One Month Aniversary

Seated on the table, Shen Youlin looked at the girl in front of her with a slightly blank look. 

"Miss Song, What are you doing here?"

She asked finally. 

It had been almost five days since she had last seen Song Xinyi. It was on the day when the latter had said that she would pursue her from now on. 

However, she found it hard to believe and was sure that Song Xinyi was not serious when she didn't see the latter for the next few days. 

But today…She was left surprised by her sudden appearance. Her eyes went to bandage on Song Xinyi's forehead which was now small compared to the one that wrapped her whole forehead a few days back. 

She had come to know about the news which said that it was her father only who had planned the accident which almost killed Song Xinyi. Looking at Song Xinyi, Shen Youlin couldn't help but think how they were alike to a great extent. 

Both of them were despised by the people in their lives who are supposed to love them unconditionally. 

"How are you?"

Song Xinyi smiled softly as she asked Shen Youlin. Her eyes drank Shen Youlin like a thirsty bird. In the past few days, she couldn't go to see Shen Youlin because she had been busy with some other matters. 

Today, when she finally had some time and reached Shen Wiesheng's mansion she had seen Shen Youlin coming out of the mansion and hence followed her. 

"I am fine."

Shen Youlin answered politely. She couldn't ignore Song Xinyi when the latter was behaving so gently. There were not many people in her life who talked to her like this. 

However, she was startled when she suddenly heard Song Xinyi say 

"I am proud of you, Youlin. You are very strong."

Song Xinyi had been thinking of some ways to help Shen Youlin to step out of the mansion and hence she was surprised to see that Youlin was ready to do it on her own. 

On the other hand, Shen Youlin also seemed to understand what Song Xinyi was talking about. 

She could only nod her head silently. 

Was she strong? Shen Youlin didn't think so. If she was strong then she would have gone to her college to collect her results but she didn't have that much courage. 

Song Xinyi's smile wavered when she saw her so lost. She licked her lips and said suddenly 

"So when are you free?"

Her question successfully distracted Shen Youlin who looked at her in confusion and asked 

"Why?"

Song Xinyi narrowed her eyes and said pointedly 

"Did you forget? I told you that I am pursuing you from now on. We are going to go on a date where I will propose to you in the end you will agree to…"

"Wait, wait wait…"

Shen Youlin stopped Song Xinyi's fast forward imagination immediately and said 

"I am not going anywhere with you. It was you who said everything. I never agreed to be pursued."

However, she had never thought that Song Xinyi would shamelessly shrug her shoulders and say 

"You don't need to."

Shen Youlin looked at the girl in front of her with her mouth agape. She had always been the one with eloquent responses but Song Xinyi left her behind in this. 

Song Xinyi smiled smugly when she saw her like this. She leaned forward and said 

"Tonight, be ready. I will pick you and we will go on a date, alright Linlin?" 

  "Linlin?"

Shen Youlin whispered and swallowed looking at the gentle pair of eyes. How to say….no one had ever looked at her so gently! 

Song Xinyi smiled at her reaction. At the same time, a flicker of sadness flashed in her eyes as she remembered how in their past life the same girl used to get angry at her when she didn't use to call her Linlin. 

"Yes, Linlin."

She ruffled Shen Youlin's hair slightly before standing up to leave.

"Call me if you need anything."

Shen Youlin made a face annoyed at her hair being ruffled and didn't respond. 

Song Xinyi smiled. She sighed as she told her girl

"I need to leave. Today is court hearing." 

Shen Youlin looked at Song Xinyi's calm face and nodded her head silently. She didn't know what she should say but she knew what Song Xinyi might be feeling. She needs to stand against her own father in court today. 

In the end, she could only say

"Take care."

But even these two words filled Song Xinyi's heart with joy.

It was evening and Mo Roulan was sitting inside He Jian's car as they were returning from the office. 

However, she was confused when the car stopped suddenly. Raising her head to look out of the window, she saw that they were in front of Chi Mansion and turned to look at He Jian. 

However, He Jian had already stepped out of the car and walked to another side to open the door.

Opening the door, he forwarded his hand in Mo Roulan's direction and said 

"Come, Lanlan."

Mo Roulan looked at the hand before she placed her own on it. Standing outside the car, when she looked at the restaurant she suddenly had a guess inside her heart.

"Are we…"

"On a date. Yes"

He Jian answered his girlfriend with a gentle smile on his lips. Having his arm around her he held her waist and moved toward the entrance. 

Mo Roulan looked down at her clothes and wondered why the man never told her about the date. She smiled lightly when the manager came and greeted them. 

Everything seemed to be already planned. She thought when she saw the empty restaurant. 

As she saw the beautiful decorations, she couldn't help but smile. He Jian was happy when he saw this. 

He considerately walked and pulled the chair for her. After she seated comfortably, he walked to the other side and sat. 

The waiter came soon and he let her order the dishes. As he looked at her all this while, he wondered if she remembers that a month had passed already since they were dating.  1
