Just call me 'Auntie'

Jiang Yue turned around, only to find that the woman had a beaming smile on her face, making her even more confused. 

"Ah, I'm sorry but have we met before?" Jiang Yue asked. 

It wasn't the first time she heard those lines and the last time she did, she met someone who had nothing else better to do than seek death.

But the woman seems approachable and doesn't look like who has grudge on her. 

"Oh, we have indeed met but not in a way you think of," The woman replied as she walked closer to her. 

Jiang Yue didn't know what to say, as she had no idea who she is. 

But base from her words, they must have just bumped into one another. 

The woman extended her hand and introduced herself with a beautiful smile on her face, "I'm Yuan Ru, and it's finally nice to meet you my dear." 

Jiang Yue nodded and accepted her hand, although the woman seems to know who she was, she still introduced herself, "I'm Jiang Yue."

"You're pretty even upclose," Yuan Ru complimented, prompting her to touch the tip of her nose. 

"Thank you."

"Let's go together, I'm going to his office too." Then womab suggested and Jiang Yue nodded. 

The two of them walked together. 

Jiang Yue first knocked on the door and hearing the "Come in," She opened it and stepped inside, opening the bag and placing the food that she had brought. 

Luo Zhelan who had just placed his spoon, and was about to help Jiang Yue, couldn't help but stiffen in his seat when he saw who the other person that entered his office.

Why is his mother here? 

He immediately stood up, and said "Mom, why are you here?"

Jiang Yue who had just placed the last food container, halted in her place. 

The woman she just encountered was Luo Zhelan's mother? 

No wonder she looked familiar. 

Luo Zhelan had taken after her mother's looks but in a subtle way. 

Although she had done a background investigation on him, she didn't really put an emphasis on his parents, resulting for her to forget his mother's name. 

Yuan Ru hearing those words from her son, chuckled, "What? Am I not allowed to come here anymore?" 

Jiang Yue straightened her back and stood there clueless about what to do. 

She didn't expect to meet his mother in his office when they had already fixed a date when to meet. 

After a few seconds of contemplation, Jiang Yue greeted, "Hello, Madam Luo." 

Yuan Ru walked closer to the two, and said endearingly. "There's no need to call me 'Madam Luo', that sound so distant, just call me 'Auntie' dear, okay?"

Jiang Yue nodded. 

"I really didn't expect to see you here. I thought I'd have to wait for another week to meet you." Yuan Ru stated and sat on one of the single-person couch. 

"Sit, dear," She stated gesturing towards the sofa, "You don't need to be so formal to me."

Jiang Yue nodded as well and sat on the couch. 

Seeing the two interact, Luo Zhelan couldn't help but ran his hand through his hair as he sighed. 

He didn't expect this to happen, it was really too sudden. 

He sat beside Jiang Yue and pushed some of the food container that barely has any food now because he has already ate most of it, "She came here to bring some food for me."

Hearing those words, Jiang Yue offered the food that she just placed on the table, "Have you eaten Auntie? I bought this from the cafeteria."

"I already ate dear. I just came here to talk to my son about something." 

"Ah, then I'll give you privacy," Jiang Yue stated and was just about to stand up when the man beside her stopped her by grabbing her hand. 

"There's no need to leave, it's not something you're not allowed to hear anyway."

"How do you know? Maybe what I'm about to talk you is something that she shouldn't hear." 

"Mom," Luo Zhelan called out, glancing at his mother who has a teasing smile on her face. 

Yuan Ru chuckled, "I'm only kidding my son, I just came here to tell you that the He family is having a banquet this week for Grandpa He's 70th birthday."

Although Yuan Ru could have message him about it, she had decided to visit him as well as she hadn't stepped inside the company for months.

She wanted his son to bring Jiang Yue as his partner, but with how his grandparents and father are still left clueless about his relationship, it would be bad to introduce Jiang Yue in a special occassion like that. 

Even if they plan to tell those three about his son's girlfriend earlier before the banquet, it isn't ideal to rush it and they might even blame the girl for it, which is the last thing Yuan Ru wants. 

Yuan Ru who had thought of it, Luo Zhelan who was her son would also have thought about it. 

Luo Zhelan nodded, "I understand."

The He Family his mother was talking about was the family of Deputy Chief He. 

The Old Master of the He Family was a good friend of his grandfather. 

Yuan Ru still shifted her attention to the girl beside him, "How are you doing my dear? We've met once already."

Jiang Yue who had stayed quiet didn't expect for the woman's attention to shift to her, however she couldn't help but be curious about what she said. 

"I'm doing fine Auntie, I'm just waiting for university classes to start next month," She answered her question, then continued, "Ah, we did? I don't remember meeting you though."

"It was in Rise Paradise Restaurant, I heard you talking to Luo Zhelan on your phone."

Jiang Yue tried to remember and when she finally did, she finally understood what she was talking about. 

So it was at Xifeng's Auntie's restaurant. 

At that time she had called Luo Zhelan to ask for his help for Mao Shi's grandmother. 

"You and Xifeng are close, if I'm correct? She had told me a lot about you." Yuan Ru added, "I was really surprise when she told me you're the Nation's Top Scorer and even the first one to get a perfect score, that is beyond impressive."

"Ah, thank you."

"It really makes me wonder how my son was able to pursue you given that you're smart."

Jiang Yue hearing those words, was speechless. She remembered Luo Zhelan saying that his mother will surely question her for becoming his girlfriend. 

Other mothers are questioning the partners of their children and here's Luo Zhelan's mother questioning if her son is even worth to be her boyfriend. 

Jiang Yue's taut nerves start to relax as the corner of her lips perked up, "Ah Auntie, I think it's the other way around."2

"What do you mean? You're talented, you're smart and you're beautiful, while my son only knows how to work all day long. Now that I know he's in a relationship, it really makes me a lot less anxious."

"Oh, I tend to work a lot too," Jiang Yue couldn't help but say, "I know he's a very busy person, I'm aware of that. But he still manage to take time to play some games just to spend some time with me."

He never made her feel that being his girlfriend was like a distraction to him, making her even more appreciative of everything that he does. 

Yuan Ru hearing her statement, had a smile on her face. Thank goodness her son is doing well in his role as her boyfriend or else the girl wouldn't say those words. 

"I'm happy that it's working for the two of you."

"Thank you Auntie," Jiang Yue added, "Although I'm a little busy too sometimes, I wouldn't forget to set aside some time to spend with him as well."

"Hm.." Yuan Ru nodded, agreeing, "And set aside time for me too my dear. I want to spend time my future-daughter-in-law too."

Luo Zhelan who had been listening to the two, saw Jiang Yue touch the tip of her nose, an action she tend to do when she felt overwhelmed by something.

He had already told his mother to go easy on Jiang Yue yet the girl still felt overwhelmed by her affection. 

"Ah, sure Auntie."

After the two of them talked, Yuan Ru didn't stay that long and bid her goodbye. 

After his mother had left, he turned towards Jiang Yue and apologized, "I'm sorry that must have been to sudden for you. I didn't know she was coming here."

Jisng Yue shook her head, "It's fine, I would still met her sooner, it just happened way earlier."

It was only then she remembered she went there because she was worried Luo Zhelan was upset about those posts and comments about her and Zheng Qingsheng. 

"Was those issues about me and Zheng Qingsheng upsetting you?" She asked. 

Luo Zhelan was taken aback with her question. 

She's asking him if he was upset?

He shook his head but then nodded after a few seconds of contemplation. 

He was clearly upset or else he wouldn't have ordered to take those posts down and delete all those comments.
