Lin Qianru's Answer

Mo Roulan didn't stay in the hospital for the whole night.

She didn't know why but she felt as if Shen Youlin was trying to avoid her. She looked more dependent on her brother. 

As much as this made Mo Roulan upset, she tried to put herself in Shen Youlin's place and thought that perhaps it would not be the right time to talk to Shen Youlin. 

Perhaps she was guilty of hiding all this from her. 

Thinking this, Mo Roulan decided to leave the hospital. She didn't want any kind of pressure to be there on Shen Youlin. Already aware of whatever kind of comments were being passed on Shen Youlin, she didn't want to be another pressure on Shen Youlin. 

However, before leaving she did tell Shen Youlin that whenever she wanted, she could call her. Shen Youlin, however, didn't look at her at all. 

Disappointed, Mo Roulan left with He Jian. 

As Shen Youlin looked at the closed her, her eyes were filled with loneliness. 

"Why did you not ask her to stay if that was what you wanted?"

She heard her brother asking her. In response, she whispered more likely to herself. 

"She is still the same as me." 

"Yes, that should make you happy, Youlin. Roulan doesn't mind all this."

Shen Weisheng said gently to his sister. However, Shen Youlin's face was serious upon hearing these words and she whispered 

"But that scares me."

Because it increases her hope.

The next morning, Mo Roulan still woke up at the time. 

When she went to the kitchen to help her mother, she was confused to see her mother so lost. 

"Mom, is there something wrong?"

Mo Roulan asked her mother as she helped her cut the vegetables. 

Lin Qianru came out of her trance and looked at her daughter for a few moments. And then she shook her head. 

Mo Roulan wanted to ask more but she didn't get any chance to do that. 

Her mother left even before her. 

Standing outside the Chi Mansion, Lin Qianru was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't get to know when half an hour had already passed since she had been standing there. 

"Qianru"

A voice sounded in her ears and she looked at the source of the voice. 

It was none other than Chi Rong. 

Her body went stiff when she saw him …or should she say the concern in his eyes as he walked towards her and asked 

"How long have you been standing here?"

Chi Rong asked with disapproval-filled eyes when he saw the beads of sweat on her forehead. 

The sun was on the head and she was standing here like this. 

Looking at her dazed and stiff face, he sighed as he said gently 

"Come inside. It is not good for your health to stand outside like this."

Saying this, he also turned around to leave. 

Chi Rong had wanted to ask her if she thought about his proposal but seeing how lost she looked, he thought that it was best not to talk about that matter for now.

Actually, he already had a guess inside his heart that Lin Qianru would refuse him. He was afraid that she would try to resign and that would close even the option of seeing her every day in his mansion. 

So he decided to behave as if he never proposed to her just to make her comfortable and to ensure her that she need not resign. 

However, he had taken only a step forward when he felt his hand being held suddenly. 

Feeling the soft touch, his body went rigid and his eyes flickered with shock. 

And then within a moment, he was facing another shock.

"Mr. Chi, I accept your proposal. I am ready to marry you."

  Shen Yiling revealed Shen Youlin's secret because she was angry at Shen Youlin. However, it didn't decrease her frustration regarding the fact that Mo Roulan and He Jian were dating each other. 

She wished that she had some dark secret of Mo Roulan. 

A secret using which she could make He Jian hate Mo Roulan. 

However, she couldn't find any such secret until that morning, Shi Fengju called her and told her

"Yiling, you were right. Mo Roulan is not as good as she shows herself to be."

Shen Yiling was surprised and immediately asked Shi Fengju what he meant. Shi Fengju, however, asked her to cut the call and watch the video he was going to send to her. 

Within a few moments, Shen Yiling received a video from Shi Fengju. 

As she watched the video, a smirk played on her lips. 

This was her tool to separate He Jian and Mo Roulan. 

A moment later, she called Shi Fengju and asked him to do something to which the latter agreed.

That evening, Shi Fengju suddenly messaged in the group and asked He Jian to bring Mo Roulan with him. He said that he had been wrong in the past and that…he wanted to improve his mistakes. 

He Jian frowned and looked at the message for a long time. 

Considering his long friendship with Shi Fengju, he typed 'Alright'. 

Anyway, he would be there with Lanlan. If Shi Fengju said or did something wrong then he would immediately take Mo Roulan away.  1

Thinking this, He Jian sent another message to Mo Roulan but remembering how she had been trying to avoid him on their previous date, he suddenly deleted the message.

He should just take her there directly. 

He Jian nodded his head to himself and then continued to do his work. 

Hence, as planned by him, he took Mo Roulan to the restaurant where the get-together was planned. 

When Mo Roulan came out of the car, she was surprised to see that they were not at the apartment building. She looked at He Jian with narrowed eyes who merely coughed. 

Seeing him silent, she sighed as she thought that it was perhaps another date. 

As she remembered He Jian's words from last time about how they should get to know each other since they are dating, Mo Roulan felt it was slightly funny. 

Seeing him making so much effort to make this relationship work, she was scared that she would start to believe that he really loved her. 

Which was not true at all. 

She came out of her thoughts when He Jian held her hand and led her inside the restaurant. 

However, when they reached the private room and He Jian opened the door for her to step inside, Mo Roulan froze seeing the people sitting inside the room. 

After all, that was not something she was expecting to see.
