"Xiao Rou…what is wrong?"

Wang Weimin saw that Mo Roulan's face was quite pale and he was concerned. However, Mo Roulan didn't say anything. 

She didn't know what she should say. 

Fortunately, Chi Rong returned soon after making a call at Chi Mansion. Seeing Wang Weimin again, his eyes went cold as he thought that he was again trying to talk to Mo Roulan forcefully. 

"What are you doing here?"

Chi Rong asked. He held Mo Roulan's arm and pulled her behind himself. Mo Roulan didn't resist. 

She felt that she really needed support. 

Her eyes felt hot. 

Shen Yiling got everything. 

Shen Yiling even had her father. It was not the envy that Mo Roulan felt. 

She just wondered if something was wrong with her… her fate. She wondered if the gods were protecting Shen Yiling though she couldn't understand the reason behind it. 

One could not blame Mo Roulan for thinking this.

In her past life, Shen Yiling got He Jian and she only got suffering because of wanting He Jian. In her love for him, she lost her family. 

And in this life as well, she was getting to know that her father…had been Shen Yiling's father. 

Now when she got together with He Jian, her mother's disease surged up again.

He Jian and she were never meant to be together.

Chi Rong and Wang Weimin were arguing but she didn't pay attention. 

She just picked up her phone, found He Jian's member, and left a text. 

"Let's break up."

A tear slid down from her eyes but she wiped it away. 

She should have done it long ago…when her mother was asking her to do it. Then perhaps her mother would have been fine. 

In fact, she should not have chosen the path she had been trying to avoid from the start. 

She had been stupid and she was suffering because of that. 

Still, Mo Roulan begged that gods would favor her once. Let her mother be alright. 

In return, she would never dare to desire what doesn't belong to her.

Wang Weimin had to leave because Chi Rong threatened to call for security but while talking to Chi Rong, he came to know that Lin Qianru was not in a good condition. 

The doctor had stepped out of her hospital room and he had seen Chi Rong walking to the doctor and ask

"Doctor, how is my wife?"

The doctor had a grim expression on his face and had said

"We can't say anything for now. Mrs. Chi's body is not responding to the treatment."

As much as the way the doctor called Lin Qianru 'Mrs. Chi' angered Wang Weimin, he was panicked hearing that she was not alright. 

"What happened to her?"

He had asked the doctor who had looked at him in confusion. It was after that that Chi Rong threatened him and he had to leave without even getting to know what exactly had happened. 

But he was sure that it was because of Shen Zhilan. Lin Qianru was fine when he visited her. 

Wang Weimin was afraid. 

He remembered that his friend had told him that Lin Qianru needed immediate treatment. 

He wanted to take her to the doctor his friend had prescribed him. His friend had said that the doctor he suggested was the best. 

Wang Weimin had made all the arrangements. Even if Shen Enterprises was in crisis, he had enough money with him which could afford a very good or should be called the best treatment for Lin Qianru. 

He had considered Shen Enterprises as his own company as long as he was working in it. But he had also put aside an amount for him which he earned for himself. The amount had accumulated to a very big amount. 

Before he had thought that when the market would calm down and He family would forget about Shen company then he would invest his money and make Shen Enterprises stand again. 

But after seeing Lin Qianru, Wang Weimin had a change in his plans. 

He would use this money for Lin Qianru's treatment and later he would start his own company. After so many years he had his own connections and a huge experience and he was sure that he will be able to create a huge company on his own. 

But for that, he should first have Lin Qianru by his side. 

However, he could see that that man who claimed to be Lin Qianru's husband would not let this happen. And his daughter also seems to alienate him so Wang Weimin knew that she would not help him. 

He needed to find some other way to take Lin Qianru with him.

Wang Weimin was very clever as he soon came up with a way. He went to the hotel and then to the room he was living in. There he found Shen Zhilan as expected. 

Wang Weimin walked to the bed where Shen Zhilan was applying some ointment on her throat. He could see the signs of his fingers on her throat but he didn't feel even a little bit of guilt. 

This woman had made him feel the same for so many years. In his eyes, she deserved this. 

He asked her directly the question inside his heart.

"Why did you say that I can't go back to her? I never divorced her. She is still my wife so I have legal rights to her. It is you who forced me to live with you and your family, Shen Zhilan but I don't have any relationship with you. I might be your husband in other people's eyes but in reality, we have nothing between us."

Wang Weimin said very coldly. 

Shen Zhilan stopped applying the ointment when she heard his words. 

Her eyes were filled with rage and she stood up from the bed. Walking closer to him, she smiled coldly and said 

"Do you really think that there is nothing between us, Wang Weimin?"

When she said this, Shen Zhilan tried to touch his face but Wang Weimin avoided her hand like a plague. Though hurt, She Zhilan smiled more coldly and enlightened him. 

"You and Your sweetheart are already divorced and as for how…you should know me by now. Not only this, you are married to me. You might not remember but I made you sign some papers when you were not well. You didn't read them."

Shen Zhilan's eyes flickered with pride as she continued2

"They were your divorce papers with that woman and marriage certificate approval for both of us."

Wang Weimin's eyes went red with anger when he heard this. Although he had expected such a thing already, he was still shaking with anger. 

All these years he had been thinking Lin Qianru was still his wife. So what if they were not together, he had thought that she belonged to him and his heart would always belong to her. 

However, this was not the truth. 

"You…the marriage is not possible without my physical presence."

He whispered suddenly. 

Shen Zhilan looked proud when she heard her question. She seemed as if she had achieved something great when she told me. 

"Anything is possible with money, darling."

It was true that a couple could not get a marriage certificate without their physical presence in the office. However, Shen Zhilan had bribed the officers with a huge amount of money and had been able to get a legal marriage certificate for both of them. 

"You are disgusting."

Wang Weimin said and Shen Zhilan's eyes went cold. 

Although his hatred hurt him, she pretended as if it didn't. He could hate her for all his life but she would never let him get together with that woman. 

The thing which she couldn't get, should not belong to others as well. 

Wang Weimin's eyes were filled with disgust when he looked at Shen Zhilan. A few moments later, he left the room.

Closing the door, he took a small recorder from his pocket and smiled coldly. 

He had gotten what he wanted. 

Now he will expose Shen Zhilan's deeds.

Wang Weimin was sure that he would be able to prove that his divorce from Lin Qianru was not legal using this. 

And once that would be proven, Lin Qianru's marriage with that man would not be legal as there was one marriage rule. 

Hence, he and Lin Qianru would be married to each other legally again. Then no one would be able to stop him from taking Lin Qianru with him. 

Thinking this, Wang Weimin was very satisfied. 

He didn't waste a single moment in calling his lawyer and telling him everything. The lawyer asked him to send him the recording. After talking to the lawyer, he went to the hospital again. 

After all, Lin Qianru's treatment needed to be started soon.
