"Auntie, how is it?" Fu Xifeng asked, waiting for the woman's reaction after taking a bite of the mousse cake in front of her, "Auntie Lei is planning to add it as a new dessert in the restaurant and she asked for my opinion, but I want to ask for yours, so what do you think?"

"Oh dear," Yuan Ru placed the utensils back on the plate and wiped the corner of her lips, "You know that I love anything sweet, so asking me if this should be added as a new dessert is already a foregone conclusion." 

With the woman's words, Fu Xifeng couldn't help but suggest, "Oh, then how about you bring a slice of this to Brother Zhe? Although he likes sweets, he's very picky, so if he approves this, I'll tell Auntie Lei to put it as a new dessert." 

Hearing her son being mentioned, Yuan Ru was just about to bring up the good news that her son was finally pursuing someone when she suddenly remembered that Fu Xifeng had liked her son for years.

Yuan Ru who was still contemplating whether to tell the girl or not, felt even more awful when she saw the girl's bright and innocent smile.

She doesn't want to be the reason for Fu Xifeng's smile to be gone, and she doesn't want to hurt the girl as she had treated Fu Xifeng like her own daughter all these years.

But it's more cruel of her to leave the girl hanging when she knew exactly what was going on.

"Xifeng, I have to tell you something," she said softly, holding the girl's hand.

Fu Xifeng was taken aback by how quickly the atmosphere grew stifling. The woman in front of her always had a beautiful smile on her face, so seeing her so seriously took her by surprise.

"What is it, Auntie?" She asked nervously, "Did something happen?" 

"Dear, I like you, and if I could choose anyone to be my daughter-in-law, it would be you," Yuan Ru began, intending to gradually bring up the topic that Luo Zhelan has someone he likes now. 

She lovingly patted the girl's hands, "But my son is already pursuing someone."

She anticipated the girl in front of her to be stunned, speechless, in disbelief, or perhaps in denial. After all, who wouldn't act in this manner if they knew the person they adore is pursuing someone?

The girl in front of her, on the other hand, did the opposite.

Fu Xifeng's lips perked up into a lovely smile and the next words she said surprised Yuan Ru instead.

"Oh Auntie, I already know that. You're referring to Jiang Yue, right? I've already met her and we're friends so there's no need for you to tell me those words out of pity. Besides, I'm sure if you got to know her, you'd change your mind; she's wonderful— she may appear cold and mean, but she's nice."

Fu Xifeng suddenly remembered something so she removed her hand from the woman's hold and grabbed her phone, "Auntie, have you checked Weibo? Wait, check the news instead. Jiang Yue is the Nation's Top Scorer this time, it was just announced yesterday! And not only that, she scored a perfect score! A perfect score that no one has been able to attain in the past few years!" 

Instead of opening different posts about the National College Entrance Examination, she opened a news article that was published about the Nation's Top Scorer this time with a score of 750 which includes a picture of Jiang Yue taking the examination and handing the phone to Yuan Ru. 

Yuan Ru accepted the phone and with a mind that was still trying to figure out what the girl had just said, her eyes read through the news article's title. 

'Someone got a perfect score?' 

Yuan Ru thought to herself as she couldn't believe it, but when her gaze moved to the image directly below the caption, she was truly astounded this time. 

From the black short hair with fringe to her slender build, it was the same girl that she had seen at the exact place where she is now. 

"What's her name?" 

"Her name is Jiang Yue— Auntie, you don't know her name?" Fu Xifeng asked with widened eyes as she continued with her heart racing because of nervousness, "Auntie you didn't know about her? Were you pertaining to another person? Is Brother Zhe two-timing? Was— was I not supposed to tell you about this?" 

"No, no!" Yuan Ru shouted, patting the girl's hands once more to calm her down. Then she explained to the girl, "I met her and Zhelan confirmed it. I just didn't know her name, and he didn't want to tell me."

Fu Xifeng breathed a sigh of relief, "Thank goodness, my mind started to imagine all these scenarios," she couldn't help but chuckle when she thought about the nonsense she just spewed. 

"How did the two of you become friends?" Yuan Ru couldn't help but question as she couldn't imagine how the two even met. 

Fu Xifeng revealed what happened and how she learned that Luo Zhelan has someone he likes.

"What? She had beaten a lot of people?" Yuan Ru frowned, unable to believe what the girl had just told her.

"Auntie, this matter is already circulating on Weibo, but I don't want you to hear about it from others because they might use it to make you hate Jiang Yue; but yes, she had beaten people, such as what she did on the guy who had inappropriately touched one of my customers."

"Oh," Yuan Ru was the one to breathe out of relief this time, "that was fine, I understand as long as it's not to purely hurt anyone. Why is this circulating on Weibo anyway? This isn't something that should be shared with millions of people."
