Without Young Master Luo, you'd be nothing

Jiang Yue gazed at the man in front of her, shocked because she hadn't expected that action from him.

Luo Zhelan cursed under his breath as he ran his hand through his hair; he, too, had not expected that move from him.

He looked at her, his eyes searching for signs of discomfort.

He felt guilty because he had not asked her permission before kissing her. They had only been in a relationship for over two weeks, and for the first week, Jiang Yue was preoccupied with her affairs; he was concerned that she hadn't adjusted to this relationship yet, particularly with physical touch.

He looked at her and said in a low voice, "I'm sorry."

Jiang Yue this time, was even more surprised, "What are you apologizing for?"

"I should have asked your permission before doing that. Please let me know if I'm overstepping any boundaries." He said, his voice soft and apologetic.

She looked at him and she could see the sincerity in his eyes, making her smile, "It's okay, I didn't mind... I like it when you take the first step," she replied, her voice calm and reassuring.

Luo Zhelan breathed a sigh of relief, and his tight expression loosened. He leaned in, and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead, "Then tell me if you don't like any certain actions of mine and I will change it."

He knew that for the two of them who had each other as their first partner, they had to be open to one another and communicate for their relationship to work.

"Works both ways," Jiang Yue said, nodding. "Ask me anything you want to know."

She could still recall how he came up with the idea that she was distancing herself from him at the dinner banquet because of one of her sentences.

"Hmm," Luo Zhelan hummed an assent, opening the car door for her. "Are you going back to Xiao Xiu's condo? Or do you still have anywhere to go?"

"I'm going back to the condo later; can we go to the mall first and then come back here?" she asked as she buckled her seat belt.

"Mind telling me what's going on?"

"Do you recall Sunshine, the one I introduced you to at the celebration dinner?"

Luo Zhelan gave a nod.

"She was charged with malicious damage to Q & K Club property, and she's now passed out on the floor of the detention cell, smelling like puke. Oh, do you know any lawyers other than Lawyer Lin?" she questioned.

"Why not just let Lawyer Lin handle it?" Luo Zhelan couldn't help but wonder, knowing the girl's connections to Lawyer Lin.

"And make him handle just a few thousand yuan case? Wouldn't that be an insult to him?"

"If you're worried about that then how about I just handle it for you?" Luo Zhelan stated, prompting Jiang Yue to turn towards him.

"What? You're a lawyer now?"

Luo Zhelan chuckled, "No, that's not what I meant. Just help your friend and I'll get someone to act on her case."

"Wouldn't that increase your workload? Just let me handle this one; it doesn't take up too much of my time anyway."

She knows he was already exhausted from his workload and the last thing she wanted to do was add more.

"I told you, I'm not acting as the lawyer here. I wouldn't even do anything aside from calling certain people." Luo Zhelan explained, although he believed that it doesn't take that much of her time, why not just let him handle it and she won't even have to do anything?

Only then did Jiang Yue recall what kind of person Luo Zhelan is.

Despite the fact that she had built her own empire over the years in order to wield the power that comes with it, it was nothing compared to what the person next to her possessed.

With only one phone call, he may have someone act on a situation that she needed to reach out to others to handle.

In the end, Jiang Yue nodded.

It wouldn't hurt her if she let Luo Zhelan help.

"Which mall should we go to?" Luo Zhelan asked to which she replied, "Any mall would do."

"How about Grand Treasure?"

Jiang Yue's brow furrowed since Grand Treasure was a high-end mall and was regarded as the most luxurious shopping center in their country, but there was no need to go to such a mall because any clothes will do for Sunshine.

"Can't we just go to the nearest one?" she said, looking through the car's dashboard screen for the nearest mall.

"Aren't you concerned that some people will recognize you?"

It is only then that Jiang Yue remembered that since her issue with Zheng Qingsheng and the National College Entrance Examination, pictures of her had been circulating the internet.

Jiang Yue doesn't care what people think about her or whether they talk about her as long as they do not get in her way.

"Up to you, any mall would do."

Luo Zhelan nodded and not long after they arrived at Grand Treasure Mall, which was not that far from the police station.

The two of them entered the building and Jiang Yue realized that it was indeed better to go there as it wasn't crowded.

As she only needed some clothes for Sunshine to change into, she didn't bother about the brand and just entered the nearest clothing store to the entrance of the mall.

"I'll wait here," Luo Zhelan stated and sat on the waiting lounge of the store to give her the privacy to pick up her friend's clothes.

The sales clerk that had welcomed the two of them followed after her to assist.

Jiang Yue nodded and walked around the store, grabbing a casual blouse and shorts for Sunshine without even thinking about how it looked as long as it was that woman's size.

However, after seeing the lovely clothes on display, Jiang Yue couldn't help but buy a few for Jiang Xiu as well, as the flowy floral dresses reminded her of her sister.

She was only there to buy clothes for Sunshine, but she couldn't resist buying a few more for herself and Jiang Xiu as well. She also purchased two more pieces of clothing for Fu Xifeng, which she believes are ideal for her because the dresses are intricately crafted and appear elegant.

"Can I have this in my size?" Jiang Yue said of the sales clerk, who agreed and walked away to find the size she wanted.

Jiang Yue was just about to grab another piece of dress when another hand beat her to it and grabbed the dress first. She wasn't bothered about it and was just about to pick the next dress to it when a voice suddenly said, "So it really is you."

She turned around only to see a familiar face.

However, it was someone she had never seen or known; she had probably only seen her face somewhere but couldn't recall where.

Before she could ask, the woman stated with a smirk on her lips, "Ah, I didn't expect to see you here. I mean... you don't look like someone who can afford even the cheapest clothing here but on second thought, you probably can from the money you had gotten out of the lawsuit."

Jiang Yue's pupils constricted, not expecting those words from her.

However, no matter what, she couldn't remember who the woman was in front of her.

"Excuse me, but who are you?" Jiang Yue asked with no hesitation, as she was purely curious why she looks familiar to her when they haven't even met.

The woman's proud expression became tight in an instant as the corner of her lips grimaced a bit, "Stop acting as if you don't know who I am," she mocked.

Jiang Yue's brows furrowed.

What's the deal with this woman?

Is that even an appropriate response when asked who you are?

"If you're not going to tell me who you are, then don't bother me," Jiang Yue muttered dryly and was about to turn and walk away when the woman said something again, causing her to come to a halt.

"You really know how to get on people's nerves, don't you? Because of you, my reputation has been ruined, and I've had to step back from being an idol," The woman stated with gritted teeth, her eyes blazing with hatred.1

Jiang Yue was perplexed as to what she was talking about for a few seconds until she remembered why the woman looked familiar.

She was Yan Chun Hua.

"No wonder I can't recognize you," Jiang Yue hissed, "you look far worse than your overly edited photos on the internet."

She doubts she would recognize Yan Chun Hua if she hadn't said those words because she looks nothing like the photographs she's seen of her.

And why the hell is she even blaming her for the consequences of her actions? What exactly was she supposed to do? Allow her to claim her works?

This girl is sick in the head.

"Huh," Yan Chun Hua scoffed, "Do you think without Young Master Luo you'd be where you are now? You're just lucky he has your back. But once he threw you away like the trash that you are, I promise you with every cell of my body, I'll be the first one to get you Jiang Yue."
