Going into the dark web

Jiang Yue stayed in Shangshu City for a few days.

In those few days, she had done nothing but gather information about Inferno and White Serpent, however it was easier said than done. 

Just like how her investigation about Feng De, she had found nothing about Inferno as well and was in a dead end again, not knowing what to do next. 

It's either every discussion about Inferno in the internet is right away deleted as as its trace or no one had ever even mentioned Inferno. 

She believed it was the latter as Inferno isn't just a normal private security agency, but she refuses to believe that no one had ever discussed or mention it as she might be looking for it in the wrong place.

Jiang Yue's fingers tapped on the table as she waited for her laptop to finish loading. She had done every preparation to enter the dark web, as it is a part of the internet that isn't visible to search engines and could only be accessed through the use of a browser. 

The Dark Web was always the last place for Jiang Yue to look through as what is this web makes her want to vomit what kinds of things people are capable to do, they had no bottom lines. 

It is a place where most criminal activities take place as they can remain anonymous, and every user of the dark web and their activities are nearly untraceable, giving them the safe space to do whatever they want. 

Even her who can hack into anything won't be able to trace any user in the dark web.

It is a place where underground stores sell goods and services, where people hire hackers, purchase fake identification cards, counterfeit moneys, and data stolen from users and even companies and organization in exchange for money or cryptocurrency. However, what makes the dark web the last place for Jiang Yue to look, was that if you dig deep enough, you will find activities that are hair-raising. 

Jiang Yue straightened her back when she saw that she had finally entered the dark web, she clicked the search engine and typed 'Inferno' and a few seconds later, several listings showed up on the screen. 

She looked every listing and she couldn't help but frown as there is another group of people that sell drugs named 'Inferno', which she believed isn't what she's looking for, making it hard for her as it is about them that pops up instead of the private security agency 'Inferno'. 

She refuses to believe that no one in the dark web had dealings or information about Inferno, as it is a group that safeguards people and several services in the dark web are the opposite of what they do. 

Jiang Yue looked through everything, and something suddenly caught her eyes, prompting her to click on that listing. 

It was a person selling an information about Inferno.

Jiang Yue read the description of the information he was selling and her pupils constricted when she realized she finally found what she was looking for.

She clicked on the purchase button and three categories appeared, where three types of information available for purchase showed; Basic Information, Available Information and Confident Information about Inferno.

The three have different prices, ranging from 20 million dollars to 100 million dollars.

Jiang Yue clicked the three boxes, not in the least bit bothered about the prices as money was the last of her worry.

Jiang Yue filled in her details, and waited for the person to reply as she leaned on the chair.

Hearing the sound of footsteps, she looked up, only to see a disgruntled Xu Wuying.

"It's 6 am, why are you up so early?" Xu Wuying asked in an aggrieved tone as she sat on the couch and turned on the television in the living room.

"It's already 6 am, its late in the morning." Jiang Yue replied as she took a sip of coffee.

Xu Wuying groaned hearing those words from her, "Don't talk to me."

Jiang Yue instead asked, "How's your wound? We can remove the stitch today."

After they had left, She and Xu Wuying stayed in a rental house and she gathered every tool that she needed and performed a surgery on Xu Wuying at that same night.

Thankfully, she was able to treat the damaged vein, and Xu Wuying would just have to rest for a few days and wait for the wound to heal.

Five days have passed and she had to remove the stitches, as it was only a small wound, it was only a few stitches.

"I can move my hand now," Xu Wuying responded showing her wrist.

Jiang Yue nodded and stood up to get the tools she needed.

After disinfecting the surgical scissors and sterile forceps, Jiang Yue started to cut the stitches on Xu Wuying's wound.

"I'll leave tomorrow," Jiang Yue stated her eyes fixed on what she was doing.

"You're leaving already? You're gonna leave me with a hand like this?"

She glanced at Xu Wuying and dryly replied, "You just said you can move your hand now."

"I can move my hand is different from I can use my hand. You can't just leave me alone, who will take care of me?"

Jiang Yue rolled her eyes, "Stop being so dramatic, your other hand is completely fine. Or I can just drop you in a hospital so nurses can take care of you, your choice."

"Why do I have to be taken care by nurses when I have you?"

Jiang Yue scoffed and didn't reply knowing that Xu Wuying was merely annoying her.

After removing the stitches she went back to her laptop to see if the person had already replied to his purchase.

Not long after, she received a message in her account. Jiang Yue opened it and just like what she had expected it was the files of information that she had purchased.

She opened it and started reading the list of information.

The Basic Information tackles about what Inferno is, which she had already known from White Serpent.

The Available Information mentioned White Serpent who was the head of Inferno and is considered as the 'chief'. It was also mentioned how there are different teams that are assigned to protect certain people and they have different branches in almost all of the countries. Several name of countries were listed, and Country Z was among them.

Jiang Yue had already anticipated that Inferno has different branches in various countries, however, what she didn't expect was that Country X, one of the countries that are very hard to get into as they have strict rules and is considered as the most close country, was among them.

Despite it being an international private security agency, Inferno remained mysterious and unknown to all, implicating that it is really what White Serpent had said: Inferno was only for the most wealthy, influential and powerful people, to the point that their clients aren't even Fallen Vengeance targets.

Jiang Yue opened the last file which was the confidential one.

The first information that was listed wasn't what she had expected.

The line that she had read was 'Inferno is divided into to divisions; The Beta and the Alpha, consisting several teams', prompting her brows to furrow.

Jiang Yue continued reading the next few lines.

Both divisions are handled by White Serpent who was considered the head of Inferno but he mostly handles the Beta Team, and behind Inferno was a man named 'Felix', who was the Boss of such agency.

The next informations that were written was about Felix.

He dabbles into different kind of businesses, from security agencies to a shipping company, to being dealing firearms.

He was someone who had connections all over the world.

But he had never appeared before Inferno's men aside from the Team Captains of the Alpha Division and White Serpent, his second-in-command.

His real identity remains a mystery.

'Felix?'

Jiang Yue repeated the name in her mind, but no matter what, she can't remember anyone ever mentioning that name and neither was it discussed anywhere.

The last information that was stated there was the headquarter of Inferno which was Country Y, the country they were in and just next to Country Z.

Jiang Yue's fingers tapped on the table, as she thought about the information she had gathered.

She had thought that the 'Inferno' White Serpent introduced to her was already an excellent organization.

She could already imagine how intimmidating the teams of the Alpha Division given that the Beta Teams had accessed to an enhanced Staccato XC and a technology such as the watch.0

Then White Serpent must be telling her the truth when he said that he could provide her the resources she need to become better.

Jang Yue who now had an idea how powerful and big Inferno is, couldn't deny that she was interested to accept White Serpent's offer.

What she needed the most was connection and power, and only Inferno could provide that for her. However, leaving Fallen Vengeance was out of the question, especially now that the organization's hierarchy are chaotic.

Leaving Fallen Vengeance will lead to its destruction.

Jiang Yue contemplated her next set of actions.

In the end, she had decided to wait for White Serpent's ask of help and during that time, she'll consider accepting his offer.
