Jiang Yue didn't lose hope and went through the remaining two videos.  1

The third one that she played was more than three and a half years ago, and Feng De went through the same thing again.

However, what was different this time was that Feng De who always had a blank expression on his face, suddenly had a look of determination as though he wasn't the same person just seconds ago. 

Feng De anxiously stood up which he had a hard time at first probably because he hasn't stood up in a long time, then he opened the several drawers on his bedside table as though he was looking for something. 

Jiang Yue could tell that the drawers were empty from the angle of the surveillance, and Feng De who had just gone through them went to the door and tried to open them, however, it was locked.

He then started to pound on the door while screaming. 

"Is anyone out there?! Please?! Just give me some pen and paper! I don't want to forget about this!" Feng De hysterically yelled while pounding on the door, causing both Jiang Yue and Sunshine's foreheads to crease. 

The man in the footage probably realized that it might take time for people to arrive in his room so he looked around, and he suddenly looked up to where the surveillance camera was placed. 

Jiang Yue's gaze met with Feng De's on the footage, and she felt as though the man was looking at her. 

Feng De who was banging on the door, stopped and went closer to the surveillance camera. 

"I am Feng De, I am not from Country Z but from Country F! I stayed there for the first 28 years of my life and I was a—" Feng De wasn't able to finish his words as he grabbed his head once again and yelled out of pain, "—AHHH!" 

"I was... I was a— AHHH!" Feng De tried to continue with what he was saying and looked back at the surveillance camera, but he couldn't because the pain was too much for him to bear. 

He lay on the floor and crouched his whole body, which made him look vulnerable which made Sunshine, who was used to seeing patients experience different kinds of pain, pity the man.

Then he started to pound his head on the floor and Jiang Yue who was used to seeing blood, couldn't help but grimace when she saw how the man's head started to bleed from his pounding. 

The two nurses and the doctor who they had seen from the two previous videos, showed up once and again and stopped Feng De from pounding his head. 

This time, Jiang Yue noticed how the two nurses were nervous and frantic about what to do, which was completely different from how they acted in the first video they had seen. 

"Doctor Zhuan what should we do? This is the first time that this happened to him!" The female nurse anxiously asked while Feng De continued to yell. 

The doctor merely replied, "Hold him down," and injected something into Feng De's arm.

"What do you think they injected him with?" Jiang Yue couldn't help but ask the woman beside him. 

"Probably Butorphanol," Sunshine answered with her eyes fixed on the screen of the laptop. 

Feng De who had been behaving madly and hysterically just a while ago, started to become weak and have that blank expression on his face again after more than ten minutes.

Jiang Yue, after watching that footage finally had an idea of what was happening to Feng De. 

And this time, she's sure that what the man is going through is the same as his father's. 

And everything that she had known about her father's condition all this time, might not be correct.

"Is there any drug that makes a person forget certain memories, and when they remember about it they get severe pain in their head?" Jiang Yue asked Sunshine, to which the woman shook her head in answer. 

"There isn't anything like that in the market right now. There are studies about amnesia-inducing drugs but it isn't like what you describe, as it only disrupts the memory. But I think there is something similar..." 

Jiang Yue turned her head to the woman beside her, "What is it?"

"Alcohol. It makes you forget certain memories and when you try to remember the next morning, your head is pounding." 

Jiang Yue didn't know if her friend was joking because Sunshine stated those words with such a serious expression. 

"But just because it isn't in the market doesn't mean that it isn't created yet," Jiang Yue uttered. 

"Do you think it's caused by a drug that makes him forget about what happened and when he tries to remember, it causes severe pain on his head?" Sunshine asked to which Jiang Yue nodded. 

"Doesn't necessarily mean that it's a drug but the effect is something along those lines. Not only that, but I think it affects his cerebrum, which causes him to be unresponsive— it's similar to being in a vegetative state. He can't process his thoughts and behave in a normal manner yet everything else is normal. It's exactly like my father's case, but it might not be what we thought it was." Jiang Yue stated which caused Sunshine to be astonished as she didn't expect her last sentence.

Sunshine had known about Jiang Yue's father since the girl asked for her help to check on him and she did. 

That was a year after they had met and at that time, Jiang Guo had just woken up from a coma and was diagnosed in a vegetative state. 

Her diagnoses were the same as the other doctors so she wasn't much of a help but she knows and remembers until to this day the details about Jiang Yue's father's condition. 

"What do you mean?" Sunshine asked, confused. 

However, Jiang Yue didn't reply and merely played the last video they hadn't seen among the four footage. 

The fourth footage was taken more than five years ago, and Feng De in the video looks similar to the photo they had of him, as the man was only admitted to the hospital a year before the footage was taken.

What happened to Feng De this time was a bit different from the previous three. 

Feng De didn't experience the excruciating pain in his head this time, instead, another person visited him— a very familiar person to Jiang Yue.
