Mo Roulan Is Happy!

He Jian was looking at Ye Dan who had just said that his team didn't make those designs. Wu Mei who heard Ye Dan's words looked at him sharply. 

She was aware that the designs didn't belong to the team and she also didn't make them. However, she had already accepted in front of the client that it was she who made them. Now if Ye Dan told Mr. He everything then would she left with any face?

"Yes, Boss. It was me who prepared these designs."

Wu Mei said softly and glared at Ye Dan again. 

However, Ye Dan ignored her completely this time. 

Although he was afraid that it would create some obstacles for him in the company during his internship, he didn't want to lie. He was not that dense and ungrateful. 

It was because of Mo Roulan, they could get this project and were not scolded by the boss. It was she who deserved all the credit, not Wu Mei. 

"Boss, I got these designs from Mo Roulan."

The office was silent for a moment when Ye Dan uttered these words. The team members looked at Mo Roulan with amazement while Wu Mei was glaring at Ye Dan as if she wanted to kill him then and there. 

She didn't know who this Mo Roulan was, however, she knew that she was not left with any face after this. 

He Jian's eyes flashed with surprise when he heard Ye Dan's words and suddenly looked at the girl standing a step away from him. 

Seeing the distance between them, he felt slightly displeased, however, when he remembered those designs, he felt proud as well. 

"Did you make them?"

His voice was comparatively gentle when he asked this question from Mo Roulan. Everyone including Wu Mei sensed this change. 

She looked at Mo Roulan with a frown on her forehead. 

On the other hand, Mo Roulan felt slightly embarrassed because of so many eyes on herself. She tried to keep her calm and said 

"That…Mr. He, I only made the jewellery designs."

And the jewellery designs were especially liked by the client.  He Jian nodded his head as he looked at the calm girl with gentle eyes, however, when he turned to look at Wu Mei, his eyes were again covered with a thin layer of frost that he usually has. 

"Why did you lie, Ms. Wu?"

Wu Mei felt a shiver running down her spine when she heard He Jian'c cold voice. She wanted to answer calmly but she stuttered when she spoke 

"That …Mr. He….I actually …I thought it would not look good if no one came to say the truth….Yes…"

However, He Jian only looked at her coldly. 

How could he not see that she was lying. 

"You are fired."

It took him only a moment to utter this word and Wu Mei's whole face went ashen. 

"Mr. He…"

She shouted loudly making He Jian look at her sharply.

Whosoever would try to take away anything from his Lanlan didn't deserve to stay around him or her. 

"You can leave."

He said mercilessly. 

Ye Dan and his team members were filled with joy when they heard He Jian's words. Wu Mei had wanted to plead but when He Jian threatened her to call the security and drag her out, she didn't have any choice but to leave. 

Being dragged out would be utterly humiliating. 

Mo Roulan was slightly shocked by whatever happened. Truthfully, she didn't think that there was need to fire Wu Mei, however, since He Jian was the one to decide all this, she ought to keep her thoughts to herself. 

After this, He Jian left the meeting room and she silently followed him. 

When they were inside the office, He Jian suddenly turned around and Mo Roulan stopped walking before she could bump against him. 

However, she was slighlt surprised because he stopped so suddenly. 

Looking at her silly expression, He Jian couldn't help but smile. However, when he remembered what happened in the meeting room, his face went serious and he asked her 

"Do you like to design jewellery?"

  "Yes."

Mo Roulan's eyes were bright when she answered this question. He Jian had seen that brightness in her black brown eyes after a very long time. 

For a moment, he felt dazed. 

"You never told me."

He couldn't help but say. 

If he knew that she liked it so much then he would have not shifted her to do this job. Seeing how bright she looked, he knew that only the job of designing jewellery could make her happy. 

How come he didn't know this about his girlfriend?

He Jian felt very displeased suddenly especially when Mo Roulan shrugged and said 

"You never asked."

Yes, he never asked. 

"That is very irresponsible of me."

He said seriously making Mo Roulan look at him with surprise. 

"We should get to know each other more."

When He Jian said to her these words so seriously, Mo Roulan felt as if he was saying something that was very necessary for their life. 

She couldn't help but nod before she realise what she was agreeing to.

"Ah…this…"

However, before she could back away, He Jian nodded his head and said 

"Since you agree, we will go on a date today and get to know each other more."

And after that, he turned around and busied himself with some documents. Mo Roulan looked at him with narrowed eyes. 

She could see that He Jian was changing very much. She had never thought he could also behave like this. 

However, much of the fault was hers. 

Why does her stupid brain stop working in his presence?

She scolded herself as she left the office to get the file He Jian asked her for. She thought of making some excuse regarding this date.  1

However, when Mo Roulan was about to go back to the office, Chu Feng came and informed her that from now on, she would be working in designing department. 

For a moment, Mo Roulan thought that she heard wrong but when Chu Feng repeated his words, there was a wide smile on her lips. 

Chu Feng took the file from her hands and said that he would give it to the boss and asked her to shift there immediately. 

Mo Roulan was so happy that she forgot everything about the so-called date. 

Collecting her things happily, she went to the designing department. 

She could finally do what she actually wanted to do!
