Yuan Ru's eyes squinted slightly in response. However, before she could say her thoughts, her husband's voice cut through the air, "If it is Zhelan's matter, then let him deliver the news whenever he deems fit."

This sentiment was promptly echoed by Old Madam Luo, who voiced her agreement, "Indeed, let Ah'Zhe be. If he intended to share this matter, he would have done so already. There must be underlying reasons for his silence."

Luo Lina's face darkened.

She had a deep-seated understanding that their grandparents consistently favored Luo Zhelan over their other grandchildren. This wasn't just something that happened once in a while, it was something that kept happening over the years.

She and Luo Zhelan were just the same age, and although he would then to be compared with her brother, growing up, it was her who was affected the most, witnessing how different the treatment she and her brother, Luo Xin had received.

Luo Lina composed herself and nodded, showing an understanding, "Okay, I was just so excited that Xifeng will finally become a part of the family."

The table fell into a brief silence, caught off guard by her words.

Old Madam Luo sat up straight and asked, "What do you mean, child?"

Although she posed the question, she already had an idea of what her grandchild was alluding to, and her anticipation grew.

Ah, that explains why that girl hasn't visited the villa in a while. She must have been busy dating my grandson!

The realization dawned on her, adding to her excitement.

If this was the happy news her grandson had been keeping secret, she couldn't understand why it was hidden, especially since the girl might feel hurt with it.

Uhm, should I go and get him?" she asked, and had just stood up to fetch Luo Zhelan when Yuan Ru suddenly stated, "There's no need to, just sit down. He'll come back here after a while."

Luo Lina nodded and sat back down.

Old Madam Luo turned her attention to Yuan Ru, a warm smile gracing her face. It was evident that the elderly woman was delighted by the news, "Since our child has spilled the good news, why don't you elaborate a bit more? It seems you're well informed about what's happening between Ah'Zhe and that girl, Xifeng."

Yuan Ru couldn't help but rest her forehead in her hand, releasing a sigh.

How was she going to explain it to them? She can't leave it up to Luo Zhelan who had no idea that his family thought that it was Xifeng who was his girlfriend.

After careful consideration, Yuan Ru said in a firm tone, "It's not Xifeng."

The table once again fell into silence.

The smile on Old Madam Luo's face slowly faded, "What do you mean?"

"Zhelan is in a relationship, but it's not with Xifeng," Yuan Ru replied.

Confusion hung in the air, and old Madam Luo's tone changed, "Explain."

"It's true that Zhelan is in a relationship, but the person is not Xifeng. This is my son's personal affair, and neither mine," she turned her gaze to Luo Lina, her expression stern, "nor your place to discuss. Let him initiate this topic on his own."

Meanwhile, as the Luo Family was engrossed in their conversation about Luo Zhelan, he, on the other hand, was just about to go back when he heard someone talk, prompting him to halt on his place. 

"What brings you here, all by yourself?" 

He turned towards the person and greeted him once again, "Deputy Chief He." 

The Deputy Chief gave a light-hearted response, a glass of alcohol twirling in his hand, "Already tired of the socializing?"

Luo Zhelan raised an eyebrow, retorting, "Are you tired as well?"

After all, as the son of Old Master He, he should also be mingling inside, yet here he was.

With a chuckle, Deputy Chief He strolled closer, his presence casual. "Didn't bring a date?"

Luo Zhelan shook his head. "I haven't introduced her to my family yet."

"But you plan to?" Deputy Chief He probed further.

Luo Zhelan affirmed with a nod, "Absolutely."

"Good, I certainly don't want that chd running rampant again, especially considering how well she's doing now," Deputy Chief He commented, his gaze fixed on the meticulously designed garden, "The two of you being together is the last thing I would have expected. It's even more surprising when I learned that the girl became the Nation's Top Scorer."

The contrast between these two individuals is so stark that the idea of them being together seems implausible.

Aside fron their background that are worlds apart, Luo Zhelan stands at the pinnacle of success, admired by multitude of people for his remarkable accomplishments and leading a billion-dollar company.

Jiang Yue, on the other hand, was the opposite.

She carried a notorious reputation, wreaking havoc in the alleyways during her childhood, fearlessly taking on men much larger than her, and finding herself in police custody on numerous occasions.

She was once the subject of curses due to her behavior, yet several years later, she managed to shock the whole country for being the very first one to achieve a perfect score in the National College Entrance Examination.

These two different people who you'd never think would bump and know each other, are now in a realationship.

Deputy Chief He and Luo Zhelan engaged in conversation for a brief period before a maid approached, informing him that the Old Master He was seeking his presence.1

His mind was preoccupied with Deputy Chief He's words about Jiang Yue. However, his chain of thought was abruptly broken when he noticed another presence in the garden.

It was a female servant.

As she was walking towards him with her back against the light, he couldn't see the servant's face.

Seeing her approach, his brows furrowed and was just about to turn around when he heard her say, "Young Master Luo, I'm here to attend to you."

In that instant, Luo Zhelan found himself frozen in place.
