These are the thoughts that run through every Xia Family member who heard every word of the waiter. 

The Old Master of the Xia Family narrowed his eyes. 

He had noticed the man beside Jiang Yue long ago and he could tell right away that he is someone from an influential and elite family in the Capital. 

However, he couldn't have guessed that this man was the Young Master of the Luo Family. 

The Luo Family was among the top of the capital's elite families. They hold the largest and most renowned Luo Corporation, which dominates both the medical and technical industries.

Luo Zhelan and Wei Guozhi, also known as Principal Wei, are the heads of their country's Research Organization.

The Old Master was well aware of the impact these two people had on their country and the status of Wei Guozhi and Luo Zhelan. The former is a principal at a prestigious university, while the latter is the President of the Capital's largest corporation.

Both of these people cannot be met or seen anywhere and even Capital University students would consider it a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet Principal Wei because the old man is always busy at the Research Organization and only appears when there are highly important events at the school.

Young Master Luo is considerably more difficult to meet and see than Principal Wei because the old man still has to attend events as a university principal. Luo Zhelan, on the other hand, is under no obligation to attend any gatherings. The man does not even need to socialize at any gathering or function because it is other people who always reached out to him.

These two high-profile yet private individuals are currently in the same building, and what's more astonishing is that they both knew Jiang Yue. Principal Wei appears to be more than an acquaintance for asking her to return and for the Young Master of the Luo Family to stand by her side holding her hand.

The Old Master recognized that in order for the Young Master of the Luo Family to hold the girl's hand, the two must be in a relationship, and he could already foresee the benefits of having that man as his grandson-in-law.

He could have had it all if only the girl didn't cut off relations with them. 

Was it because she thinks the Xia Family is beneath her and now that she has a man like Luo Zhelan to do her bidding, the girl had the courage to go against them?

Jiang Yue hearing the waiter's words, couldn't help but pursed her lips, and in the end, she nodded. 

They had been gone for too long after all, so it was no wonder her Master is already trying to get her to return to the Celebration Dinner. 

"You're Luo Zhelan?" Xia Mingzhou asked, perplexed, as she realized why the man appeared to be the epitome of class and wealth so it turns out he's the Young Master of the Luo Family.

He was the kind of man who could give her what she desired— power and wealth. Yet he was protectively holding Jiang Yue's hand and didn't even bother to shoot her a glance.

"You were the one who gave the order to suppress our company, weren't you?" Xia Zhong asked, catching everyone's attention because it came out of nowhere.

Luo Zhelan turned towards him and merely raise his brow. 

Xia Zhong doesn't even need the man to respond to know that he was the one who gave the order to suppress their company.

He had always questioned why everything was spiraling out of control when they had planned every step for them to open a branch of their company in the Capital. However, things began to go wrong, which didn't matter much at first because it didn't affect their plans, but it soon became worse.

The worst thing that had happened lately was that the owner of the building that they had acquired for their branch backed out of the deal and did not sign it. It wasn't a big deal at first because they could still locate another place, but every building they tried declined.

One is by accident, twice by coincidence, and the third time by an enemy's action.

But what Xia Zhong didn't get was who among their enemies could persuade those people to refuse them. Every building they've visited isn't small and is in the heart of the Capital, so the building owners aren't just nobodies either.

However, it didn't end there. 

One of the major companies that was working with them chose to end the collaboration. When Xia Zhong asked the company's representative at the time, the person only told him to think if he had offended anyone as it wasn't the company's choice but an order from someone. 

He finally understands now.

It was Luo Zhelan, the Young Master of the Luo Family, who had given that order, or who else would have the power and influence to corner them like this? 

"What did our company do for you to act upon it, Young Master Luo?" Xia Zhong questioned, refusing to believe the man did it just for a girl, even if that girl was his niece.

"Why don't you ask your daughter?" Luo Zhelan suggested, nodding toward Xia Mingzhou without even looking at the girl.

"Huh?" Xia Zhong was taken aback because he hadn't expected such a response from him.

"But I— I didn't do anything," Xia Mingzhou said immediately, perplexed by what the man was talking about.

She had no idea what she had done to enrage the Young Master of the Luo Family.

Luo Zhelan finally turned to Xia Mingzhou and coldly answered her question, "Weren't you the one who recorded the video and posted it on Weibo to ruin Jiang Yue and Jiang Xiu's reputation?" 

Because of the man's statements, Xia Mingzhou's face turned pale, and she couldn't help but tighten her fists.

So he made their company suffer simply because she dared to tarnish the Jiang Sister's reputation?

Who even are Jiang Yue and Jiang Xiu for them to receive that kind of treatment from someone like him? 

"I don't care about your company nor your family but the moment any of you decided to lay a hand on Jiang Yue," Luo Zhelan's eyes narrowed at the people in front of him, his frightening aura stifling everyone in his vicinity, "You won't have time to worry about your company because I'll ruin your family."

Jiang Yue tugged on Luo Zhelan's hand, softening his menacing demeanor as he gripped the girl's hand back.

Jiang Yue looked around at the several individuals in front of her with pursed lips and pale faces, then returned her attention to the waiter and said, "We'll go back, thank you for informing us."

The waiter heaved a sigh of relief when he saw that the girl wasn't upset at being disrupted, he gestured for the two to follow them which Jiang Yue and Luo Zhelan did, leaving the reception area without looking back. 

"What are you doing here? Didn't you leave early?" Xia Mingyu asked when he arrived at the reception area of the hotel. 

He had to attend to some business first, so he was late for dinner, but he didn't expect to see his family in the reception area when he arrived.

"No wonder... no wonder everything had gone wrong..." Xia Zhong mumbled to himself, unable to believe what had just occurred.

He turned towards his daughter who had her head lowered, "Mingzhou, what did you do?" 

Xia Mingzhou dumbfoundedly raised her head when her father called her, "Ha?" 

"I said, what did you do?" Xia Zhong asked as he went to his daughter and gripped her arms tightly, "Do you know how much trouble you've got our company into?!" 

"Father, what happened?" Xia Mingyu asked, confused, yet no one answered him.

"Get your hands off my granddaughter!" The Old Master of the Xia Family exclaimed when he saw what his son did.

"Xia Zhong stop that! That isn't your daughter's fault, why are you even blaming her?!" Feng Rong exclaimed as she tried to remove her husband's hand. 

"Shut up! This is because you and Father keep on spoiling her now look what she has done!" Xia Zhong yelled at his wife, prompting Feng Rong to glare at him. 

"Father, you're hurting me," Xia Mingzhou cried out as she felt his father's grip on her arms become tighter.

"You stupid! Who else would I spoil other than our child?! Do you expect me to spoil Jiang Xiu, huh? Isn't this what you're being angry about because our daughter just posted whatever video that was?!" Feng Rong yelled back, "Are you now regretting because you saw that Jiang Yue has gotten that Young Master's backing?!" 

"You—" Xia Zhong gritted his teeth as he was at a loss for words from his wife's statement. 

That wasn't what he meant! 

How could his wife twist his words in such a way!2
