Should Roulan Talk To Mo Chen?

The next morning, Mo Roulan woke up and went to the dining room.2

Mo Chen was already seated there. She wished good morning to her mother and brother. After that, She tried to initiate some conversation with her brother.

Mo Chen talked but there was a great difference between how he sued to talk and how he talked now.

Mo Roulan could no longer find that childish innocence in her brother. He suddenly looked more mature, more intelligent…as if he had grown up in the span of just one night.

He would rarely smile at the things he used to smile before and she would only make out a fool of herself when she would laugh alone anticipating him to laugh with her as he would look at her with a weird expression on his face.

Silently saying 'how can you laugh at such a stupid thing'. 

She was confused as she looked at Mo Chen's leaving back. 

The first thing she did after Mo Chen left was to go to his room and check his study table. And Mo Roulan was surprised when she indeed found the books that children of Mo Chen's age would not be able to study.

Those thick books of physics, chemistry, and different languages…some of them she herself couldn't understand so how her brother was able to read it.

She wondered as she traced the marked places from a pencil with her fingers. 

What was going on?!

Mo Roulan wondered silently.

Her mind was a mess of confusion when she reached down and walked to Cheng Yang who was leaning against the car waiting for her.

"What's wrong?"

Cheng Yang asked when he saw the weird expression on her face.

Mo Roulan sighed and told him.

"I saw the books you had mentioned."

Cheng Yang nodded his head and then chuckled when he saw her face again.

"Why do you look so worried? You should be happy that you have such a capable brother. I am sure the way he is going now if he stayed like this…then he would never suffer in the future."

However, Mo Roulan shook her head. Her eyes were still filled with confusion. She looked at Cheng Yang and said

"You don't understand, I am worried because I know that Mo Chen should not be able to read those books. Something is wrong…something is definitely wrong, Cheng Yang. He is not like before. How can he read those books when no one ever taught him those languages and those formulas….he should not be able to understand them. He is my brother so I knew what is his level. Though he is intelligent…this is very doubtful. I don't even know how should I find out what is going on with him? Will it affect him if I asked him?"

Cheng Yang had not thought that this matter was this serious but now looking at Mo Roulan's worry-filled eyes, he could sense that this matter was not simple for her.

He raised his hand to put his arm around her shoulder to comfort her. However, he halted amidst his movement when he heard her whispering

"Should I ask Mr. He to investigate?"

Cheng Yang stiffened.

Just yesterday, he was thinking that he would not let Mo Roulan ever think that she needed to depend on He Jian for everything.

How could he not feel this way when he heard her words! He felt very bitter.

However, Cheng Yang didn't know that Mo Roulan was also still considering this option. Her equation with He Jian had been very awkward after the latter had come to know that she was dating Cheng Yang so she didn't really want to ask him for any kind of help.

However, it was the question of her brother and she didn't think that she had some other way. 

It was only when she felt a touch on her shoulder, Mo Roulan came out of her trance.

"You should ask your brother about this, Roulan."

Mo Roulan raised her head and looked at Cheng Yang.   

Should she? She wondered silently.

However, Cheng Yang's next words made her doubts diminish.

"Some things should be talked about directly …at least when you and Mo Chen are siblings. It is not good that you are investigating everything about him through some other person. He is your brother…not some person who has done anything wrong. At such times, he needs you. Maybe he is afraid to tell you something and that's why hiding from you but if you will initiate, he might tell you everything." 

Mo Roulan found Cheng Yang's words very reasonable. At the same time, she was a little disappointed in herself, she didn't see through the things this way.

When did she start to think this way?

At every turn, she was investigating her brother instead of talking to him directly.

But another part of her heart was afraid that Mo Chen would not tell her anything. However, there was nothing wrong in trying, right?

If she couldn't find anything then she would be left with this way only that she had thought of before.

Thinking this, Mo Roulan felt a huge burden lifting off her shoulders. She will talk to her brother this evening.

She smiled at Cheng Yang and whispered 

"Thank you."

"No need."

Cheng Yang said with a smile on his lips as he pushed her gently towards the door of the front seat. His one hand went to open the door was her and then on the top of the entrance to protect her head as he said

"Now let's go otherwise, you will get late."

Mo Roulan nodded her head and sat inside the car.

As she waited for Cheng Yang to start the car, the smile never left her lips.

Again she couldn't help but think that she made the right choice.

Everyone was moving on. He Jian will also find his happiness in some time with Shen Yiling…just as he did in her past life.

She also deserved a chance to move on, right?
