They were standing outside the villa and the rain had started pouring again. A bodyguard was holding the umbrella for Mo Roulan but Mo Roulan signed him to leave. 

The rain was not even that much and she could tolerate it. 

The bodyguard left and Shen Youlin finally whispered

"Auntie…is she …."

Shen Youlin couldn't complete her words. She couldn't believe it. She had not known anything. She had not met Mo Roulan since she had seen Mo Roulan and He Jian kissing in the theater. 

In the past few days, she had been with Song Xinyi. Slowly, the news spread everywhere.

Mo Roulan had been there for her in her difficult time as a friend but she …she didn't do anything for Mo Roulan. 

Shen Youlin's heart was filled with guilt. 

Mo Roulan stood still. She wondered how she should behave around Shen Youlin. Her heart was filled with conflict. 

She was the daughter of Wang Weimin, daughter of the woman who harmed her mother, the sister of the girl who not only killed her in her past life although indirectly but was not leaving any chance to harm her in this life as well. 

However, the next moment some other memories flashed in front of her eyes. 

Yes, Shen Youlin was related to them. 

But…Shen Youlin never considered them her family. Mo Roulan remembered that she even said she didn't care about anyone of them. 

When she thought this, Mo Roulan's hands unconsciously started to raise on their own to hug Shen Youlin back. Even the coldness in her eyes was starting to reduce. 

But before she could hug Shen Youlin's back, she suddenly heard a familiar voice. 

"Do you think that she is really your friend, Mo Roulan?"

Mo Roulan looked towards Shen Yiling who was walking towards her and her eyes went cold. 

Even her sight made her feel disgusted. If Chi Rong had not assured her that he would let Shen Family pay back in a manner she couldn't she would not have been so calm on seeing Shen Yiling and Shen Zhilan. 

If she could she would have killed them without any hesitation after what they did to her mother. Her mother would have been alright if not for them.

That was how much she hated Shen Yiling and Shen Zhilan. 

However, the words Shen Yiling said made her frown. On the other hand, Shen Youlin stiffened when she heard Shen Yiling. 

She instantly left Mo Roulan and turned around to look at Shen Yiling. However, Shen Yiling smiled at her mockingly which scared Shen Youlin further. 

Shen Yiling was feeling very uncomfortable after seeing how Mo Roulan behaved inside. However, she could see that she was not Mo Roulan's opponent right now. 

Mo Roulan had so many bodyguards to protect her. 

She couldn't hurt Mo Roulan physically…however…Shen Yiling smiled. She could always hurt her in many other ways. 

"Do you even know what a great help your dear friend has been to me, Mo Roulan?"

Shen Yiling pointed at Shen Youlin as she looked at Mo Roulan with a fake innocent smile on her lips. 

Mo Roulan looked at her with a deep frown and then at Shen Youlin unable to understand what Shen Yiling was talking about. 

On the other hand, Shen Youlin's forehead was covered with sweat. She wanted to step forward to stop Shen Yiling but before she could do so, Shen Yiling was fast and said 

"If it had not been Shen Youlin, I would have never come to know that you broke up with Cheng Yang …you even started dating Brother Jian. My sister had been a very good spy of mine, isn't she, Mo Roulan? As soon as she would get to know something about you, she would call me and tell me eve…"

Shen Youlin held Shen Yiling's hand and stared at her with request-filled eyes. But the damage was already done. 

Mo Roulan was staring at Shen Youlin with blank eyes. Her heart was actually filled with shock. 

All the tender feelings that she had inside her heart toward Shen Youlin vanished suddenly. Shen Youlin was the only person who she had thought she could rely on outside her family. 

But it seems that she was in a very big illusion. 

No one…not even a single one of them was trustworthy except her family. 

She should not have cared about anyone from the start but her family. If she had then she would not have faced what she was facing today. 

"Roulan…I can exaplain…"

Shen Youlin called out in panic filled voice and tried to approach Mo Roulan. However, Mo Roulan avoided her hands and stepped back. 

Without even looking at Shen Youlin again and she sat inside the car and the bodyguards immediately blocked Shen Youlin who tried to go towards the car. 

The car left Shen Mansion slowly and Mo Roulan never looked back at Shen Youlin who was shouting for her to stop. 

In the end, she learned her lesson …a lesson hard to forget ever.
