Going To Watch A Movie

It was Sunday. 

Mo Roulan was seated inside the living room and watching a moving with Mo Chen. 

However, her attention was completely elsewhere. 

Her fingers hovered over the number she had been thinking of calling for the past few days. It was Shen Youlin's number. 

'Roulan, is possible don't call her for a few days.'

She remembered Shen Weisheng's words and sighed as she put aside her phone. 

Why would Shen Weisheng say so to her? She still didn't understand. 

She didn't mind if Shen Youlin was not into boys. She was Youlin's friend and she wanted to be by her side when Youlin was facing so many insults. 

However, Shen Weisheng's words had stopped her. 

She felt as if he said them because he knew something she didn't. As if that was best for Youlin but now…a lot of time has passed. 

She should contact Shen Youlin now, right? 

Mo Roulan came out of her trance when she heard her brother say.

"It is her mother who has killed that man."

She looked at the movie that was playing and then back at her brother who said these words with so much certainty. 

She was sure that Mo Chen had never seen this movie before. The movie had been recently released. 

In fact, she didn't want him to watch this movie but he seemed to be so adamant to watch it. 

She had expected him to be afraid while watching the first scene only but now she looked at her brother who had watched almost the whole movie and now was ready to tell the climax part as well. 

"Young Master, are you sure? I think it is her father."

The old butler who was seated them frowned and said.

However, Mo Chen shook his head and said 

"Her father knows everything but it is her mother who killed the man."

The butler was still frowning but didn't say anything. However, when the movie ended, the butler was shocked and Mo Roulan was looking at her brother with a serious expression on her face. 

"Young Master, how did you know it?"

The butler asked Mo Chen who merely shrugged his shoulders but didn't say anything. He had actually watched this movie in his past life so he knew the ending. 

However, when Mo Chen noticed his sister's probing expression, he suddenly felt nervous. 

Laughing dryly, he came up with an excuse.

"That…my friend had seen this movie. He had told me about the ending."

The butler believed Mo Chen and said as he stood up 

"I will go and see if the lunch is prepared."

  Mo Chen also climbed down from the sofa and said 

"I will go and check if my homework is completed."

Mo Roulan looked at her brother's back until he disappeared. Sometimes, Mo Chen's actions made her feel strange. 

As if he knew more than a child of his age should know. 

She had to put aside her worried regarding her brother when she heard the phone ringing. She smiled when she saw that it was He Jian who was calling her. 

"Mr. He, is your meeting finished?"

"Hmm…"

He Jian hummed gently in reply. 

"What are you doing?"

"Nothing."

Mo Roulan replied as she looked towards the butler who was signing her and saying that the lunch was ready. 

She nodded her head and the butler left.

"Do you want to watch a movie?"

Mo Roulan was surprised to hear He Jian's words. For a moment, she felt funny as she imagined her and He Jian going to watch a movie. 

The thought also made her feel excited so she said instantly.

"Yes!"

On the other side of the phone, He Jian chuckled sensing her excitement. 

"Alright, get ready. I will ask Chu Feng to book the tickets."

They cut the call after that. 

Mo Roulan had her lunch and then went to get ready. 

Before leaving with He Jian, she messaged Chi Rong that she was going out with her friends. After some thought, she left the same message with her mother hoping that she would reply. 

It had been three days now since she had last talked to her mother. And she didn't know if it was only her overthinking but she felt as if every time she talked to her mother, her mother's voice was weak and breathless. 

The phone in her hand rang and Mo Roulan saw that He Jian was calling her again. She knew that he was outside the mansion and waiting for her. 

So she picked up the purse and left the room. 

She told the butler that she is going out for a movie and then left the mansion. 

Outside He Jian was waiting for her inside the car. When she sat inside, she was immediately taken by him in his arms and kissed on the lips. 

Fortunately, there was a partition and the driver couldn't see them. 

So Mo Roulan shyly responded to the kiss. 

Her response drove He Jian crazy but he stopped after some time and helped her in tucking her hair behind her ear. 

"You look beautiful. Did you have lunch?"

Mo Roulan nodded her head in response and asked him the same. But she frowned when he said 

"Not yet."2

Seeing her frown, he chuckled and asked 

"What? Concerned about me?"

"Yes, you should have your "

Mo Roulan nodded her head seriously. 

Her response made He Jian's smile disappear. He had not expected her to accept it so naturally. He looked at her intensely as he pulled her closer.

No one had ever worried whether he had his three times meals on time or not…at least not since he had started to stay on his own. 

As much Mo Roulan's concern warmed his heart, he didn't like her frown. 

"Don't worry. I will be fine. I have the habit of missing meals."

But these words only made Mo Roulan's frown deeper. 

"When is the movie?"

"At three"

Mo Roulan held He Jian's hand and looked at the watch. There was still an hour. 

She nodded her head and looked at He Jian seriously as she said 

"Ask your driver to go to your apartment. You will first have your lunch then we will go to watch the movie."

He Jian smiled looking at her with such a serious face. 

But he didn't oppose her. 

After telling the driver what she said, he kissed her again. 

He wondered how he had been living without her in the past.
