Chi Rong Gets To Know Everything

4Chi Rong was very worried as he anxiously paced outside the hospital room. He had already texted his friend who was the doctor and owner of this hospital to come as soon as possible. 

"Doctor, how is she?"

Chi Rong asked the female doctor who had just stepped out of the hospital room. 

The female doctor looked at Chi Rong as she adjusted her spectacles.

"Mr. Chi, it is very normal for Miss Lin to collapse suddenly in her situation. That's why I suggested immediate treatment. Though the chances of being saved are less, seven out of a hundred people still get treated completely by the end of treatment."

Chi Rong was shocked and confused by whatever the doctor was saying. 

"Treatment…what treatment are you talking about? What did you suggest?"

The doctor looked at Chi Rong with a frown on her forehead and said 

"Did you not see the report the hospital sent you a few days ago?"

The doctor remembered the result of Lin Qianru's test as she had herself done it and she had been asked by her superior to do it with extra attention. 

Chi Rong was still unable to understand anything and said 

"I did…there was nothing wrong. Was not…."

Chi Rong suddenly stopped amidst his words as he realized that he actually never saw the report. Lin Qianru said she received it and told him that there was nothing wrong and she just needed some rest.

However, he never saw the report himself. 

Chi Rong's heart was beating fast as he asked the doctor 

"What was in the report?"

And when the doctor told him, his face went pale and his heart sank down to the bottomless pit.

Lin Qianru blinked to adjust to the brightness of the room and then slowly opened her eyes. 

She was confused for a moment when she saw the white walls and realized that she was in the hospital. Then she suddenly remembered that she had been feeling pain. 

Did she lose her consciousness again? 

And she was again with Chi Rong.

Panic filled her heart and she tried to get up from the bed. But a hand on her shoulder suddenly pushed her down. 

"Lie down."

A calm voice fell in her ears. 

She was surprised to see Chi Rong whom she didn't notice till now.

He was just seated on the chair beside the bed. 

"Do you need water?"

Chi Rong asked Lin Qianru. Before she even said yes, he filled the glass. Lin Qianru noticed everything silently. 

She noticed that Chi Rong looked calm…too calm that it made her nervous. 

"Mr. Chi"

She whispered but he suddenly moved towards the bed and then helped her in drinking water so she could only shut down. 

Chi Rong put down the glass a while later but he didn't remove his hands from Lin Qianru's shoulders. 

Lin Qianru felt that the posture they were in was very ambiguous. Her back was against his chest and she was completely leaning on him. 

She tried to move forward as she felt uncomfortable but Chi Rong's grip on her shoulder tightened not letting her move. 

Lin Qianru was shocked by his actions. Just when she pondered on what happened to him, she heard him ask

"Qianru, do you not trust me at all?"

"No, I do."

Lin Qianru didn't know why he asked her such a question but the answer was obviously no. If she didn't trust Chi Rong then would she ever think of leaving her children by his side?

She was about to ask him what happened when she heard him say something which shocked her to the core. 

"Then why did you not tell me that you had stomach cancer?"

The whole ride back to the building was silent. 

Lin Qianru didn't dare to say anything and Chi Rong never said anything. In utter silence, she opened the door of the car and stepped out. 

Never realizing how the man sitting inside the car wiped his eyes as he looked at her back. 

That night, she couldn't sleep at all. 

The next morning, she woke up early and went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. She wondered if she should go out to look for a new job today or if she should rest because she was feeling very weak. 

The doorbell rang suddenly bringing her out of her trance. Lin Qianru was confused. 

It was just seven in the morning. 

She just woke up her children. Who could be there at such a time?

Lin Qianru exited the kitchen to open the door. However, another surprise awaited her when she opened the door. 

"You didn't get ready?"

Lin Qianru looked at Chi Rong who said these words. 

"Ready?..."

She whispered as she looked at him and then at his clothes. 

He was looking quite handsome and it could be seen that he had put special effort into getting ready. 

On the other hand, Chi Rong's face was not good as he looked at Lin Qianru and said 

"Did you forget, Qianru? We are going to get the marriage certificate today? The bureau is far away from there. I told you to get ready by now so that we could leave early."

Lin Qianru looked at Chi Rong with blank eyes.  1

It was a moment later that she whispered 

"Marriage certificate…"

He still wanted to marry her?

She thought that there was no chance that he would marry her after whatever happened yesterday. But he was here. 

Just when she was thinking all this…Lin Qianru felt a hand on her shoulder.

"Mom you can go with Uncle Chi. I will make the breakfast."

It was Mo Roulan who said this. She greeted Chi Rong politely who smiled and even patted her head in a fatherly manner. Though it made Mo Roulan feel awkward, she kept the smile on her face intact. 

"No need to make breakfast, Roulan. I had asked the butler to send breakfast for you and Chenchen. It will be here soon. I will make sure that your mother will also have something."

Mo Roulan could only nod her head. 

And Lin Qianru was dragged out of the apartment by Chi Rong in a daze.
