Shi Fengju Sees The Truth

Shen Yiling gleefully looked at the money in her hands. When she raised her head again, she smiled very innocently at a classmate of hers and said

"Thank you so much, Gu Xian."

Gu Xian pressed his glasses against his nose and a red blush covered his ears as he said 

"No need of thanks. You are in need of money. I can do this at least."

He had actually saved this money to shift to a new flat soon. The one in which he lived was very small and the neighbors were very noisy. However, when he saw Shen Yiling crying and came to know that she needed money for her mother's medicines, he couldn't stop herself and gave her the saved money. 

Actually, he liked her a lot but he never got any chance to tell her this. Perhaps he could do that today. 

Gu Xian blushed again and opened his mouth to speak

"Yiling…actually I wanted to tell you something since long ago…I …"

How could Shen Yiling not know what he had wanted to say! She was very much experienced with these kinds of things.

After all, she had kept Shi Fengju under her paw for so many years. She knew that he loved her but she never acknowledged his feelings and at the same time, she kept using him to get close to He Jian.

Gu Xian didn't know that he was just another Shi Fengju for Shen Yiling.

Shen Yiling hid her disgust and said hurriedly stopped Gu Xiian amidst his words

"Gu Xian, then I will leave. My mother must be waiting for me. She needs to have the medicines urgently."

Gu Xian stopped speaking when he heard these words. Although his eyes were filled with disappointment that he couldn't confess his feelings, he nodded his head fervently and said

"Yes, You should leave immediately."

Then he felt embarrassed as he said

"I would have dropped you back home but my bicycle broke down in the morning and I need to get it repaired."

Shen Yiling hid her disgust again. As if she would sit on that wasted bicycle in her life ever!

Looking at Gu Xian, she smiled forcefully and said

"It's alright. I will leave now."

After saying these words, she hurriedly left from there.

Gu Xian sighed as he looked at her back.

No one out of them knew that Shi Fengju was standing only a few steps away. He had watched everything.

After last night's dream, he just couldn't stay at home. He came here thinking to find Shen Yiling. He had seen her crying but for the first time, he didn't feel like going to her and comforting her.

He just stood in a corner and saw Gu Xian walking to her.

He saw how Gu Xian took out his money and gave it to her. He even heard her excuse.

For her mother's medicines…Shi Fengju was sure that Shen Zhilan was quite healthy and working in a company to meet the family's ends after Shen Enterprises went completely bankrupt two years ago.

He just met Shen Zhilan yesterday. Although she looked exhausted, she didn't look as if she needed the costly medicines as Shen Yiling described.

He even saw how Shen Yiling interrupted Gu Xian. He knew very well what the latter wanted to say. 

Surprisingly, he didn't feel any anger towards Gu Xian knowing that he liked Shen Yiling…unlike how in the past, he would feel jealous towards He Jian as well because Shen Yiling would always focus on him with all her attention. 

Instead, as he stood there, Shi Fengju looked at Shen Yiling in a new light.

He could feel disgust filling up his heart while looking at her. It was as if someone had suddenly removed the blindfold from his eyes and he could see everything very clearly.

Now looking at Gu Xian standing alone under the tree, Shi Fengju only felt sympathy for the boy and wished that he would also come out of the illusion Shen Yiling was creating for him.

After witnessing this scene, he silently left the college.

However, during the whole ride back to his mansion, the scenes from last night's dream never left his mind.

Shen Yiling seemed to be the exact person from his dream.

Selfish, arrogant, money-minded, and cruel enough to make her mother sick just to get some money…but what about Mo Roulan!

Was she really that innocent in everything he saw in his dream?

And did that all really happen whatever he saw in his dream?

Shi Fengju didn't know the answers.

But he was to find them out slowly.

He had a long time for that.

Chi Rong stepped inside the room where Lin Qianru was lying unconscious and smiled when he saw Mo Roulan giving her a body wipe.

"You should have rest inside your room. The nurse can do this."

They had a nurse for Lin Qianru but whenever Mo Roulan was home she would do this on her own.

Chi Rong had come a few minutes ago as well after returning from his office but the room was locked and he understood that Mo Roulan must be wiping Li Qianru's body so he went to another room to get fresh. 

Mo Roulan wiped her mother's fingers gently and put down the cloth in her hands.

She was done.

Mo Roulan turned around to look at Chi Rong and frowned when she saw exhaustion clearly written all over his face.

She was sure that he returned from the office and then didn't even have rest before coming here.

"You should have some rest, Dad. I am here with Mom."

Chi Rong had opened his mouth to refuse but he suddenly thought something and changed his words

"I will. But you need to promise me something first."

Mo Roulan frowned and waited for him to continue.

"You will go and have a look at the site I have chosen for your fashion-designing boutique."

Mo Roulan frowned more deeply. She had told Chi Rong that she wanted to do on her own everything. Chi Rong understood what she was thinking and said

"I am not forcing you to start it urgently. Just have a look once. In the future, whenever you will wish to start, I will be assured that I have a site to your liking."

Mo Roulan sighed.1

She could see that Chi Rong wouldn't give up so she nodded her head.

"Alright, I will go there tomorrow."

Chi Rong was more than happy. He walked t Lin Qianru, kissed her forehead, and then left the room to rest in another room.
