President Luo was seen with a woman

The reception area was not far from the information desk, and the two attendees had an unobstructed view of everything that transpired, leaving them astounded.

Did they just witness their President welcome the girl with a warm smile and even fixed her hair for her?

Throughout their nearly three years of service in the company, they had never seen him smile, let alone act so warmly.

They never had thought they'd have the chance to see it that day because of Jiang Yue!

Then what's the relationship between the two of them?

One of the attendees said in a low voice, "President Luo is her boyfriend?"

The other attendee fell into contemplative silence, but inwardly, she found herself agreeing with her colleague's remark. Though the idea of Luo Zhelan, a scion of the prestigious Luo Family, being romantically involved with Jiang Yue appeared far-fetched due to the vast disparity between their backgrounds, they can't deny that the two look so in love with each other.

President Luo had even taken the liberty to tidy her hair – an unprecedented display of affection. This was a man known for his proper demeanor and distance from women, which rendered this gesture both astonishing and puzzling.

As realization dawned on them, a wave of nervous excitement coursed through their hearts.

They had inadvertently stumbled upon a revelation of great news value. Yet, they were acutely aware of the consequences they would face if they were to expose this information, and so, all they could do is keep to themselves the excitement they felt.

Meanwhile, Luo Zhelan and Jiang Yue had turned and were making their way toward the elevator. Upon reaching his office, Yang Lei, with an ear-to-ear grin, greeted Jiang Yue, "Hello, Miss Jiang."

Jiang Yue reciprocated the greeting, she then said, "Could I trouble you for a pair of utensils?"

She immediately left after heating the food and had forgotten to bring some utensils.

Upon receiving the utensils from Yang Lei, Jiang Yue began arranging the various dishes she had brought onto the lounge table. Her meticulousness was evident as she carefully organized the different containers.

Jiang Yue asked, extending the invitation, "Perhaps you would like to try some, Assistant Yang?"

He was about to refuse as he was still full from his lunch but Luo Zhelan who was sitting beside her started to give him a warning look, making him speechless.

He does not have any plans of accepting her offer, okay?

With a gentle shake of his head, Yang Lei responded, "Thank you for the offer, Miss Jiang. I'm still quite full from lunch. However, Young Master Luo here hasn't had his lunch yet."

A puzzled expression crossed Jiang Yue's features as she turned her attention to Luo Zhelan, who was seated beside her, "You haven't eaten yet?" she questioned, casting a glance at her wristwatch, "It's already past three in the afternoon."

"I was about to but then you decided to come here." Luo Zhelan responded.

"Ah then I doubt they'd be enough to make you satisfied," She turned towards Yang Lei and said, "How about you buy some— never mind, I'll just go to your company's cafeteria."

She wanted to tour the Luo Corporation as well.

"I'll go with you." Luo Zhelan immediately suggested.

"There's no need, you just wait here and eat," she stated and handed one set of utensils to him which he accepted.

"Then at least have Assistant Yang to go with you."

Jiang Yue nodded and the two of them left. Walking through the hallway, she couldn't help but ask, "Is Luo Zhelan perhaps allergic to anything?"

The food she had bought for him was cooked without the intention of giving it to him and so, she wanted to cook solely for him the next time.

Yang Lei replied, "He has an allergy to sesame but it's just mild. He tends to have gastrointestinal discomfort when he accidentally eats some."

The two of them arrived in the cafeteria and as it was already 3 p.m., there are only a few people there, around ten of them.

With the help of Yang Lei, Jiang Yue bought some foods that Luo Zhelan liked and also bought some drinks for him and herself.

The ten people who are inside the cafeteria though, had already landed their gaze on the two, their brows furrowed for two reasons; First, they hadn't seen that woman in their company. If she was an employee, they'd immediately hear about it since she has a striking beauty. Second, it was because of how Assistant Yang was acting toward her.

Employees were more familiar with Assistant Yang than with the President, who rarely visited the cafeteria. This familiarity allowed them to understand Assistant Yang well. Despite his title as an assistant, he played a crucial role as the right-hand man to the President of a large company.

This role garnered him respect, negating the need to fawn over influential people. He earned his respect independently through his association with President Luo.

However, Assistant Yang's behavior surprised everyone in the cafeteria. Assistant Yang treated the woman as though her position isn't any different from his boss. 

"Who do you think she is?" One man asked, and his co-worker replied, "Probably some president of a big company as well, or else Assistant Yang wouldn't act that way towards her."

"Yeah, I think so too, she looks intimidating."

The woman exuded strong confidence that truly draw the attention of others. The way she carried herself showed she had years of experience and unwavering determination.

"But she's pretty young for someone who's in a prominent position already." One person said.

"Still not as young when President Luo took over the Luo Corporation though," another one responded.

"Oh right, I forgot our President had taken over the company at a very young age as well. Anyone who's compared to him just fades in the background."

As their conversation progressed, the other person said, "Well, no one can compare to him. He was nurtured within the Luo Family, a symbol of opulence and power. Even the President of our country treads cautiously when it comes to the Luo Family, as their influence extends deeply into the country's economy. No one would compare to me also if was born in that kind of family." The man stated, earning him a frown from his co-worker as his eyes worriedly glanced towards Assistant Yang, afraid that they'd be heard.

Jiang Yue who was just a few meters from them, despite trying to hush their voices, was still able to hear what they all said, prompting her to sneer.  She felt both annoyed and entertained.

She didn't like the idea that only privilege leads to success, as it ignores hard work, determination, and personal skills.

Does that man think that if he was born in the Luo Family he'd be as great as Luo Zhelan as well?

Although life circumstances shape who people become, it's important to note that these effects differ from person to person.

For instance, Luo Zhelan had a privileged life with good education and resources. However, even if someone else had the same advantages, their life path would still be different. Each person's journey is a mix of their uniqueness, natural traits, and choices.

So, while external factors matter, the way personality, dreams, and circumstances interact means that identical situations won't lead to the same results for any two people.

There are other families with considerable influence and affluence, ranking just below the Luo Family. These families are capable of providing their children with everything they need, yet they don't follow the same trajectory as Luo Zhelan, who propelled his family's company to greater heights.

Certain individuals possess inherent talent and greatness that comes naturally, without the need for formal learning or extensive honing.

So hearing them say those words managed to trigger Jiang Yue more than she expected it to.

Yang Lei is already carrying in a paper bag the food that they had brought and turned around to leave the cafeteria. However, he noticed that Jiang Yue wasn't following him and was instead in front of a table where two of the company's employees were sitting.

He was just about to go to them when Jiang Yue had already turned around and walked towards him, the two men at the table had dark expressions.

"Is there any problem, Miss Jiang?" Yang Lei asked, worried that something had happened, but seeing her furrowed brows, he was sure that something did happen.

"There's nothing," Jiang Yue replied.

She had already warned those two, and it was enough for now.

"Oh okay. How about you go first?" Yang Lei stated and handed the paper bag to her which she accepted, "I'll just have to do something."

Jiang Yue nodded and left.

As the elevator reached the top floor, where Luo Zhelan's office was located, Jiang Yue's attention was drawn to the adjacent elevator, which also opened to reveal a middle-aged woman stepping out.

The woman's poised demeanor hinted at affluence, prompting Jiang Yue's discerning eye to identify her as hailing from a privileged background. However, a slight furrow formed between Jiang Yue's brows as she struggled to place where she had seen this woman before.

She looks so familiar, but Jiang Yue couldn't quite pinpoint the context.

Since she was on the top floor then she must be there for Luo Zhelan.0

With this thought in mind, Jiang Yue continued walking. Yet, her attention was recaptured when she heard the woman say, "I didn't anticipate encountering you here," her words rang out in the hallway.

Jiang Yue halted in her tracks, taken aback that the woman knew her.
