that in a while."
