"How about you revive Tang Shuren?" The man responded to her question, then he continued, "Do you think that's possible?"0

Jiang Yue purse her lips as her eyes narrowed.

So this was the man behind the team that was protecting Tang Shuren?

Jiang Yue relaxed her taut muscles and leaned on the couch.

Since the man in front of them was taking the time to talk to her, then he must need something from them, or else he would have killed her and Xu Wuying when he had the chance, but he didn't.

"Why don't you tell me who you are first?" Jiang Yue asked in a low voice.

She wanted to know who he was and what kind of organization she would be going against. 

The man laughed coldly.

Xu Wuying who was listening to the conversation, felt a shiver run down her spine when she heard the man laugh.

She didn't expect something like this to happen. She had already braced herself for all the torture she would go through and she had even accepted that she'll die that night when they brought her to the basement.

Although she knows Shadow would rescue her, with her condition, she thought she won't be able to last long if they tortured her. But who would have thought they would make her sit on the couch and give her a glass of wine instead, as though she was a guest? Then the man wearing the white coat arrived and started to question her why she killed Tang Shuren, however, she kept her mouth shut.

"Bold of you to ask when you're the one wearing a cap and a mask. I could barely see your face," The man uttered as he tilted his head and looked straight into Jiang Yue's eyes. 

Realizing that he might not answer her question, she asked again, "What do you want?" 

"Tell me why you killed Tang Shuren and I might consider letting you leave this place alive," The man said, prompting her to sneer. 

In all her life, it was always her who said those words to the people she had interrogated, and she would never have thought that one day she'll be on the receiving end of such words. 

"Consider? Now, that's not a fair deal, isn't it? Why don't I offer you a better one?" Jiang Yue suggested. 

This time, it was the man who sneered when he heard her statement, "Do you need a reminder of where you are right now?" 

Jiang Yue's eyes roamed around the room, checking the gun in each of the men's hands. She shrugged, "Wouldn't hurt to try, after all, I might die in the next few minutes." 

The man was silent for a moment before he nodded, "Let me hear it." 

Jiang Yue's lips perked up, but because she was wearing a mask, it wasn't visible and the man could only see how her eyes lit up. She stopped leaning on the chair and instead put her chin on her palm, looking like she was admiring the person in front of her. 

"You let us leave safely, you'll tell me who you are and what kind of organization you're running," she stated, referring to their group and she hadn't even finished her words when the man suddenly laughed, as though he just heard the biggest joke of all time. 

"I'm sorry for laughing, this is the first time someone made a deal with me and it's full of bullshit."

"You haven't even heard what you'll get from this deal," Jiang Yue reminded and the man raised his brow and merely said, "Oh?"

"I'll tell you why we killed Tang Shuren and I'll tell you who we are. Isn't that a fair deal?" She started with her eyes smiling at the man. 

"Fair deal?" The man scoffed, "I could get the information I needed and I don't give a shit about who the two of you are. You better offer something useful to me." 

Jiang Yue, realizing that she might not be able to convince the man to let the two of them leave safely right after, decided to do something. 

Although she could kill several people in just a few seconds, with ten guns aimed at her, she would only be able to kill two or three before a bullet penetrated her brain, she can't risk that. 

She has to leave this place alive.

She knows that even if they explain why they killed Tang Shuren, they would still kill her and Xu Wuying. Her only way out of this is persuading him to not kill them, and for her to do that she has to make him realize their worth or exchange a deal that is beneficial to him. 

"Ah, but the thing is, you won't be able to get any information from us," Jiang Yue stated then she slowly raised her hand that was holding the gun and pointed it at her head, "We were trained to never divulge any information." 

The man merely sneered, and Jiang Yue then moved the gun that was aimed at her head to the man in front of her.

"But I won't do that, that would be too boring, wouldn't it?" She asked as she tilted her head, the sound of shuffling could be heard just as she aimed the gun.

The men inside the room that surrounded them had all their guns aimed at her, their fingers on the trigger.

One wrong move and bullets will soon rain inside the room.

However, Jiang Yue didn't back down nor can fear and hesitation be seen in her eyes, getting the man's interest.

"An offer that is useful to you, huh? How about this... I'll offer any help that you need in exchange for you letting us leave safely."

"Do you think I'm short of men?" The man scoffed, "You're merely wasting my time. Tell me, why did you kill Tang Shuren?"

"No, but someone who does not mess up, yes. Let us leave and I'll give you my word that when you need something to be done, I'll do it for you."

Seeing that the man wasn't persuaded and was about to say something again, Jiang Yue then said, "Atlas Ares."

"What bullshit are you saying this time again?"

She then continued without breaking any eye contact with the man, "The 4th man to my right is holding an Atlas Ares. Barrel Length is 4.25 Bull, and its weight is 8 ounces, with a sight radius of 6 inches. The man beside him is holding the same gun but a different kind, Atlas Titan. The furthest man on my left is holding a Canik SFx Rival S. The whole room was silent, however, she didn't stop there, "I can identify each gun that your men had in their hands aimed at me. If all of us pulled the trigger at the same time, who would you think would die first?"

Xu Wuying who had been silent all this time, answered instead, "Is there a need to ask? Of course, it's him."

It was an obvious answer as she had seen the capability of the enhanced Staccato XC, not to mention that the girl was closer to the man than his men were with her.

It would have been better if they just killed her rather than leave her to bleed to her death with the wound in her hand. With how much time they had taken already, she doubt Shadow could still treat it, damaging it permanently.

Now that Shadow aimed the gun at the man in front of her, she just wants her to pull the trigger. If they die, might as well drag this motherfucker with them!

Jiang Yue's eyes glinted and the man had all seen it as neither of them broke eye contact, "They're all holding a gun that is among the top pistols, but none would still compare to an enhanced Staccato XC that is in my hand. Not only would I be able to kill you but I'll also be able to drag two or three more men with me before I die."

The man who had only been looking at her finally opened his mouth to say, "Ah, it was a mistake on my part that I let you keep the gun, but that was quite impressive from you. How about you tell me why you killed Tang Shuren and I'll let you work for me."

It was Jiang Yue who laughed coldly this time, then she used his words, "Ah, I'm sorry for laughing. Although it isn't the first time someone made this kind of deal with me, but yours was filled with the most bullshit. Let us leave and I'll let you live, sounds fair doesn't it?"

"Oh, what happened to your deal?"

"You're interested?"

"I'm not interested in the deal, I'm interested in you," The man said with a grin, "I don't need someone who can identify a gun, I need someone skilled in using it. So how about you show me?"

Jiang Yue tilted her head, "Should I show it by shooting a bullet in your head? Or do you expect me to move my aim so your men could kill me?"

"Put your guns down," The man suddenly said, causing Jiang Yue to furrow her brows as she can't predict what this man is up to now.

"Impress me and I'll accept your deal."
