The form the nurse wanted Chi Rong to sign said that Chi Rong would not blame the doctors and the hospitals if anything happened to Lin Qianru during the surgery. 

The words themselves filled Chi Rong's heart with dread because they indicated how risky the surgery was going to be. 

Mo Roulan was standing by his side and she could read the form. 

She covered her mouth as she read the form. 

Chi Rong somehow hardened his heart and signed the form. He knew that the surgery would not start as long as he would not sign it. He didn't wish to delay and put his wife more in danger. 

The nurse left after taking the filled form. 

Mo Roulan closed her eyes and covered her face. 

She was suddenly not understanding anything. Why was it happening so suddenly! Her mother was alright just yesterday …even after that man had left. 

But what happened today? 

How did her mother get to know that she was dating He Jian?

When this question came to Mo Roulan's mind, she suddenly wiped her tears and looked at Chi Rong. 

"Dad, I think something is wrong."

Chi Rong knew what Mo Roulan was saying. She had said that a nurse had sent her out and after she returned, Lin Qianru was behaving differently from before. 

So it was possible that something happened during those few moments. 

"Don't worry."

He said.

"I will find it out."

Mo Roulan nodded her head and Chi Rong left. This time, Mo Roulan decided not to move away from the front of her mother's room regardless of who came. 

If only she had known before she would have never left her mother alone!

Shen Zhilan and Shen Yiling returned to the hotel after leaving the hospital. 

However, as soon as they stepped inside, Wang Weimin who was standing at the reception noticed them. 

Wang Weimin had actually noticed the missing permission slip from the hospital and was worried. That slip was the only thing he could use to enter the hospital and see Lin Qianru.

"From where are both of you returning?"

Wang Weimin really hoped that it was not what he was thinking. Shen Zhilan should not know about Lin Qianru. Who would tell her!

He would never do that and there was no one else who knew about Lin Qianru being in New York. 

Shen Zhilan looked at him who was so hyper. Her eyes flashed with pain and coldness. Was he afraid that she would hurt his sweetheart? 

She was not afraid of Wang Weimin. Anyway, she had not been able to win his heart for so many years. But she still would not let go of him. 

Thinking this, she said very proudly.

"From the hospital…where your sweetheart is admitted."

Wang Weimin's heart sank when he heard Shen Zhilan. However, he was aware that they were standing at the reception. Therefore, he suddenly held Shen Zhilan's wrist and dragged her to his room.

Shen Yiling called out in concern but her concern was only until Shen Zhilan disappeared. After that, she looked as if Shen Zhilan was not related to her in any manner.

She smiled heartily. 

Everything went just as she had wanted. 

Now, she would wait for Mo Roulan to break with He Jian. If she didn't do then she would make He Jian see what kind of disgusting background Mo Roulan's mother had. 

Shen Yiling was very sure that He Jian would never stay with Mo Roulan after knowing this…after all, He family would never accept Mo Roulan who had such a background. 

Thinking that everything was finally sorted out, Shen Yiling happily returned to her own room.

Shen Yiling and Shen Zhilan never knew that Lin Qianru was married to a man like Chi Rong so they had never expected that with the kind of family Lin Qianru had, they would ever be able to check CCTV footage and then even find out that they had ever entered the hospital and Lin Qianru's room. 

In other words, they were very certain that no one would come to know about their deeds and even if Lin Qianru would reveal that they had entered her room what could anyone do them!

Her family simply didn't have any power to stand against Shen family even though Shen Family itself was not doing much great in the market!

However, there was now Chi Rong in Lin Qianru's family. He was her husband. If Mo Roulan said to him that she thinks that something was wrong then he would believe his daughter and try to find it out. 

And that was what he was doing at this moment. 

Inside the hospital, Chi Rong was currently standing in front of the huge screen which showed the CCTV footage of the area in front of Lin Qianru's room. 

The person sitting in front of the computer fast-forwarded the footage to the time Chi Rong had asked him to. 

Chi Rong watched the video silently and when he saw two figures in front of his wife's ward, his eyes narrowed. But the two women disappeared suddenly. 

It was a few minutes later that he saw Mo Roulan coming out of the room with a slip in her hands and the two women then entered his wife's room. 

Chi Rong's eyes flashed with coldness as he said

"Stop here!"2

He looked at the two women carefully wondering who they were. 

His eyes narrowed and he recognize one of them. Wasn't it the daughter of that old man Shen, Shen Zhilan?

Chi Rong had met Grandfather Shen and Shen Zhilan as both of them were close to his Uncle. His uncle's company and Shen Enterprises had completed many deals and done many projects together. 

However, after he had started his own hotel chain, he had never met anyone from Shen family. 

But what was Shen Zhilan doing in front of his wife's room? And why did she want to go inside?

The most important thing was what did she do to stimulate Lin Qianru!

"Send the video to me"

He said to the person seated in front of the computer who did so immediately. 

"Yes, Sir."

With that, Chi Rong left the room.

Mo Roulan was seated in front of the ward when Chi Rong returned. 

"Dad, did you find out anything?"

She asked as soon as she saw him. 

Chi Rong nodded his head. He took out his phone and sat beside Mo Roulan as she opened the video recently sent to him. 

"These two women entered the room when you left."

Mo Roulan frowned as she looked at the two women's backs. She couldn't recognize anyone for a few moments. 

It was only when the two of them suddenly turned towards the camera did she see their faces and her heart went cold. 

Because one of the two women was Shen Yiling!

She could recognize that face very well.

But what was Shen Yiling doing there?

In her mind, flashed a few memories from her past life.

She was scared that Shen Yiling would succeed in this life as well. 

That she would lose her mother. 

At that moment, Mo Roulan immensely regretted that she started dating He Jian. 

She should have stayed away. 

He Jian was never hers. She again tried to get something that didn't belong to her and for that, she was afraid she would have to face the punishment.
