Lin Qianru Is Still Alive

Two years ago, when Lin Qiaru's surgery was still undergoing, Chi Rong received a letter on his phone from the authorities which declared that his marriage with Lin Qianru was invalid on the grounds that the divorce between Lin Qianru and Wang Weimin happened without the latter's information.1

The letter also said that as Lin Qianru's husband, Wang Weimin had the right to decide where she should be treated if she was not in a situation that could allow her to decide so.

The declaration had left Chi Rong dumbstruck. He had called his lawyer but the lawyer told him that he couldn't do anything as Wang Weimin had a piece of concrete evidence in his favor.

Now Lin Qianru was to be with him as the authorities had declared. In fact, if Wang Weimin wishes then he can let the authorities punish Lin Qianru for marrying again even though she already had a husband.

How could Chi Rong let that happen?

How could he let his wife be in the protection of a man who had already left her once like a coward? Chi Rong felt disgusted with even Wang Weimin's name. So how could he leave his precious wife in his care?

It could already be seen what kind of man Wang Weimin was from his actions. The woman he claimed to love was lying inside the hospital room …undergoing surgery.

Yet, there he was doing all this rubbish…instead of trying to stay by her side. Even if Chi Rong would not allow that to happen, he couldn't notice Wang Weimin's attempts as well. All he could see was Wang Weimin's selfishness and possessiveness.

Chi Rong was sure that everything would be fine once Lin Qianru would wake up.

"We have saved Mrs. Chi. Her surgery was also successful but…I am sorry to declare Mr. Chi. your wife is in a coma, now."

In the end, they made a plan. They declared that Lin Qianru was dead. If she was dead, then how could Wang Weimin claim to have any rights on her.

Mo Roulan whispered as she leaned down and kissed her mother's forehead. Chi Rong was still standing by her side.

They exited the room together.

As soon as they did, they saw Mo Chen standing there.

"Chenchen, come inside and talk to your mother. She must be missing you a lot, my son."

Chi Rong spoke as he stepped forward and ruffled Mo Chen's hair. His eyes were filled with hope that Mo Chen would listen to him but Mo Chen shook his head declining his offer.

Mo Roulan looked equally upset.

For these two whole years, Mo Chen had seen their mother only once and that was when she had told him that she was still alive.

Mo Chen had been inconsolable. Mo Roulan remembered. Unable to see him like that, she had taken him inside a room when the mansion was full of people and had told him the truth.

However, he didn't seem to believe her. It was only when he saw their mother did he came to his senses.

However, after that, he never went to see Lin Qianru even once.

Mo Roulan had thought of giving some time but two years had passed and Mo Chen's attitude in this matter has still not changed.

"Mo Chen, All of us are hurting but you can't ignore the truth like this. Go and talk to Mother."

Mo Roulan said coldly.

Chi Rong frowned and held her hand to stop her while Mo Chen stared at her silently.

A few moments later, he suddenly walked away from there.

"Mo Chen!"

Mo Roulan shouted and was furious when she saw that he was not stopping at all.

She was ready to go behind him in his room and to fill some sense in his mind. But Chi Rong held her hand to stop her and said strictly

"Roulan, he is no longer a child. You can't control him like this. If we will do this, then he will go far away from us."

Although Mo Chen was only fourteen, Chi Rong could see that his behavior was not that of a fourteen year old. He didn't know if it was because of the circumstances that he was suddenly like this but he was always careful around him and never forced him to do anything he didn't wish to do.

Mo Roulan's lips were pressed in a thin line when she heard Chi Rong but she listened to him and didn't go behind Chi Rong.

Chi Rong sighed in relief.

He held her hand and led her to her room. Standing outside her room, he opened the door for her and said

"Go and rest. Today was a long day for you. Since it is a happy event, I will ask the cook to make all your favorites."

Chi Rong said gently.

However, Mo Roulan didn't look impressed and said emotionlessly.

"I don't wish to have dinner."

After saying this, she went inside her room and closed the door. 

Standing outside the room, Chi Rong sighed in despair.

In the end, he walked to the room Lin Qianru was in and sat down near her bed.

Holding her hand, Chi Rong kissed it lightly and closed his eyes. His chin wobbled slightly and he spoke in a hoarse voice.

"Qianru, wake up soon. I am afraid that I won't be able to hold everything together for long."
