What is Shadow up to this time?

Although it was the both of them who started Fallen Vengeance, it was mostly her who created those rules and she would ask about Xu Wuying's opinion about it.

Fallen Vengeance is widely recognized for their assassin's skill and notoriety, and she hadn't expected that the stringent rules and code that they had enforced can make Xu Wuying feel confined and trapped within their organization.

'Was that why it was easy for Ethan to take over and remove those rules because most of the members agreed that it was time for a change?'

Jiang Yue couldn't help but think.

To her, it was a tight-knit group bounded by common goals, yet to Xu Wuying and the other members, it can sometimes feel like a prison of regulations.

Jiang Yue had to stop thinking about the matter first as she noticed that someone had used the elevator. She pulled Xu Wuying's other hand and they took a turn, taking the elevator on the other end. 

"Is it safe to take the elevator?" Xu Wuying asked. 

It was safer for them to walk to the ground floor just in case those men would get hold of the information that they were taking the elevator and ambush them.

"Do we have any other choice? Almost all of them are now in the emergency staircase." Jiang Yue responded and press the ground floor button, "Hopefully, no other people would take the elevator." 

Or else they had to knock those people out as Xu Wuying's hand that was soaked in blood would be hard to explain.

Jiang Yue opened her phone and looked at the surveillance video of the hotel, analyzing what would be the next best course of action. 

If those men would continue searching the emergency staircase, they would be able to leave the hotel peacefully as no one was on the ground floor now. 

However, the ten minutes that they had spent was just enough for those men to check all the floors of the emergency staircase. Jiang Yue thought they would split up to different floors again however, she noticed that almost half of the men were now going to the 6th floor's hallway— to where their elevator has just left.

While the others are now going down. 

Jiang Yue frowned, as she didn't expect that. 

How did those men know where they were? 

If this goes on, they won't be able to leave and just continue hiding inside the hotel, running away from these men. 

She then decided to do something. 

Jiang Yue glanced one time at her screen, memorizing where all those men are and analyzing where they would end up, then she gave it to Xu Wuying. 

She pressed the elevator button and it stopped on the 5th floor just in time. 

"Go, I want to get this done immediately. Just click the round button on the notification tab and it will send a signal to my laptop, and I'll go to you wherever you are after this." Jiang Yue stated and grabbed Xu Wuying by her arm and pushed the girl out of the elevator.

She then pressed the button to the ground floor. 

They can't discuss a specific location where to meet as it would be hard for Xu Wuying whose hand was soaked with blood. 

Xu Wuying wanted to go back inside as there was no way she would leave the girl alone but Jiang Yue glared at her, halting her in place as she cursed under her breath.

She could only watch the elevator close. 

"Fuck, that girl still hasn't changed, she still likes to handle everything on her own," she muttered. 

She doesn't even know why Shadow just suddenly made the two of them separate!

They were able to avoid those men because they can watch their move with the surveillance camera, yet now it is in her hand and she isn't sure what Shadow would do now.

She focused her attention on the phone and studied the surveillance camera, shifting from one surveillance camera to another to see where those men are headed now. 

Realizing that those men had probably tracked them as they don't look like they were blindly searching, made her curse again. 

What happened? How were they able to know where they were? And why are none following her and only Shadow? 

Xu Wuying's head couldn't wrap around these questions when she finally thought about something. 

"Was it that fucking watch again?" She mumbled as she ran on the staircase with one hand navigating the phone, while the other was pressed on her dress. 

No wonder those men are still following after Shadow as the girl had the watch on her! 

But what is Shadow up to this time?

Jiang Yue who was left on the elevator fixed herself, then grabbed the watch that she had hidden on her bosom. 

There was now a red dot blinking on the gold crown of the watch, which wasn't there the last time she had checked it.

She knew it. 

Other than the watch on her, there was no way those men would be able to track them other than the surveillance camera, which she has control over. 

They probably only activate its tracker now. 

Jiang Yue couldn't help but sneer. 

She thought it was a perfect innovation but for them to only activate the tracker now made her realize that it probably isn't easy for them to do so or else they could have done it even before. 

Its tracker probably isn't placed on the watch but on its wearer, and now they had to track the exact watch itself, which took time. 

Seeing the elevator screen show that she was on the 2nd floor already, she dropped the watch and kicked it to the corner of the elevator, where it could still be seen. 

She then hid her other hand holding the gun behind her, waiting for the elevator to reach the ground floor.

Six men who were all wearing black suits with a gun in their hands were all positioned in front of an elevator on the ground floor. 

One of the men said, "We're all in position." 

And a voice replied from its watch, "Okay, we'll be there immediately. Whatever happens, don't kill the woman." 

"Understood." 

A 'ding' could be heard, indicating that the elevator had now arrived at the ground floor.

The six men tightened their hold on the gun as their eyes were fixed on the elevator door that was slowly opening. 

Everyone was just about to take a step forward but had to halt in their place when they saw the woman inside the elevator. 

They had expected to see a woman dressed in red, with bloody matte lipstick, but the woman in front of them wore a black dress, her wavy long hair down, and, despite her heavy makeup, she had a different vibe— cold and unapproachable.

They had seen the woman when they were at the club, and there was no doubt the one in front of them was not her. 

Their eyes searched the elevator, but other than her there was no one. However, their eyes landed on the watch that was on the corner. 

The man who had just spoken a while ago cursed under his breath, He put down his gun and pressed a button on the watch. He then reported to their captain who was on the other end of the phone, "False alarm, that woman left the watch on the elevator." 

Just as he finished those words, a thud could be heard.

He turned his head around and was astounded when he saw his four teammates already laying on the ground, all of them had the center of their foreheads penetrated by a bullet.

The woman who he had thought had nothing to do with all of this, has now her arm raised with a gun that was exactly the same as the one in his hand. 

He wasn't able to react in time and just as he aimed his gun again at the woman, the only teammate that was left alive aside from him, fell to the floor, his eyes open and life gone just in seconds.  0

Jiang Yue moved her arm and pulled the trigger, not giving the man time for him to shoot at her.

The man just like the other five men, lay on the floor with a bullet in his forehead. 

She knew that none of them had known she was an accomplice of Xu Wuying, so she could attack them by surprise. If she didn't, no matter how fast she was in shooting, there was no way she could defeat fourteen of them, who all had an enhanced Staccato XC on their hands.

Jiang Yue bent down and grabbed the watch she had kicked to the corner of the elevator. 

She then walked out of the hotel entrance as though nothing had happened. 

A gun on her hand, while a watch on her other one.
