I need you to be my eyes and ears
Jiang Yue then took an elevator back to her hotel, but before she did that she had thrown the watch to the back of a pick-up truck, in order to confuse those men who were still using the watch to track her.
When she arrived she immediately opened her laptop and opened her tracker, where everyone who she had kept tabs on where showing their location. She had installed a tracker on Jiang Xiu's phone, and a red dot was blinking on the map, showing the location of the girl, along with Sunshine.
She clicked the red dot which was showing the location of her phone.
Jiang Yue's brow furrowed when she noticed that the red dot was moving and moving fast.
'Is Xu Wuying on a car?'
That was the thought on her mind.
She expected the woman would wait for her just close to the hotel, as she couldn't go anywhere with a bloody hand as people would freak out and it might alert the authorities.
She washed and changed into a much more comfortable outfit, then sat on the chair and continued observing Xu Wuying's location on the laptop.
She doesn't know why but her heart couldn't calm down.
Jiang Yue opened one of the programs she had and her hands once again flew on the keyboard of her laptop.
With the use of the program, she was able to set up her phone that was on Xu Wuying so that she could hear what was happening on her side, as Jiang Yue's intuition was telling her that Xu Wuying might not be alone.
It was easy for her to do as it the phone was connected to her laptop.
Jiang Yue's whole body was taut as she listened to the sounds that were coming from her laptop, or rather, coming from Xu Wuying's side.
And her guess was indeed right, Xu Wuying wasn't alone, nor did she leave willingly.
"What accomplice? I work alone."
She could hear Xu Wuying stating on the other side, prompting her brows to furrow more.
"Don't deny it, do you think we're that stupid? She killed six people from Team 4, creating a diversion and giving you the time to escape."
"Well, for your team to get distracted that easily then all of you must be really stupid. But honey, I'm not denying it nor lying to you, I work alone. Well, I did have a partner once, but now it's only me."
"Don't ask her any more questions, let's just save that once we've arrived at the base. Let's see if she could still keep her mouth close."
Another person stated on Xu Wuying's side, making Jiang Yue narrow her eyes.
"What close? I've been giving you the information you wanted all this time yet it's you people who don't believe me," Xu Wuying sneered and no other replies could be heard from her company, as they did stop questioning her.
Jiang Yue after realizing that they probably won't talk anymore, shifted her attention to her laptop and started to search the logo that was on the back of the watch and the hand grip of the gun.
However, nothing came up.
She didn't find anything.
It would have been better if she did find something but it was encrypted and confidential as that would confirm the existence of such an organization or group, but getting nothing leaves her stuck and clueless about what to do.
As her phone was still with Xu Wuying and she left the one Luo Zhelan had given her in their apartment, Jiang Yue could only result in hacking Paragon.
***
At the headquarters of Paragon.
At the top floor of a small building, a woman around 22 years old and a man around 27 years old were in front of the computers, busy with their matters.
She was leisurely leaning on her swivel chair as her hands flew on the keyboard, however, her relaxed expression suddenly changed to a confused one when the screen of the computer suddenly froze.
She straightened her back and wanted to check the defense wall of their network security but she couldn't as her computer froze, not allowing her to do anything.
She turned her head toward the only person in the room and asked, "Can I borrow your computer for a bit?"
The man turned towards her, "Did something happen to yours?"
She stood up and it was only then that she noticed that just like hers, the man's computer screen was frozen too.
"Is Paragon being hacked into?" She muttered and was just about to turn on the other set of computers not far away from her, but her computer suddenly turned black then a face appeared on the screen, making her halt in her place,
It was a face that she hadn't seen for a long time yet was still fresh on her mind as the girl's face wasn't something so easy to forget.
"Blank, you scared the hell out of me," She cursed under her breath and went back to sit in front of her computer.
Jiang Yue fixed her laptop so her face could be seen properly before replying, "Oh sorry about that Xiaoli, I didn't have my phone with me so I don't know how to contact you."
"Who in the world hacks into a hacking organization just because they can't contact anyone? You don't know how nervous I was when my computer screen suddenly froze. I thought someone had broken through the security system you had made," Xaoli replied with her forehead creased.
Jiang Yue who was just about to say something couldn't help but shift her gaze to the man behind Xiaoli, and sensing her gaze, Xiaoli immediately explained.
"This is Liu Ming, by the way, the recently accepted core member of Paragon. Didn't Phantom tell you? Oh, he's not currently here, he has to settle some matter so the two of us are the only ones here."
Liu Ming who was standing behind Xiaoli nodded at her and she nodded back.
"He did."
Phantom sent her the files of all the members that were qualified to be core members, which only consist of three people as there was barely anyone who stayed that long in Paragon.
"I need your help," Jiang Yue straightforwardly said, dumbfounding Xiaoli as she didn't expect those words from Blank.
Blank was the best among the four of them and had already even surpassed President Sun's skills, who was Phantom and Blank's Master, so for the girl to ask for their help was really out of her expectations.
Was there even a thing they could that Blank couldn't?
Xiaoli immediately nodded, "Sure, what do you need help with? What can we do for you?"
"I need you to be my eyes and ears."
Jiang Yue explained everything to Xiaoli and Liu Ming also offered to help her, getting all the help she needed.
Going to a place and going against a group she doesn't have any information about is equivalent to suicide to her.
She hasn't failed any assassination when she was an assassin as she had planned everything out. She was careful in her planning and advanced in her thinking, she leaves nothing to chance, ensuring that every action and objective is precisely executed.
She methodically examines every detail of any mission, from the location and timing to potential limitations and escape routes, before embarking on it. She considers all conceivable possibilities and devises backup strategies to deal with unforeseen situations.
Jiang Yue believes that information is the key to success, hence no detail is too insignificant.
The name 'Shadow' wasn't feared for nothing, she had planned everything to get where she was now.
But she can't let Xu Wuying end up in the hand of all those men, as not only does she know a lot of information that could endanger Fallen Vengeance and her but also because she is her friend, someone who had been on her side when they were just starting Fallen Vengeance.
Jiang Yue had already changed into black fjeans and a black fitted long sleeves, and an earpiece that was also a mic was already placed on her ear.
As she couldn't waste any more time, she decided to leave right away without waiting for Xu Wuying to arrive at their destination, stealing a motorcycle that was parked in the parking space, and ensuring that she wasn't captured in any CCTVs.
Jiang Yue drove through the highway in the fastest way she could, trying to catch up to Xu Wuying with Xiaoli telling her which way to go.
"The red dot had stopped at the Osaham City that was on the border of Country F, at Eve lane two blocks away— they just entered Oakwood Subdivision. Just drive straight for 29 kilometers then go right. Wait, I'm trying to get into the surveillance cameras on the streets of the subdivision."
"Understood," Jiang Yue responded and drove way faster this time, hitting 160 mph on the speedometer of the motorcycle.1
She could feel the cool breeze of the night hit her skin, yet she continued to twist with force the throttle of the motorcycle, not afraid to even go faster.
"They had entered Villa number 7, I don't think you could enter through the subdivision entrance as there are several guards," Liu Ming reported, causing Xiaoli to be nervous for the girl as she looked for other ways.
"Is there no other route?" Jiang Yue asked.
"Wait, let me check."
Xiaoli then said, "There's one, but you have to go around the subdivision, the gate wall is under construction there."
"Okay, lead the way."
