New Generations' Emergence (IV)

----2

For a moment, Nadida was silent as she didn't quite know the answer to Soren's question. On one side, she did receive this strength because it finally completed all of its preparations, but on the other hand, she still didn't understand what criterion existed for someone to be hailed as a Paragon. Thus, even now, she wasn't too sure if she fulfilled all of the requirements to call herself a Paragon.

After all, the description given inside the council room was extremely vague in her eyes. Sure, they briefly mentioned the Spiritual Mind, but they didn't thoroughly detail other matters involving a Paragon. Thus, Nadida looked at Soren skeptically before rubbing her chin in thought.

"Are you asking me if I'm a Paragon?" Nadida questioned. She didn't tense up in her current situation because it was evident from Soren's behavior and stance that he wasn't hostile. In fact, it was the exact opposite. He felt relief that another individual on the battlefield awakened a power capable of offering extra reassurance in this chaotic war.

"Correct, that could be the simplified version of my question. In essence, I'm asking if you've done these five things. One, have you melded your Soul Temple and Spirit Root together, resulting in a drastic increase in both power and reserve quantity? Secondly, have you been briefed on two techniques known as Spiritualization and Avatar Form? Lastly, has your Spirit revealed something known as a Spiritual Mind, which is a manifestation of the power you'll be granted in extreme moments?" Soren questioned, unloading each question without a single pause.

Perhaps if it were anyone else, they'd be overwhelmed by the fervent questioning of one of the Three Heavens. However, it was a different story for Nadida, who had experienced the confidence booster of receiving a small fragment of Aethelia's power.

"Um… yes. I believe so," Nadida answered after a short moment. While all of this was true for her, she didn't reveal the fact that she possessed another technique, the Soul Coalescence, since Soren didn't appear to mention it. It was unknown if he wasn't aware of this technique or just overlooked it altogether; either way, if Soren didn't address it openly, Nadida had no reason to expose everything about herself.

Even more so since she wasn't a direct member of any of the Supreme Families, meaning she wasn't required to reveal much information regarded as personal. She simply needed to remain loyal in her actions.

"Very well. Judging by the fluctuations of energy and your utilization of your powers, it's safe to assume that you're a combat type. And your Spiritual Cultivation, what level is it at?" Soren wondered while trying to analyze the aura around Nadida.

Although he tried as best as possible to pinpoint her cultivation base, Soren came up empty-handed with every attempt. Thus, it was almost impossible for him to tell what level she had reached.

"I'm a Spirit L-..."

Right when she was about to answer, Nadida suddenly paused. Her eyes widened in shock as she revisited the state of her Soul Temple. Compared to her power right before she met with Aethelia, she was at the peak of the Spirit Master Realm, just a step away from becoming a Spirit Lord. However, it held an incomparable vastitude when she looked at it now!

Aethelia's earlier words seemed to cover more ground than Nadida previously assumed. As for the reason of her shock, it was because her Soul Temple had skipped over the Spirit Lord level and evolved right into a Soul Temple belonging to a Soul Emperor!

Regardless of the fact that this wasn't the strongest realm possible, Nadida was simply shocked that her Soul Temple skipped an entire grade. This revelation eventually led to Nadida questioning the possibility of Aethelia's words being the truth. After all, this is the benefit she received from the beginning stages with the energy supplied by the Ethereal Elements Abode was akin to a trickle!

Soon enough, Nadida recovered, returning to a stable mindset as she cleared her throat and spoke in a clear tone. "I'm a Spirit Emperor."

Based on Soren's expression, it was clear her revelation mystified him. He immediately felt this girl was too young to hold that type of cultivation in her body. But, after recalling the effects of a completed Spiritual Mind, Soren wondered how strong her Spiritual Mind would be graded if they had one.

'We all receive some type of Spiritual Boost based on the power of our Spirit's true soul. However, if I'm not mistaken, this girl exuded a pressure amongst the Lord ranking in terms of body and soul when we had our meeting. Though that was only a year ago, that's too little time to gain such a huge boost in strength. More importantly, I can't forget her expression of shock. That alone is confirmation that this recently took place,' Soren thought to himself with an unusually intrigued expression.

The situation was all perplexing, but after speaking with Nadida, Soren was now sure that Nadida should be one of those who forced a personal change by relying upon the will to survive and/or be stronger.

Suddenly, Soren gazed narrowed as he spread his arm to the side and released an intangible pulse. As if responding to some type of call, Gaelbolg first stopped moving then traveled back to Soren at speeds, causing a string of deafening sonic booms. By the time it arrived before Soren, it slowed to almost a pause, allowing Soren to effortlessly snatch it out of the air.

"Now that you've awakened some strength, get ready to use it," Soren said in a severe tone. In the next moment, he turned his head to the side and watched as a tremendous wave of Rank 4 Terrors stampeded towards these two on the far side of the battlefield.

The vast dust cloud trailing the stampede indicated this wave consisted of at least a few hundred thousand Rank 4 Terrors. That was a number that would induce fear in any ordinary soldier. One step and most of the soldier would be reduced to a bloodstain on the ground.

Fortunately, neither Nadia nor Soren fell into this category. Ripples of arcane energy surfaced around both of their bodies as Soren stimulated five symbols on Gaelbolg. Conversely, crackles of the triple-colored sparked around Nadida's body while crystalline water drops surfaced as well.

The astral glow of her hair deepened another degree in light of these actions, but Nadida remained calm. According to her knowledge, the Ethereal Elements Abode didn't release a denser flow; her body had just accumulated some energy while talking to Soren.

Even then, the abnormal accumulation left Nadida astonished. In the end, the talk between Nadida and Soren lasted no more than a few minutes. So, accumulating enough energy to the point, her body felt saturated was shocking! Nadida could only wonder how dense the power she presently wielded if it could fill her vessel this fast.

Unfortunately, Nadida didn't have the time to explore these curiosities. Her thought process was interrupted when Soren dashed forward, exploding with momentum like a bullet leaving a gun. A gust of violent wind assaulted Nadida, but she guarded herself in time to witness a frightening scene.

Soren's spear claimed the life of a Terror effortlessly before even arriving before the enemy crowd. Simply wielding his spear caused arcs of arcane energy and massive spear beams bolstered by his Spear Intent to assail the stampede.

The first layer of Terrors were mowed down instantly, but this one layer seemed inconsequential compared to the astronomical amount of Terrors approaching them. Be that as it may, Soren wasn't deterred by the numbers. In fact, a fighting spirit blazing in his eyes as the Intent emanating from his body in wisps intensified greatly.

Gaelbolg's sixth simple lit up as Soren casually walked towards the stampede. Soren seemed like an inconsequential figure when going up against the colossal physique of a Terror. However, when his Intent continued to intensify, it gave off the false impression of Soren turning into some kind of titan wielding an archaic spear. His battle spirit was powerful enough to affect the onlooker's senses.

Meanwhile, Nadida finished murmuring what sounded like a brief incantation. A short while later, a colossal thundercloud appeared above the stampede, followed by a tempest of extremely violent winds. Next, crystalline raindrops fell from the clouding, adopting a sword shape as they grew closers to the ground.

By the time they fell, a few thunderclaps sounded followed by an absurd amount of lightning strikes. The lightning strikes were accompanied by three tornadoes rotating in a clockwise manner. Any Terror that approached the vicinity of the enormous tornados were shredded to bits while others were zapped out of existence.

Soren took a moment to relish Nadida's shocking attack and smiled. 'She has the making to be one of us in the future. As long as she continues to grow stronger, it is only a matter of time until she reaches our level in terms of attack power.'

Aside from her reserves, Nadida's attacks only annihilated half of the numbers that Soren's did. However, they exhaust more energy in comparison to Soren's attack. This alone indicated the difference in their attack power. Perhaps if Nadida could wield more of this arcane energy that'd be a different story.

Nevertheless, these two turned into two behemoths of death on the battlefield. So long as their reserves sufficed, they should be fighting a winning battle. At least… that's what they hoped for.

They weren't aware of the situation that happened not too long ago. For the first time, Giden managed to call the Grand Masters to action, a feat not many others could do! Regrettably, it was unknown what could come of this call to action.
